  2. What is the United States Marine Corps ArmA 3 MilSim unit? The USMCA3 Unit is a newly recruiting MilSim. The USMC started recruitment in the start of July 2018, with nearly two months under our belt, we have achieved nearly 40 members, with roughly 25-30 active.   3. What are the EL76_Logistics? This is a logistics mod package, which we have been using at Gametwitter for a long time, but now we want to make it available to the public. Why EL_76? LCM-8 Landing Craft This landing craft offers you a real powerhouse on the water. The ramp can be lowered for the pleasant driveway of the vehicle or for entry of the infantry. The vehicle offers space for 16 soldiers and a driver on board. In addition, a vehicle can be added. 2. Floating Bridge These swimming bridges are powerful ways to continue on the path over water. Your pioneers will be pleased about this quality product. This makes it easy to put a pontoon bridge over a water hazard. So that they do not have to transport the bridges individually, we have supplied the good old MTRV from Arma2 as a transport vehicle. Thus you manage to transport five of these floating bridges in one go. 3. Faltschwimmbrücke (FSB) German Army In a very early stage of our development department are the so-called floating folding bridges. These offer you the full potential of a floating bridge.   5. Who are we? We are the G Squadron inside of 22nd Special Air Sevice Regiment. We are the SAS Regiment who operates as part of the British army. We perform all types of missions including covert, paradrops, naval assaults. What we have to offer? What we have to offer people (if they put the effort in) is a realistic military simulation that uses proper UKSF tactics and procedures. We also have many different areas for troops to specialise in such as: Radio Operator Marksman Pilot Combat Medic Machine Gunner And more. Our Structure We are structured like a SAS Squadron. We have a major as our Squadron OC and a Captain as the 2IC. We are looking into adding the 4 different troops but not at the moment. I am the Acting OC and Captain of the Unit and we have a RSM as the Acting 2IC. Recruitment If you are looking to join the process is as follows. You are given a number. An interview Selection process. The interview is conducting on a 1 to 1 with only you and the Directing staff in the room. If you pass the interview then you become a recruit and have 2 weeks to pass the selection process. Selection is done in teams of 2 or more and is done in phases. I am not going to go into detail as that would defeat the purpose of this. What is required of you You are required to have Teamspeak and discord. You are also required to have Tfar working as we use it in operations. One of our DS can help with installing it if nessacary. You are also required to have knowledge of the SAS and of Arma 3.   6. 25th Joint Task Force (RECRUITING) Who are we? Well, as you can tell already, we are a new community looking for players to come and join us in a new milsim. Me and my friend have been planning of making a milsim community for some time now, and we decided to do it now. The Background of 25th JTF. So the 25th JTF is a combination of the USMC, US Army and the USAF. They are based in Takistan on a base called Fort Shadow. They have plenty roles to be filled which can use tons of different equipment. Roles such as Pilot can go from a F-35 to a Medevac, other roles includes drone pilot, spotters and engineers. Who do we want? To start the operations, we require around 20-25 active players. This is to get a few basic squads, a pilot and some command roles filled up. However we aim pretty high as we would like to get a command centre, roughly 3 platoons ( 3 squads in each platoon ) and a Air force squadron. Although we know this will take some time and plan to start small and go on from there. We would like players who know what they're doing, and have some idea of a military lifestyle as we wish to keep roleplay to a high standard. However things like saying "Yes Sir" to officer will be dropper unless told to. What can you expect? First of all, we aim to have a community that can be casual between the ranks and have some banter. However, there needs to be a level of trust between everyone. Everyone in this community needs to be in sync and know what they are doing at all times. A squad with that trust and teamwork can do pretty much anything, and that is what we need. Ambient civilian vehicles are sometimes spawning on buildings (so they explode) when playing on some unofficial maps. It seems to happen because some ArmA I / ArmA II buildings are not recognized by the engine ? The armory may take some time to initialize ion MP (you may see a few weapons or objects flying at start-up). Just wait a few seconds, everything should automatically move on the walls (maybe a server sync problem ?). Ambient AI animations may sometimes be weired when playing on MP TO DO LIST (Extreme prioriy): fix all bugs reported by the community (High priority): add many new tasks (High prioriy): create version for many other maps (High priority): always reduce addon dependency as much as possible (Medium priority): add more details to briefings (Medium priority): add notes and tips (example: how to use tactical glasses...) (Medium priority): optimize and tweak all scripts and functions (or better: rewrite everything because so many time has passed since the first code I wrote !) Background The 20th Armoured Infantry Brigade was founded in November of 2015 by friends without sufficient time or hardware enough to fully commit to a proper MilSim unit- but still want to play professionally as a part of a team. Currently numbering 31, we are building up the unit step by step, further improving our experience and versatility as a unit. Mission Our current aim is to provide a professional unit that realistically recreates the role of British Armoured Infantry. In this role, the FV510 WARRIOR sees use within the section for the infantry to fight with and out of. We are also well versed in dismounted infantry tactics for varied operations, and for operations with other units where the use of Warrior wouldn't be necessary. Our overall goal is to provide a unit which uses realistic British SOP's as best as possible, whilst also having fun and banter. Who We're Looking For We are looking for people who are motivated to create a unique MilSim experience. Since we aim to recreate a realistic representation of the British Army, we'd love to find personnel with previous military experience, with experience using WARRIOR and Armoured Infantry, and those with leadership and management experience. As it is, we currently have a fair amount of members who are current or former service members of the British, US, Danish, and Croatian Armed Forces, including members who have served within the actual 20th AIB itself. If you would like to advise or help out, please give us a shout, and we will do our best to accomodate you! We're also looking for modders to help with the creation of realistic in-game variants of the FV510, FV103, FV107, and AS90. We are indeed willing to