  1. Who We Are: 1st the Queen’s Dragoon Guards is a European ArmA 3 Milsim community which simulates a a Light Cavalry Troop and focuses on adversarial and cross community cooperative game-play. We play across a range of periods from with our main focus on the twilight years of the Cold War. As light cavalry we simulate a self-reliant and highly mobile force which makes use of light vehicles such as the Land Rover WMIK. We habitually functions as small independent teams in order to inform and guide friendly forces whilst also disrupting and confusing our enemies. We are also one of the leading members of the cross community organisation Nato Forces of ArmA 3 [NFA]. As part of which we host a persistent Hearts and Minds Scenario for cross community cooperative play and monthly adversarial operations which have attracted over 60 players and 5 participating communities. Our Schedule: Our sessions are ran on Thursdays and Sundays at 2000 UK time (GMT / GMT +1 season dependent). Typically our Thursdays focus on crew development and trade skills (such as observation posts or close target reconnaissance. Our Sunday events are dedicated to cooperative and adversarial operations, on occasion these are reallocated to Saturdays when doing major adversarial operations as part of NFA. Our Community: We are a tight-knit and well natured community of friends who play all kinds of other games besides ArmA 3. 'Swift & Bold' 160 Infantry Brigade is an ArmA 3 military simulation unit emulating one of the British Army's Adaptable Force Brigades; focusing on the authentic and immersive depiction of light role operations. The aim and ethos of the Brigade is to present the operational capacity of the infantry and the trials and tribulations undertaken by British servicemen with respect, attention to detail and an attitude befitting the discipline, determination and tenacity of HM Armed Forces on operations across the globe. Careers Subject to basic recruitment requirements listed below, 160 Infantry Brigade accepts all recruits applying through our website submission form for a 20-minute retention interview in our TeamSpeak server. This interview covers a wealth of topics from personal experience and eligibility to situational light infantry questions to test and develop an applicant's common sense in a military environment. Once through this interview, the applicant is accepted as a Recruit and assigned either to the Rifles Training Company within 1 ITB or 2 Army Training Regiment depending on desired role. Prospective infantrymen looking to join 1st Battalion, The Rifles as part of the Brigade's primary deployable combat force will then undertake a condensed version of the Combat Infantryman's Course which lasts between three and five hours over the course of one evening and teaches all basic skills required to operate as a Rifleman at section level. Prospective Signallers and Combat Medical Technicians participate in a more basic version at Phase 1; a two hour Common Military Syllabus (Recruits) course, before moving on to Phase 2 for either the Regular Radio Users cadre or Phase 2 RAMC. Experience is key within 160 Infantry Brigade. Although every step is taken to ensure an authentic experience representative of the modern Rifles Regiment, the unit deviates in key areas from British Army doctrine and it is the wealth of experienced gained as part of the unit as opposed to an individual's experience in milsim that defines our leaders. For those with enough time and dedication under their belts, potential junior non-commissioned officer courses are held when positions open to determine candidates for the next generation of section commanders. Successful JNCO candidates then undertake Phase 3 training as part of the section commander's battle course; with further options including the platoon serjeant's battle course available. Basic Recruitment Requirements: - 16+ years of age - Based in a European time zone - Excellent grasp of the English language - A working microphone and copy of ARMA 3 - Able to attend the majority of Friday operations - An interest in organised, realistic and teamwork-oriented military simulation - The will to learn and support the unit's development Other Information 160 Infantry Brigade is a small milsim unit, representing at largest a single infantry platoon of 1st Battalion, The Rifles. Our aim during operations is to focus in on light role infantry combat, eschewing supporting elements such as joint helicopter command or recce platoon in order to concentrate our efforts on producing the finest infantry milsim we can possibly achieve. Those looking to perform pilot, vehicle crew, sniper or special forces roles will not find this unit accommodating for their tastes. All Brigade operations take place once a week on Fridays at 1900Z.   3. We are a relaxed milsim unit with a PMC structure. We Currently have 4 platoons (1st, 2nd,HQ)but are expanding to a 4th platoon. 1st and 2nd platoon are structured as 3 squad standard riflemen platoons, HQ platoon has our medics aviation, FISTORs and a new mortar section. 3rd platoon which is currently in the organizing stages will be a heavy weapons platoon We take pride in a relaxed structure but keep in mind once we are engaged in a OP we fairly serious (most of the time.) We are always cracking jokes and having a good time. When ever we are not in an OP feel free to be single and ready to mingle with one in the TeamSpeak. We encourage playing with each other in other games as well. We have a Short training that last tops 2 hours which covers all your basic movement and weapons that we use. We Allow you to you any weapon and camouflage with 2 rules to keep in mind 1. Your weapon must accept a 5.56 Stanag Mag (unless you are the 240 gunner) 2.   4. IceBreakr presents: Southeast Angola 1974 Latest version: v1.1 (Aug 15, 2018) Terrain: 10240x10240 meters / HD Island has been created in honor of Recce 1 Commando Lt. Freddie Zeelie that died in combat operation in 1974. Island is set to year 1974 when South Africa's 1 Recce Commando Unit operated from FOBs in the North Namibia. The South African "Recces" were deployed to many local hot spots during the late 1970s and early 1980s, particularly Angola. Namibia-Angola border had no fence at that time, only visible cutout grass (line) about 1/4 down from the North tip of the map. There is only one FOB in central South region with an operational airstrip. Back in 1974 most of the land has been without any roads and permanent settlements, so we try to simulate that harsh environment in this map. But I've added some roads for AI to somehow cope with the harsh terrain. Map is dedicated to heroes of the war and used by South African SF soldiers that also enjoy Arma 3.   