This add-on depicts generic North-Caucasian rebel forces in different types of clothing and equipment and Russian special and regular forces (Army, VDV, MVD and OMON) based on the mods done by the Red Hammer Studios. The aim is to have an enemy faction for RHS AFRF which only requires the RHS mods. The rebel units are equipped with older soviet-style weapons, use 6SH92, Vydra 3M and Serbian MD-99 vest and wear a variety of different uniforms and headgear. Please note that the gear and equipment of the units isn’t a 100% according to their real-life counterparts, but since I can’t model, it’s the closest I could get. The Russian forces come in many different camo variants and carry the appropriate gear for a 2000 till 2012 timeframe. It’s recommended to use this add-on with ASCZ Heads or other beard add-ons. DESCRIPTION OPEX is an immersive, realist and fully dynamic task generator for ArmA III military simulator. The first version was initially introducing the French Army fighting against terrorist organizations all over the world (hence the French name Opérations Extérieures - means External Operations). This new version now allows players to chose among several armies, depending on enabled extra mods ! AUTHOR'S NOTE Bonjour ! I have to be honest, OPEX has totally be inspired by MSO from ArmA II. After I have tried it, I thought the idea of a dynamic task generator was brilliant, but some features were not perfectly fitting to what I was expecting for and some others were missing. So firstly, I tried to customize the original MSO but finally I chose to rebuild everything from scratch. After more than 8 years of development (yeah, really !), and even if there are still many things to do, it's now time for sharing all I have did so far ! KNOWN BUGS/ISSUES Picture "pictures\overview.paa" not found at startup when joining server despite the picture is present in the mission folder, I don't know how to fix this. Some vehicles are sometimes exploding when spawning because collision detection is not reliable at 100% despite I'm trying to improve BI's commands as much as possible. Ambient AI animations may sometimes be weired when playing on MP. This is the Stand-Alone Module of my Explosives & EOD Addon from my SpookWarCom Project. As most EOD stuff is just a BIP (Blow In Place); I wanted to do something a little closer to the fictional side, and have a system where you have to know what you are doing and solve a step-by-step procedure to disarm the explosive. I will be including my IMS "BombBuddy" Ion-Mobility-Spectrometer to detect both in-game mines & explosives, and all the IEDs included in this amazing mod. I do not like the "I see a mine!" in the game. So what? If you see it, where? When you have all the nonsensical "helpers" turned off, he still shouts out he spots something. This is silly. So I'm building my own detector that will 'sniff' the molecules in the air to detect various chemicals and the additives in explosive materials. It will only display a readout of various indicators and a vague 'strength' signal (parts-per-million). I also have in production several, ok numerous, oh wait... no, over 100+ IEDs coming to put into your missions that all will have unique ways of disarming! I have 10 prototyes each with 10+ levels of disarming procedures with numerous types having a complex muti-step process to disarm. Total of 100-200 Bombs! Memorizing how to disarm will be virtually impossible do to with the sheer vast number of randomly generated IEDs. If you do not go through the training process and do not understand what you are doing, kaboom! No more just clicking the X to disarm. You will need the right tools, and click exactly on the part required. Several types will even have anti-handling devices. Motion sensors, light sensors, etc. complete with random timers and other surprises that I won't reveal here.
