  1. IceBreakr presents: Southeast Angola 1974 Terrain: 10240x10240 meters / HD Island has been created in honor of Recce 1 Commando Lt. Freddie Zeelie that died in combat operation in 1974. Set in year 1974 when South Africa's 1 Recce Commando Unit operated from FOBs in the South and fought with a group of terrorists who attempted to cross the South African border in rural Southeast Angola. Border had no fence at that time, only visible cutout grass (line) about 1/4 down from the North tip of the map. There is only one FOB in central South region with an operational airstrip. Back in 1974 most of the land has been without any roads and permanent settlements, so we try to simulate that harsh environment in this map. But I've added some roads for AI to somehow cope with the harsh terrain. Map is dedicated to heroes of the war and used by South African SF soldiers that also enjoy Arma 3. DESCRIPTION OPEX: Opérations Extérieures (External Operations) is an immersive fully dynamical task generator introducing the French Army fighting against terrorist organizations all over the world ! AUTHOR'S NOTE Bonjour ! I have to be honest, OPEX has totally be inspired by MSO (Multi-Session Operations) from ArmA II (and all successors from ArmA III: Patrol Operations 3, ALiVE... which are inspired from code34's Warcontext mission), so all credits must go to their development teams. After I tried it, I thought the idea of a fully dynamical task generator was brilliant, but there was some features that was not perfectly fitting to what I was expecting and some others that was missing. Firstly, I tried to customize original MSO but I finally choose to rebuild everything from the scratch. It's certainly not as good as MSO/PO/ALiVE but after more than 5 years of development (yeah, really !), and even if there are still many things to do (correct all bugs, create version for other maps, add new tasks, optimize all scripts...) I must say I'm pretty satisfied of what I did so far. It was initially a personnal project, but I thought maybe someone else could now be interested too so I'm proud to present today the first public relase ! I hope some of you will enjoy... MAIN FEATURES SP & MP compatible Option menu at startup to customize the mission by enabling/disabling/modifying included features Mission entirely built with random parameters for unlimited replayability Let the engine select a random task or select it by yourself among various ones (patrol, defend, attack, rescue...) KNOWN BUGS/ISSUES (any help is welcome !) Picture pictures\overview.paa not found at startup when joining server despite the picture is present in the mission folder, I don't know how to fix this. Ambient civilian vehicles are sometimes spawning on buildings (so they explode) when playing on some unofficial maps. It seems to happen because some ArmA I / ArmA II buildings are not recognized by the engine ? The armory may take some time to initialize ion MP (you may see a few weapons or objects flying at start-up). Just wait a few seconds, everything should automatically move on the walls (maybe a server sync problem ?). Ambient AI animations may sometimes be weired when playing on MP TO DO LIST (Extreme prioriy): fix all bugs reported by the community (High priority): add many new tasks (High prioriy): create version for many other maps (High priority): always reduce addon dependency as much as possible (Medium priority): add more details to briefings (Medium priority): add notes and tips (example: how to use tactical glasses...) (Medium priority): optimize and tweak all scripts and functions (or better: rewrite everything because so many time has passed since the first code I wrote !)   3. Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Who are we: The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards is a realism unit portraying the SCOTS DG of Her Majesties Royal Army, in 2000. We are a small scale unit (20 active) typically operating at Platoon level but as we expand we plan to begin company level operations. Our main focus is on accurately portraying motorized/mechanized infantry and Armored units in Arma 3, from the weapons and specials to the tactics and commands given. Training in the unit is based on the manuals of the time so you can rest assured your experience will be as close to what the real soldiers of the time went though. Then was being invaded by the insurgents, implating a socialist dictatorship on it! Insurgents have put a severe crackdown on the region's residents, causing "disappearances" and torture to eradicate the faith by the UNSC that they will return. The dictators attempted to invade the airport, but were unsuccessful. Some informants have notified that they will have a new operation to take complete control of the island! Your mission is to take ownership back from the city departing from the airport. And take care! Anything can happen. The Wrecking Crew The Wrecking Crew is a realism group that prides itself in its dedication to realistic and enjoyable game play, without the rigid aspects like permanent ranks and having to shout "Yes, sir" at a 14 year old. While we play mostly as British Forces to make coherent training possible, we have a whole host of players who come from all over the world, some as far out as Malaysia and South Africa. You select the role you'd like each week for our editor-driven operations, as long as you are competent and prove yourself by passing the required training sessions for that role, with some not requiring any. This allows you to vary from leading a platoon one week to driving a tank the next. The freedom to experience so many different types of game play without hindrance on the co-operation & enjoyability is something you will struggle to find in most other ArmA groups. Public Server If you would like to experience first hand what it's like to play with TWC, come join us on our public server. It runs different dynamic game modes made entirely in-house with a more relaxed game play than in our operations, but it will still give you a good insight in the community and play style. About our Operations Alongside a public server that runs 24/7, the biggest event our group hosts are weekly 'Operations' with between 20 to 40 people. As well as the occasional 'Joint Operation' with