5. About us: [GHSE] - Gameaholic.se is a non-profit gaming community (earlier known as Hjerpeskans) founded in 2002. We host and administrate our own servers, arrange a 4-day long LAN-meeting every summer and have a booth at the Sci-Fi World convention every year. As a community we testing and playing alot of games, editing missions and making events together. We've become a bunch of really good friends over the past years, sometimes it feels like a big family or more like a band of brothers. With a member pool on around 1000, there were never a problem with creating a ArmA 3 unit, event or server. Today we are ~40 active members signed to permanent roles and Groups for our Coop-Nights and other special Joint-Op events. Our missions: On Friday nights every week, around 18:00 to 02:00, we run one of our ArmA 3 events, called "Co-op Night". As most of you know, Co-op stands for cooperative which means, players against AI (Artificial Intelligence), so if you're up for TvT/PvP, we aint what you looking for. During all Co-op Nights we play in permanent groups, with predetermined roles and dutys. Before mission starts, all participants shall have thier group, role, equipment and addons ready. This is almost the only demand we have, so please follow it. On our ArmA 3 server we've chosen to play MilSim due most of us have done military service and Sold-F is our Bibel. In other words, making the game as realistic as possible, mature gamers, playing missions together with high empathy. It's pretty simple, all who playing with us on our server need to follow this code. If not, dont even bother joining. In order to get the gameplay as realistic as possible, we use a few mods and addons on our server using ArmA3Sync. Some of'em just trusted, but most of'em are a requirement, read more about it in here! Same goes with Teamspeak 3 Client, due to all of our voice'n radio communication in-game is over ACRE2. We play as Swedish Armed Forces and our main language during missions are Swedish only. When the Coop-Night fades out, we leave the server up with the same mission for the rest of the week, so members can keep fighting and training together. When Friday night closing in, we take down the server, updating or changing mission. Around 18:00 server are back up'n running so all players and groups can get thier shit together before heading out (normaly 19:30 ish). We also do larger "Joint-Operations" now and then, together with SGU Swedish Gaming Unit. We try to have one of those once every month and normaly ends up in platoon size with 30-40 players in 7-8 Groups, using HQ, logistics, FOB etc. Sounds like your kind of dish? How to become a member? The Wrecking Crew The Wrecking Crew is a realism group that prides itself in its dedication to realistic and enjoyable game play, without the rigid aspects like permanent ranks and having to shout "Yes, sir" at a 14 year old. While we play mostly as British Forces to make coherent training possible, we have a whole host of players who come from all over the world, some as far out as Malaysia and South Africa. You select the role you'd like each week for our editor-driven operations, as long as you are competent and prove yourself by passing the required training sessions for that role, with some not requiring any. This allows you to vary from leading a platoon one week to driving a tank the next. The freedom to experience so many different types of game play without hindrance on the co-operation & enjoyability is something you will struggle to find in most other ArmA groups. Public Server If you would like to experience first hand what it's like to play with TWC, come join us on our public server. It runs different dynamic game modes made entirely in-house with a more relaxed game play than in our operations, but it will still give you a good insight in the community and play style. You don't need to sign up to participate on our public server, just the mods and to connect to our TeamSpeak server. We've created an easy to follow guide on how to get connected here. About our Operations Alongside a public server that runs 24/7, the biggest event our group hosts are weekly 'Operations' with between 20 to 40 people. As well as the occasional 'Joint Operation' with other groups which have encompassed up to 70 people total. Our operations span over a century of warfare, with a monthly rotation of World War 2, Cold War, Turn of the Millennium and Modern Operations. This means that in one month you can liberate a French town from Nazi occupation, halt a Soviet mechanised assault in the plains of Northern Germany, brawl with Iraqi armour in the deserts of Kuwait and patrol through the hills of Afghanistan, searching for insurgents. In these operations any recruit or member can play any role as long as he has received the corresponding training. In our operations we strive for maximum realism. We find real-life solutions for problems that we may face in game, while omitting more tedious parts of military duty like saluting, hour-long marches and range etiquette. We aim for the most immersive experience possible by having minimal HUD, first person only, a single life and using ACRE 2 for communications. Background The 20th Armoured Infantry Brigade was founded in November of 2015 by friends without sufficient time or hardware enough to fully commit to a proper MilSim unit- but still want to play professionally as a part of a team. Currently numbering 31, we are building up the unit step by step, further improving our experience and versatility as a unit. Mission Our current aim is to provide a professional unit that realistically recreates the role of British Armoured Infantry. In this role, the FV510 WARRIOR sees use within the section for the infantry to fight with and out of. We are also well versed in dismounted infantry