  3. Take back the oil drilling location that is currently captured by ISIS forces. This should be a quick operation. They will not see it coming. I wanted to create a scenario that would be fun to play once or twice and without minimal frustrations. It's not the hardest mission if you time the attack correctly. You have to start the operation with radio Alpha. You will hear a radio message and a feed when they are moving in.     Hi Community, Since Contact came out I was walking around and looking at the placement of objects in the Campaign. In the second mission you get called to a tent which is open on one side and closed on the other one and I would like to do that. Sadly I haven't found a way yet (you can only hide or unhide both doors but not a single one [actually at the decon-tent you can close only 1 door]) Thx in Advance!

The Arma 3 Battalion is nearly 70 players strong and we are part of the TAW Community which means we have 50+ other Divisions specialized in different games - in short you will always have someone to play with if you decide to spin up another game.   9. INVASION SCENARIO: AI are meant to be left ENABLED!!! This scenario was born out of my desire for a fun sandbox-like game mode that me and a/few friends could setup quickly and replay. Essentially an entertaining "classic" for me and my buddies to fall-back on. What i ended up with was a procedurally - generated, PVE, Sector Control mission. With that being said, let’s go over some of what I think are the more interesting features (all of them DUH!😆). Combined arms style combat Whole map, or hemispherical sector placement of Enemy Sectors and objectives Heavily modified variants of EOS and COS to create a more believable and varied world while minimizing CPU demand Randomized civilian and enemy ground and air traffic Custom revive system accompanied by a custom “auto-medic” system Command Points scoring system & stores Randomized and changing weather and randomized or selectable time of day 1-8 player co-op multiplayer up to two squads of 4 people Fully works with vanilla save system ONLY MOD REQUIRED - CBA_A3 The scenario essentially plays out like this: You can have one to so many Enemy Sectors (amount of sectors based on the map) spread out over the whole map randomly, or in a more collected randomly chosen hemisphere (to keep travel times and logistics to a minimum (When you ain't got time for that ****!)). You start at HQ or base (DUH!) and plop down a Forward Operating Position. The FOP will function as a re-spawn point for you and KIA squad mates (AI or otherwise), as well as a Command Point (CP) store and arsenal. The objective is to occupy all Enemy Sectors and hold them all simultaneously. The enemy will continuously send reinforcements to replenish the ranks (as you do) unless you locate and destroy the enemy Forward Command Center. Doing so will halt all future reinforcements (although this isn't necessary for victory). All of this will be handled by the vanilla tasks system. New side task possibilities will be added as discovered on the battlefield. There may even be some prerequisite tasks to complete before you can take on the Enemy Sectors for victory. All tasks will of course reward the completing squad with CP to be spent at the Command Point Store. How to earn Command Points: You earn CP by killing enemies and completing tasks, as well as holding sectors. Killing civilians however, loses you 5 CP. “What the f*** do command points buy?” The Command Store and Support Stores can be accessed by the squad leader and will allow you to deploy vehicles for your squad as well as commendable units (using High Command mode (Left Ctrl + Space)) and supports (i.e. artillery strikes, various air support, and supply drops ).     NATO UNIT OVERHAUL

    What is this mod? This mod Improves the way the default NATO soldiers look in the game by replacing them with gear already existing in the game, as well as some slighlty retextured helmets. I aimed for them to look like how they were in the alpha, beta and release candidate of the game. I mainly did this by making the Enhanced combat helmet the norm compared to the combat helmet as I personally think they look alot better and suit the 2035 setting alot more. I also restricted the use of the Carrier special rig and GL Rig to certain roles as I think they were over used and I personally dont like them as I think they're "too chubby". I also retextured the ECH and LCH slightly by adding a US flag so they look like they did in the Pre-alpha version of Arma 3. Why download this mod? Small file size - 17.7 mb! Better looking units that work on any mission. New retextured helmets to incorporate US flag while not compromising the normal ones so you can still use them for other missions. This is my first mod I've ever made, so while its only small and simple, any feedback would be greatly appreciated!   15. I have redesigned various units from NATO, AAF, CSAT and FIA using various mods and am wanting to replace the default load outs (Rifleman, Combat Life Saver, Marksman Etc.) in the Eden editor menu with these. Could someone explain how or link me.

  17. I have redone majority of the unit presets for AAf, NATO, CSAT and the FIA and am wanting to use these to make a faction overhaul for myself (not a public mod). I basically want them to be who i see in campaigns and in the Eden Editor. I have used mods. If you can explain how to replace the current unit presets with these ones or give me a link i would much appreciate it.

  19. https://gyazo.com/27e4f556f11939bc7afbabde05b9e5e1 I'm fairly new to modding and I'm trying to create a replacement pack for the current NATO which changes their equipment to gear already existing in the game. I'm trying to make them look more like they were in the Alpha/Beta and first release of the game. But some of my mod config isn't working and I'm not sure why? My rifleman class works fine but when trying to create the grenadier class, I'm having some issues, the uniform, vest and helmet I want (which is identical to the rifleman just for testing purposes) isn't appearing and instead is just left with the vanilla gear, but I know some of the config is working somewhat because it has the addon image next to it in the editor and the backpack I placed on him works. Any help towards tidying my config up (as most of it is a copy and paste of sample configs which I've edited) and making it work would be massively appreciated.