other groups which have encompassed up to 70 people total. Our operations span over a century of warfare, with a monthly rotation of World War 2, Cold War, Turn of the Millennium and Modern Operations. This means that in one month you can liberate a French town from Nazi occupation, halt a Soviet mechanised assault in the plains of Northern Germany, brawl with Iraqi armour in the deserts of Kuwait and patrol through the hills of Afghanistan, searching for insurgents. In these operations any recruit or member can play any role as long as he has received the corresponding training. In our operations we strive for maximum realism. We find real-life solutions for problems that we may face in game, while omitting more tedious parts of military duty like saluting, hour-long marches and range etiquette. We aim for the most immersive experience possible by having minimal HUD, first person only, a single life and using ACRE 2 for communications.   7. BACKGROUND: NotBotz are a small squad that specialise in Reconnaissance and Guerilla fighting techniques. We are currently 2 active members, but we are part of a larger gaming group known as NATO and WAPA Operations with 20+ active members in the US, UK and EU. NotBotz are primarily from a gaming background rather than having served in the military, so on a squad level we adopt a relaxed approach to military simulation gameplay. We have been playing ARMA3 for a number of years, and have recently moved from playing vanilla recon ops or escape missions to working with a milsim group using ACE3, along with a number of other mods. NATO and WAPA Operations is an organisation which runs co-op missions for multiple squads to take part in side by side. Squads are from all backgrounds and specialisations, though a willingness to cooperate and work with the mission commander is key.   9. 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines "Teufelhunden" The 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines (3/6 Marines) is a Military Simulation unit in Arma 3 based on the real 3/6 United States Marines, with our own modlist and server as well as a Discord and Teamspeak. We strive to maintain a friendly but functioning community with elements of both light and heavy roleplay elements in all of our operations. As well as having a heavy American playerbase, we are proud to say we also have international players who also enjoy playing with us in squads within the greater 3/6 unit. From pilots, to Navy corpsmen, tanks and Recon units, almost every role within our community is run and operated by players during our campaigns. We run ops multiple large operations within a week as well as smaller and one off missions. Every person who comes through is trained how to use our mods, from ACE to Map tools as well as the advanced ballistics and special weapons and equipment they might be carrying. While in missions, we stress the use of individual to individual communication, and unit to unit communication through a proper chain of command as well. Being a community of many countries, we try our hardest to respect the beliefs and creeds of others, though at the same time, it's expected that if you come to our unit you are aware that when we are out of operations, we can also joke around. We would like to also stress that we interview everyone who comes through to understand what they would like to do, their past experience in units, evaluate their character and get to know you.   10. 142nd Airborne Division "First to Kill, Last to Die" What is the 142nd Airborne Division? The 142nd Airborne Division is a newer Arma 3 Milsim unit centered around having fun and intense operations. Started in early May, the 142nd AD is a newer Arma milsim focused on the United States Army's Airborne Divisions, a group of elite soldiers utilizing tactics from H.A.L.O jumping to night parachute drops to insert behind enemy lines. Our purpose at the 142nd is to keep things serious but still enjoyable. We don't want "yes sir" and "no sir", no biting your head off over calling a NCO "sir", and no cancelling op's to substitute in "training days". We are the 51st Infantry Brigade, established in early 2016 we have created a community emulating the 51st and using Her Majesty’s Armed Forces tactics, ranks and doctrine. As a whole our community consists of like-minded lads who wish to play Arma 3 together in a structured, professional yet fun environment. Our in-house training program has a realistic yet applicable training regime called the Combat Infantryman's Course and teaches recruits all they need to know to operate within a training, live-fire exercise or a deployment around the globe. When do we play? Our official events are hosted on Saturday's at 19:30 GMT, those who wish to attend must have completed at least phase one training. Throughout the remainder of the week we offer unofficial events which individuals can partake in regardless of their Phase 1 training status, these range from section based training's to playing in-house missions created by our G3 staff office. Although we are an Arma 3 military simulations unit, we host other events within games such as Squad or Digital Combat Simulator along with the many other simulation based games. Available Roles Fundamentally, each and every member who goes through our phase training program is trained as an Infanteer although everyone will receive specific specialist role training.   