  2. INTRODUCTION The 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) Realism Unit was founded in late 2019 by veteran members of the ArmA realism community. Many of our members are veterans and active duty military from around the world. The primary focus of the unit is unconventional warfare combat in ArmA 3 utilizing real life tactics, techniques, protocols, and communication. The core of the unit is based around light infantry platoon task forces with a small amount of supporting assets. At its core, a realism unit is a role-playing unit. We strive to promote an immersive and professional environment for members to role-play in by providing a unique and structured military experience. When in-game, members are expected to act as if they are on a foreign battlefield or in a domestic training environment. For these reasons, the minimum age to join the 3rd SFG(A) Realism Unit is 16 years old. The goal of the unit is to always balance the realism with fun. If members are not enjoying the experience, then there is no point in the unit existing. When there comes a point at which a decision between the two has to be made, we always have to remember that this is a game and we are here for entertainment, and we may from time to time on the side of fun.   5. From the leaders of 10SOC/10SFG and the 75th Rangers. Lead by real military veterans! The North American Mil-Sim Community is officially opening recruiting to fill our growing Arma 3 Community. NAMC(North American Mil-Sim Community) is a community for Mil-Sim operations style game play. Our current Area of Operation (AO) is Arma III operations, with plans to expand and reach out to other AO's after we establish a strategic presence in our current AO. Unlike other Mil-Sim experiences, we are not a "unit". We are a Mil-Sim Community. That means, mandatory training, mandatory meetings, attendance requirements etc are not part of the NAMC. What you will find, is tactical game play and Mil-Sim Role-playing, while in game. Founded in September of 2019, NAMC sets off to create an "operation first" Mil-sim gaming experience. Meaning, all of our training, tactics, communication, organization and structure is designed to accomplish the operation first. Currently, the NAMC is lead by Benality (former XO of 10SOC) and Jones.O. They bring real military experience to the community, which helps with creating events that are as true to real life scenarios as possible. FAQ Q: Is this the right place for me? If you enjoy real Mil-Sim role-playing while in game without all the extra "work" that comes with a Mil-Sim unit, you are in the right place. NAMC does not have mandatory attendance to any event or any training. We organize and people elect to join based on their schedule. The only hard rule, is that while in game, you operate as though you are a member of a modern Military squad.(edited) Q: So, no mandatory training, but what if I am new to Mi-lSim style game play? Although, we will not have any required training, we will have training events available. They will be scheduled in advance and allow plenty of opportunity to attend of you wish. Some training will include: Machine Gunner, Medical, Pilot , Squad Leader Course Q: What about ranks? How do you decide who the Squad leader is on any given mission? We don't feel this should be something that an organization can really control. Obviously, we want squad leaders that know how to play well and know how to lead while in game. We will organize the squads, and the squads will determine who is the squad leader. Obviously, if you have special training such as the Squad Leader course, you should have a higher consideration. We reserve the right to remove a squad leader if there is obvious reasons to do so. We will not remove someone simply because they hurt your feelings, unless it was out of line, or breaks any of our standing rules. Q: What about attendance? I can probably only play once in a while. We are specifically created for the busy gamer. Attendance is NOT required. Obviously, in order for you and everyone else to have a positive experience, we ask that you make as many events as possible. 1 event a week is considered normal activity. 2-3 events is considered highly active. We value all levels of activity as this creates a more immersive game play. Bottom line, play when you can, for as long as you can. Just remember our goal is to provide immersive Mil-Sim style game play.