donate to those willing to help. If you'd like to join a MilSim unit, but do not have the time for regular attendance, consider checking us out. We offer a reserves programme which accommodates your availability once you've completed your training. Things to Note Regular trainings are on Wednesdays and Operations are on Saturdays, both at 1900 UK time, unless we are doing special events or joint operations. We are open to joint operations provided you use ACRE2 and allow joint training to be conducted beforehand. We do not have Sodexo Catering or friday afternoon weapons cleaning, and when you finish your CIC we give you a virtual daysack (which also works at night). We are a Military Simulation unit. We do our best to implement tactics and SOP's that are in use within the British Army. As such, we have a strenuous training programme and qualifications to be earned, and we expect a certain level of maturity and discipline from our members. We do not, however, require members to address each other by rank or act a certain way outside of the game. The Legion The 41st was founded after multiple attempts to find a similar group in multiple genres of games, that wanted to have fun in a tactical manner while developing their skills both ingame and out. ============================================================================================ The mindset The group has simple, understandable concepts that will be put into practice: -The most important weapon is your mind, that is the focus of the group. -We want people that want to improve their skills and mindset, not just be able to "shoot stuff". -Knowledge gained can be put to use both in-game and real life. -We like a tough fight, expect one. -We like to have fun, that's why groups are made, to have fun in the game of their choosing. The Wrecking Crew The Wrecking Crew is a realism group that prides itself in its dedication to realistic and enjoyable game play, without the rigid aspects like permanent ranks and having to shout "Yes, sir" at a 14 year old. While we play mostly as British Forces to make coherent training possible, we have a whole host of players who come from all over the world, some as far out as Malaysia and South Africa. You select the role you'd like each week for our editor-driven operations, as long as you are competent and prove yourself by passing the required training sessions for that role, with some not requiring any. This allows you to vary from leading a platoon one week to driving a tank the next. The freedom to experience so many different types of game play without hindrance on the co-operation & enjoyability is something you will struggle to find in most other ArmA groups. Public Server If you would like to experience first hand what it's like to play with TWC, come join us on our public server. It runs different dynamic game modes made entirely in-house with a more relaxed game play than in our operations, but it will still give you a good insight in the community and play style. You don't need to sign up to participate on our public server, just the mods and to connect to our TeamSpeak server. We've created an easy to follow guide on how to get connected here. About our Operations Alongside a public server that runs 24/7, the biggest event our group hosts are weekly 'Operations' with between 20 to 40 people. As well as the occasional 'Joint Operation' with other groups which have encompassed up to 70 people total. Our operations span over a century of warfare, with a monthly rotation of World War 2, Cold War, Turn of the Millennium and Modern Operations. This means that in one month you can liberate a French town from Nazi occupation, halt a Soviet mechanised assault in the plains of Northern Germany, brawl with Iraqi armour in the deserts of Kuwait and patrol through the hills of Afghanistan, searching for insurgents. In these operations any recruit or member can play any role as long as he has received the corresponding training. In our operations we strive for maximum realism. We find real-life solutions for problems that we may face in game, while omitting more tedious parts of military duty like saluting, hour-long marches and range etiquette. We aim for the most immersive experience possible by having minimal HUD, first person only, a single life and using ACRE 2 for communications. Our operations take place on Saturday at 18:30 (UK time) and can last up to four hours or more. Interested in trying it out?   11. 171st Combat Brigade 9th Armoured Combat Detachment Who we are Built upon serving armoured veterans and current serving personnel, we are a platoon/troop level organisation dedicated to providing the 171st Combat Brigade with personnel who specialize in armoured warfare. Freddie Zeelie that died in combat operation in 1974. Island is set to year 1974 when South Africa's 1 Recce Commando Unit operated from FOBs in the North Namibia. The South African "Recces" were deployed to many local hot spots during the late 1970s and early 1980s, particularly Angola. Namibia-Angola border had no fence at that time, only visible cutout grass (line) about 1/4 down from the North tip of the map. There is only one FOB in central South region with an operational airstrip. Back in 1974 most of the land has been without any roads and permanent settlements, so we try to simulate that harsh environment in this map. But I've added some roads for AI to somehow cope with the harsh terrain. Map is dedicated to heroes of the war and used by South African SF soldiers that also enjoy Arma 3.   18. 2 PARA is a British Realism unit. We started off in ARMA 2 in 2014, but have now returned in ARMA 3, with many of our old members joining back to re-create the fun we had back then. Our aim is to provide a realistic, but fun experience to all of our members through our high quality missions every Saturday at 8pm GMT (Or BST during summer). We use a variety of mods, such as ACE, ACRE, and a collection of British Unit and vehicle mods to allow us to emulate the parachute regiment. Why join us? We play Arma in a tactical, realistic way, using teamwork to achieve our objectives. We have a simple phase one training, therefore this group is perfect for those that want a mature, tactical community, but maybe don’t have the time or the interest in hyper-realistic milsim groups as we don't try to match the real world procedures.   25. BACKGROUND: NotBotz are a small squad that specialise in Reconnaissance and Guerilla fighting techniques. We are currently 2 active members, but we are part of a larger gaming group known as NATO and WAPA Operations with 20+ active members in the US, UK and EU. NotBotz are primarily from a gaming background rather than having served in the military, so on a squad level we adopt a relaxed approach to military simulation gameplay. We have been playing ARMA3 for a number of years, and have recently moved from playing vanilla recon ops or escape missions to working with a milsim group using ACE3, along with a number of other mods. NATO and WAPA Operations is an organisation which runs co-op missions for multiple squads to take part in side by side.