17. Who are we? The 10th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) is an semi-realistic, international gaming community focussing mostly on ArmA 3 ALiVE structured missions. We have 3 main regiments; the 1st Battalion 10th Marines, 10th Marine Air Wing and 2/14th Combined Arms Regiment. Each regiment has unique training and courses that are required to progress within the community Additionally, there are multiple optional courses that help to develop skills, and open new pathways within the community. For example, we offer courses such as Corpsman, Weapons Team, Artillery, and Combat Diver Schools. What do we do? The 10th MEU run deployments using the ALiVE mod, this means that the server is constantly active and every action taken has an effect on the mission. We also run full battalion missions on Saturdays at 12:00 pm UTC (with more planned in the future), these missions are all preplanned and come with detailed mission briefings so that everyone is aware of what to expect. During these missions, we aim to take key objectives and to have a larger impact on the ongoing mission. We use a variety of different mods such as; ALiVE,CUP, RHS, ACE3, TFAR and also some custom made mods that have been created for exclusive use in our community. Additionally, we use a custom base building script that allows members to create new FOB’s and outposts to secure areas throughout the deployment. Each deployment will last roughly 4-6 weeks, sometimes longer depending on how long it takes to achieve key objectives. Every deployment will have an accompanying deployment brief that will explain the backstory, objectives, available assets and much more. Every member will be placed into an fireteam or vehicle crew (depending on regiment) and each regiment sticks to a fixed role roster during main events. This is to encourage teamwork and consistency, however members may play any roles they are qualified to during non-planned events (such as midweek patrols). To simulate as best of a real-world scenario as we can, we have a large range of highly-trained selected squad-leaders, trainers and officers that will help you with your journey through community ranks and departments. To help with realism and progression of the story, members are encouraged to fill out a small patrol report after every mission (this is usually done by the senior member of the patrol/unit). While this may seems excessive, we believe that it adds to the mission as a whole and gives missions a purpose. As the 10th MEU is a gaming community we also do play other games such as; Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Hellion, Conan Exiles, GTA V, etc. Our members often play these games together, strengthening the sense of community and friendship, there is always something to do and no one is left out. What do we offer? Our community is still in the early stages but growing steadily, we have a handful of members already (around 20) and are looking to grow steadily over the next few weeks. Candidates will go through a series of courses to make sure that they are ready to take on the challenges the 1st Marine Raider Battalion will come across in combat. These courses will range from battle drills to learning and familiarization with various U.S. and foreign weapon systems. Marine Special Operations Company BRAVO - A Marine Special Operations Team cannot deploy or operate without the support of the Marine Special Operations Company. The Marine Special Operations Company acts as the command and control of the MSOT's within the company. The Marine Special Operations Company establishes and operates the Advanced Operational Base (AOB). Marine Special Operations Team 8121 - A forward deployed element which conducts direct action, reconnaissance, infiltration and various other SOF related mission types, they are an independent operating force which follows the real world MSOT structure. 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Detachment) - Highly trained aviators in-which provide support for the marine special operations ground elements, which may include close air support, insertion/extraction under enemy fire, air reconnaissance and various other tasks. ts.1stmrb.us 1stmrb.us
  23. Task Force Goon's Air America (A*A) is the Air Wing that supports ground operations of our Special Forces unit ODA-951. Our primary mission is to support and ensure the safety of the ground elements during insertions/extractions and to provide CAS to be a force multiplier when needed to make sure the mission is a success. Task force goon was founded/run by active military/veterans from all branches. We are a milsim group and we conduct ourselves as true to life as we can during training and operations with regards to planning, tactics, and execution. A*A fly mostly rotary aircraft, but are looking to add in a bit of fixed wing to vary the "options" for ground support. Duties include Insertions, Extractions, CAS, ISR.   24. Just Another Gaming Community About Us We are a community that started as a Dutch Arma group but are looking to expand with players from all over Europe. Our gameplay is casual milsim with a focus on a fun and exciting co-op experience with the use of everyone's favorite weapons and vehicles. We currently have a focus on infantry missions, but are looking to expand to the use of heavy vehicles and air support. The main event is every friday evening at 20:30 CEST, a Zeus builds and guides the mission. We play a campaign per month, meaning for 1 month we play on the same map with the same faction.   25. 2nd Ranger Regiment - new milsim unit looking for committed members About the unit: The 2nd Ranger Regiment is made with the intent to scratch your itch for military simulation in ArmA 3. We want this to be an immersive experience for players who want to both perform and learn. The unit is created with ArmA 3 in mind, meaning we will alter our doctrine to make it more effective in ArmA rather than what would be used in a real situation however for as many things as the game will allow we intend on keeping it authentic. Our final goal is to have an entire infantry company, complete with support elements such as; armoured, rotary and recon. What we can offer you: Our philosophy is with great training comes great players who in turn is given the abilities to overcome tremendous tasks and with every role receiving training and testing before being able to assume just about any position in a mission we believe that our final product will be able to swing with the toughest there is. We also realise that only some people is looking to become a group leader which is why it would be up to you if you want to go to sergeant school or if you want to continue up the enlisted ladder. We don’t run a hard age restriction but the demands both for attendance and maturity will be the same whether you are 16 or 36. Important note: Due to the unit being so fresh that we are still working on the final stages meaning it will be another little while before campaigns can be launched and obviously we need at few players before it will make sense to start the specialized training or to even start running missions.