Pigeon's Military Company is looking for new members to join our community Pigeon's Military Company is a currently small community of players who play Arma 3, mostly ZEUS operations, though without the MILSIM ranks excetera. We are looking for players who don't mind playing with a 100% serious frame of mind. We like to have fun and be silly most of the time, though during actual operations things lean more towards the serious side of things. As mentioned above we don't have a ranking system in the typical sense. The only ranks you'll be seeing is members authorised to act as squad leaders, ground command (once we grow bigger) and to basically admin the community as a moderator / admin. The only requirements to join is to speak English, understand how to use ACE and Task Force Radio (if you don't know, we can teach you) and be able to attend missions (you are not required to attend EVERY mission, though if you don't show up for weeks without a word we'll try to contact you before removing you). What mods do we use? Right now we have a small mod list, only consisting of 8 to 10 mods. We believe that people should be able to hop on and play Arma without having to wait to download 50gb - 100gb worth of mods. We try our best to use vanilla units for now, though in the future we may implement more mods as ideas begin to run dry and the community grows larger. Our squad system Pigeon's Military Company is essentially a private military company, run by Pigeon (hence the name). We have a squad system that promotes cooperation between members from the same country. Right now we have a high presence of members from the UK and Finland, and so we have two squads currently set up for those members. As members from countries join and get a significant number of members from said country, we consider forming a squad based around that nation. e.g. a french speaking squad could be formed if enough members speak french and desire their own seperate squad to speak their language, this squad would be called Légion Française with their squad leader being able to speak both English and French in order to communicate with high command and other squad leaders during missions. The Wrecking Crew The Wrecking Crew is a realism group that prides itself in its dedication to realistic and enjoyable game play, without the rigid aspects like permanent ranks and having to shout "Yes, sir" at a 14 year old. While we play mostly as British Forces to make coherent training possible, we have a whole host of players who come from all over the world, some as far out as Malaysia and South Africa. You select the role you'd like each week for our editor-driven operations, as long as you are competent and prove yourself by passing the required training sessions for that role, with some not requiring any. About our Operations Alongside a public server that runs 24/7, the biggest event our group hosts are weekly 'Operations' with between 20 to 40 people. Our operations span over a century of warfare, with a monthly rotation of World War 2, Cold War, Turn of the Millennium and Modern Operations. This means that in one month you can liberate a French town from Nazi occupation, halt a Soviet mechanised assault in the plains of Northern Germany, brawl with Iraqi armour in the deserts of Kuwait and patrol through the hills of Afghanistan, searching for insurgents. In these operations any recruit or member can play any role as long as he has received the corresponding training. In our operations we strive for maximum realism. We find real-life solutions for problems that we may face in game, while omitting more tedious parts of military duty like saluting, hour-long marches and range etiquette. We aim for the most immersive experience possible by having minimal HUD, first person only, a single life and using ACRE 2 for communications.   13. Greetings! The 122nd ODST Division is a new unit, looking for people who are active and are 17+ or older. The era the unit will be taking part in is the war with the Covenant (along with fighting insurrectionists as well) and the possibilities can range from dropping behind enemy lines, to supporting militias on occupied worlds or can range to planetary defense or invasion of an occupied world. we are also interested in playing with other units. Information The unit is a community between milsim and casual play, in-game during unit events, members are expected to play with a sense of realism from loading in and grabbing gear to the ending with a debrief. Campaigns will be 4 missions long (1 mission per week), Major Campaigns will be 6-8 missions long (1 1/2-2 months long) operations will be on Sundays at 6pm EST (5pm CST) and training will take place on Friday at 6pm EST (5pm CST). Campaigns will have different endings depending on the outcome of the previous missions before the final one, and can depict of moving the unit to another planet or retreating and changing the outcome of its position in the UNSC's fight against the covenant. So if you want to be a unit pilot I’d prefer you practice, and learn to hurry up and wait. Because having planes blaze down an entire village before the troops get there is kinda a immersion killer. Can I fly Transport? -only if you can land Why do you only have slots for certain roles? -let’s put it this way, if your playing on a football team your likely not running the football if your a lineman and probably not catching the football if your the quarterback. Every position has a role and specific task and if one person is not sticking to their role the whole team fails. So in the 32nd ID we build our squads in a way where just about all tasks can be completed with the least amount of players. A Squad typically consists of about 9-12 players —ALPHA TEAM— Team leader Rifleman. In October we will be running a fundraising challenge with other milsim units to raise funds for a charity called https://stackup.org . StackUp.Org is a US based charity that has several programs: 1. Send games and gaming equipment to deployed troops of NATO countries for use in their downtime. 2. They take deserving veterans on once in a lifetime trips to conferences such as E3, ComiCon and others. 3. They have volunteer support groups, primarily in the US, which serve as focal points for support and volunteer work. 4. They have a 24/7/365 crisis counselling service they offer via their discord which is available to anyone that is an adult. Essentially, they believe that gaming can have a positive impact on mental health. Their motto is Veterans are our Mission. Gaming is our Passion. We at the 7th Cavalry are a unit that has been in existence since 2002. We have over 300 active members. The fundraising challenge is a way for us to extend awareness of StackUp.Org to the community, to raise more funds overall for the charity and to motivate our members to raise more money. The idea is that each unit would pledge a minimum of $1,000 USD to the challenge, or $20 per active members, whichever is more. So our team goal would be roughly $6,000 USD. My personal goal is to find enough units to pledge a total of $50,000 USD to the campaign. We will collect pledges from our members starting 11 SEP 18 and ending 11 OCT 18. From 11 OCT 18 until 11 NOV 18 teams and team members will make their donations using the Tiltify site which tracks donations and teams and forwards the donations to the charity.   