The North Atlantic Expeditionary Force Strong Alone, Stronger Together Introduction The North Atlantic Expeditionary Force is a fictional unit, depicting a permanent and independent military under NATO. With this, we see it fit to vary the equipment used by the Unit from operation to operation, allowing for a varying experience in each of our campaigns. Campaigns consist of story-driven experiences; with realistic military briefings, multiple objectives and varying squad setups. Members that are not in active leadership positions are able to select different roles during each operation (subject to training and competency), to allow for a varying and challenging experience for all. Training will be supplied from basic, up to and including specialisation or leadership trainings. Training & Operation Every Saturday we will have a main/campaign operation where every member is expected to participate in. Being capable of selecting various roles instead of forced in a locked position we thing may increase the fun experience in a actual Arma 3 Milsim unit. All Operations will have a dedicated Zeus team that will oversee the operation progress and communicate between the members/zeus team to increase effectiveness and realism into our operations. Every Sunday we will have a training mission ready for all members that wish to specialise in a certain role or complete their cadet/soldier training. In every training mission we make sure that our members know the basics of being a soldier in our unit. Explaining several subjects and discussions amongst cadets we ensure that communication between eachother is vital. Hierarchy & Structure In every unit we must of course utilise a military ranking system, as most units just generally pick their countries hierarchy, we chose to make our own one, a combination of ranks between countries we see this fit because of our unit's theme. We also utilise multiple components inside the unit, ranging from armoured warfare, Air Combat, Infantry Elements, Long Range weaponry and Support Units, combining all these elements will surely create a ultimate experience of realistic combat.     35 years of NATO

    So today is the day that NATO celebrates its 35th years of NATO Airbase Geilenkirchen. to do so they have a "Tag de offene tür" (day of the open door) at their airfield in Geilenkirchen, Germany. Ofcoarse I'll try to get as many pictures of the 70 planes present there for the modding community to use hopefully also allot of inside pictures from the transport and AWACS planes.   23. Hey, I'm working on a PMC/Contractor uniform reskin, and I'm looking to reskin the NATO Combat Uniform (Tee) as part of it. It's near-impossible to retexture Stavrou's combat uniforms as I do not like the tattoos the uniform model inherits, and the rest of the textures in my pack are just of simple cargo pants/duty pants, not the Crye G3 style pants with the integrated joint protection and stretch zones. What I'm after is a texture that converts those pants into regular cargo/BDU style pants. Preferably, I am after a 2048x2048 NOHQ file that I can use as an overlay for the pack, and the pants would ideally closely resemble the pants used on the FIA Guerilla Garment with the rolled-sleeve shirt. I would do it myself, but I have very little experience in editing normal maps to that extent. If anyone can assist, that would be greatly appreciated.
  24. I am currently playing on arma 3 's official 16+2 zeus server, and Im struggling to add more than one faction. When choosing mission as admin I only have the option to make: master stratis/altis NATO/CSAT/AAF but not two at once. I would like players to compete. How can I change that?

Hello everyone, being thinking at the new 64 bit support of the game being worked on and jet DLC and all of the other stuff and what i have to say is: wow great can't wait! but: talking about Apex expansion being released since July 2016 (7 months ago) i have the impression of sitting in front of an unfinished job. We've paid for the expansion, which is not a common DLC but an expansion and i have the feeling that NATO is a little bit "left behind". I mean the tan camo for vehicles in a pacific jungle environment is somewhat ridicolous and i was asking to myself: will BIS ever make those vehicle in proper camo pattern? ATM the expansion seems to be CSAT focused, but i believe talking about an expansion which is not only a Faction DLC but an expansion, all of the NATO vehicle must have proper camo pattern. Talking about an expansion i would recall Operation Arrowhead quality design and content additions and upgrades (proper camos, proper units exc.). Now, why Apex has basically a totally reworked (very well) faction, (i mean CSAT), new faction syndikat which is great, CTRG which is great, but it is a marginal faction for mission making because they basically are special forces and nothing more and Gendarmerie which is another marginal faction, but not a total "conversion" of the NATO faction which is a major faction expecially talking about mission making? Talking about DLCs: I have to say that we're talking about paid additional content, i want to support BIS as i want new stuff as well, so i bought all of them, but for an example if i want to make a Ground Support mission on the Expansion's map (which is an aweeesssome map), of Tanoa i will not have Tropic pattern soldiers, because i can't choose the NATO pacific or CSAT pacific factions in the modules and the same goes for Sites modules and some weapons of the marksman DLC do not have tropic pattern and not all of them has at least khaki color. So my questions are: Will all of this left behind job ever be worked on or is it abandoned in the shelf of the office? Will we get the same great support that we saw time ago about other armaverse expansions? Are there any official statement about these matters around? because i can't find them. thanks in advance. Personal statement: I love to make missions and scripts but sadly i don't love being forced to install mods for fixing left behind job and forcing my community to download such mods.