tactics for varied operations, and for operations with other units where the use of Warrior wouldn't be necessary. Our overall goal is to provide a unit which uses realistic British SOP's as best as possible, whilst also having fun and banter. Who We're Looking For We are looking for people who are motivated to create a unique MilSim experience. Since we aim to recreate a realistic representation of the British Army, we'd love to find personnel with previous military experience, with experience using WARRIOR and Armoured Infantry, and those with leadership and management experience. As it is, we currently have a fair amount of members who are current or former service members of the British, US, Danish, and Croatian Armed Forces, including members who have served within the actual 20th AIB itself. If you would like to advise or help out, please give us a shout, and we will do our best to accomodate you! LCM-8 Landing Craft This landing craft offers you a real powerhouse on the water. The ramp can be lowered for the pleasant driveway of the vehicle or for entry of the infantry. The vehicle offers space for 16 soldiers and a driver on board. In addition, a vehicle can be added. 2. Floating Bridge These swimming bridges are powerful ways to continue on the path over water. Your pioneers will be pleased about this quality product. This makes it easy to put a pontoon bridge over a water hazard. So that they do not have to transport the bridges individually, we have supplied the good old MTRV from Arma2 as a transport vehicle. Thus you manage to transport five of these floating bridges in one go. 3. Faltschwimmbrücke (FSB) German Army In a very early stage of our development department are the so-called floating folding bridges. These offer you the full potential of a floating bridge. Since the topic of occupational safety is very important to us, there are hinged handrails. Thus, their vehicles and infantrymen can not take an involuntary dip in the water. 4. The Revenant Group is looking for players who want to be part of a specialised unit focused on countering a variety of asymmetrical and unconventional threats in a wide theatre of combat environments. We try to make things as realistic as the game will allow and we welcome players that are new to the game or just new to mil-sim/tactical sim. We will teach you as much as you are willing to learn. Operations are broken into two phases, the ISR Phase and the Execution Phase. The ISR Phase begins two to three days before the Execution Phase. During this phase players can recon the objective and gather intelligence. This information is then used to create the OPORD for the Execution Phase of the operation. Once the ISR Phase concludes, the Execution Phase begins. Operations and training are held three to five times throughout the week, typically starting at 2000 GMT, with a focus on tactical realism.   13. What is the 1st Ranger Battalion? The 1st Ranger Battalion is a growing Arma 3 Milsim group that is based in the EST Timezone. We are apart of a larger JSOC community that has Spec-Ops and Air branches. The 1st Ranger Battalion focuses on providing adequate infantry support to these branches, and its role in our operations reflect that. What are the 1st's Operations Like? Our operations take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The 1st generally supports the other branches of our JSOC community in these operations by providing infantry support. For example, the 1st might be tasked with raiding an enemy compound while air provides cover. Why should I join the 1st? The 1st offers a unique and realistic experience due to its JSOC membership. Our community has dedicated Arma and Teamspeak servers, with a Public Arma server in the works. Besides these reasons, the 1st offers an enjoyable and realistic operational experience, and the chance for you to be apart of a growing community. What is expected of me if I join?   16. 1RRF (1st Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers) is an ARMA 3 military simulation unit, founded in 2016 & returning from a short break over the summer of 2018. With past lessons learned and a new outlook on what makes a great community, the core members of the unit are looking to expand and invite you to become part of one of ARMA 3’s most authentic and detailed light role/armoured units. The small group of us remaining in the unit are a mix of former Fusiliers, former Army personnel and those with research-based or no real life experience - meaning we accept those from all walks of life. However, the unit is rigorous in its approach to recruitment as we seek to cultivate the right group of people in order to get the most out of the game we play and achieve the unit’s goals of innate realism and full authenticity. Specifically, we seek to recruit those with a natural interest in the modern British Army, and who are thus looking for the closest experience possible, there are no Hollywood firefights in RRF, only realistic engagements and authentic operations. Recruits can expect to be trained fully by proper ITC staff through Phase 1 training, then after some experience in a rifle company they may branch out to a variety of supporting roles; everything from WARRIOR drivers and gunners to mortar operators and section commanders. There is something for everyone in RRF, or at least something for someone willing to put in the legwork to get where they need to be. Above all, RRF is a stubborn and ever-present thorn in the side of the British milsim community.   22. Hi there, The 1st Brigade, Australian Army MILSIM Unit was started after us seeing a real opening in the Oceanic region. We strive to be as realistic as possible, emulating the real world unit to the best of our ability. This is not for everyone, but if have a love for immersion and simulation, think you may be interested in joining the ADF in the future, or are ex/current serving we are definitely the unit for you. We follow the real world organisational structure, rank structure and procedures to the best of our ability, but also note that if we are doing something wrong we will change it if made aware. Outside of operations, we work on a consensus based governance structure allowing for input from the community in how the unit will be run.