22. Hi, 99th Death Division is a group of people from NA and parts of Europe that get together every week for an immersive zeus event that includes realism and fun. We are looking for people (preferably 18 or older) that are interested in experiencing immersive, realistic community events and have fun doing it. We have a rank structure, however we do not do hyper-realism events such as marches or range etiquette. There is a training requirement for joining but it is just to test if you have a basic understanding of the game and are the kind of person we are looking for. While we prefer 18 or older, we will not turn you away if you are below that age, but you will have to prove your maturity and ability to listen.   23. Who are we? The 10th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) is an semi-realistic, international gaming community focussing mostly on ArmA 3 ALiVE structured missions. We have 3 main regiments; the 1st Battalion 10th Marines, 10th Marine Air Wing and 2/14th Combined Arms Regiment. Each regiment has unique training and courses that are required to progress within the community Additionally, there are multiple optional courses that help to develop skills, and open new pathways within the community. For example, we offer courses such as Corpsman, Weapons Team, Artillery, and Combat Diver Schools. What do we do? The 10th MEU run deployments using the ALiVE mod, this means that the server is constantly active and every action taken has an effect on the mission. We also run full battalion missions on Saturdays at 12:00 pm UTC (with more planned in the future), these missions are all preplanned and come with detailed mission briefings so that everyone is aware of what to expect. During these missions, we aim to take key objectives and to have a larger impact on the ongoing mission. We use a variety of different mods such as; ALiVE,CUP, RHS, ACE3, TFAR and also some custom made mods that have been created for exclusive use in our community. Additionally, we use a custom base building script that allows members to create new FOB’s and outposts to secure areas throughout the deployment. Each deployment will last roughly 4-6 weeks, sometimes longer depending on how long it takes to achieve key objectives. Every deployment will have an accompanying deployment brief that will explain the backstory, objectives, available assets and much more. Every member will be placed into an fireteam or vehicle crew (depending on regiment) and each regiment sticks to a fixed role roster during main events. This is to encourage teamwork and consistency, however members may play any roles they are qualified to during non-planned events (such as midweek patrols). To simulate as best of a real-world scenario as we can, we have a large range of highly-trained selected squad-leaders, trainers and officers that will help you with your journey through community ranks and departments. To help with realism and progression of the story, members are encouraged to fill out a small patrol report after every mission (this is usually done by the senior member of the patrol/unit). While this may seems excessive, we believe that it adds to the mission as a whole and gives missions a purpose. As the 10th MEU is a gaming community we also do play other games such as; Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Hellion, Conan Exiles, GTA V, etc. Our members often play these games together, strengthening the sense of community and friendship, there is always something to do and no one is left out. What do we offer? Our community is still in the early stages but growing steadily, we have a handful of members already (around 20) and are looking to grow steadily over the next few weeks. We are looking for all types of members, everything from people that just want to play to those that want to take a bigger role within the community. We are looking for members that want to help develop and grow our community, help build trainings and populate missions. Additionally, we are looking for members that are interested in taking an active leadership role within the community, currently these roles will be limited but more will be available in the future as we expand. We employ a Warrant Officer system for members that want to still progress within the rank structure, but don’t want to become a Squad Leader etc. The Warrant Officers are our community’s trainers and specialists, they help educate every member and guide them to the next step on the community ladder. Currently. there are many communities available to join and it is hard to stand out against the flood of units. We are hoping to differentiate ourselves by offering a unique style of missions and gameplay, one that revolves around persistence and story, while also offering a strong and stable community to be a part of. They will discuss what we do and what you can expect from us, as well as answer any questions you may have. Joining Requirements. The 10th MEU has a comprehensive rule set to ensure that all members of the community are kept satisfied and are not bullied or mistreated. The few requirements to join are: All applicants must be of the age of 17 or older. All applicants must own a valid and legal copy of ArmA 3. No ArmA downloadable content is needed to join the 10th MEU. All applicants must have a ping of lower than 300ms to the server and Teamspeak (servers are based in the USA). All applicants must have a working and clear microphone. All applicants must have the TeamSpeak 3 program. All applicants must have read the rules prior to submitting an enlistment form. All applicants must have roughly 25Gb of hard disk capacity in order to download the modset. All applicants should take part in as many operations as possible with a minimum of 1 per month. All applicants must be able to speak and understand English It is also recommended that all candidates have some level of experience with ArmA 3, and the mods we use, however we do accept candidates that are new to ArmA and have documentation that will help get you introduced and familiar with the game. We would like to help you learn the game and how milsim works. The problem with most MilSim units is that they require a huge commitment. That doesn't work for players who have jobs, families, and social lives to attend to. 801BTFO's mission is to give an option to soldiers looking for realism but also freedom. We would love for you to be a part of the unit but we won't hold you to strict commitments. We do ask that you fill out an application but no interview process is required. A relaxed training session will be used to prepare you for your time in the 801st unit. We hope that you feel welcome and accepted into our community. We are a MilSim unit. We will strive for realism but we will not do so at the cost of your life outside of the milsim unit. Your training will go more in-depth but realistic communication and strategy are required during missions. Outside of missions, just have fun together.
