The Wrecking Crew The Wrecking Crew is a realism group that prides itself in its dedication to realistic and enjoyable game play, without the rigid aspects like permanent ranks and having to shout "Yes, sir" at a 14 year old. While we play mostly as British Forces to make coherent training possible, we have a whole host of players who come from all over the world, some as far out as Malaysia and South Africa. You select the role you'd like each week for our editor-driven operations, as long as you are competent and prove yourself by passing the required training sessions for that role, with some not requiring any. This allows you to vary from leading a platoon one week to driving a tank the next. The freedom to experience so many different types of game play without hindrance on the co-operation & enjoyability is something you will struggle to find in most other ArmA groups. Public Server If you would like to experience first hand what it's like to play with TWC, come join us on our public server. It runs different dynamic game modes made entirely in-house with a more relaxed game play than in our operations, but it will still give you a good insight in the community and play style. You don't need to sign up to participate on our public server, just the mods and to connect to our TeamSpeak server. We've created an easy to follow guide on how to get connected here. About our Operations Alongside a public server that runs 24/7, the biggest event our group hosts are weekly 'Operations' with between 20 to 40 people. As well as the occasional 'Joint Operation' with other groups which have encompassed up to 70 people total. Our operations span over a century of warfare, with a monthly rotation of World War 2, Cold War, Turn of the Millennium and Modern Operations. This means that in one month you can liberate a French town from Nazi occupation, halt a Soviet mechanised assault in the plains of Northern Germany, brawl with Iraqi armour in the deserts of Kuwait and patrol through the hills of Afghanistan, searching for insurgents. In these operations any recruit or member can play any role as long as he has received the corresponding training. In our operations we strive for maximum realism. We find real-life solutions for problems that we may face in game, while omitting more tedious parts of military duty like saluting, hour-long marches and range etiquette. We aim for the most immersive experience possible by having minimal HUD, first person only, a single life and using ACRE 2 for communications. Our operations take place on Saturday at 18:30 (UK time) and can last up to four hours or more. Interested in trying it out? INTRODUCTION United States Army 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment (3/75th RR)) is a community that aims to provide a realistic simulated special operations environment with the primary focus for operations within the Africa, Caribbean and the Greater Middle East. The higher objective of which is to create an environment which is conducive to allow growth of its members mentally in teamwork, leadership, and morality. OVERVIEW We offer two different battalions you can choose from Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment which is our ground core and muscle. They consist of a rifle company housing three rifle platoons and one weapons platoon. We also have a attached Special Forces Operational Detachment that specialize in Military Free-Fall, Combat Dive, Small Boat and Ground Mobility operations. Lastly we have the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment which is composed of one aviation battalion which flies the AH-6, MH-6, MH-60K, MH-60L DAP, and the MH-47 Chinook conducting direct action, special reconnaissance, and other special operations in the area of operations plus or minus thirty seconds. In October we will be running a fundraising challenge with other milsim units to raise funds for a charity called https://stackup.org . StackUp.Org is a US based charity that has several programs: 1. Send games and gaming equipment to deployed troops of NATO countries for use in their downtime. 2. They take deserving veterans on once in a lifetime trips to conferences such as E3, ComiCon and others. 3. They have volunteer support groups, primarily in the US, which serve as focal points for support and volunteer work. 4. They have a 24/7/365 crisis counselling service they offer via their discord which is available to anyone that is an adult. Essentially, they believe that gaming can have a positive impact on mental health. Their motto is Veterans are our Mission. Gaming is our Passion. We at the 7th Cavalry are a unit that has been in existence since 2002. We have over 300 active members. The fundraising challenge is a way for us to extend awareness of StackUp.Org to the community, to raise more funds overall for the charity and to motivate our members to raise more money. The idea is that each unit would pledge a minimum of $1,000 USD to the challenge, or $20 per active members, whichever is more. So our team goal would be roughly $6,000 USD. My personal goal is to find enough units to pledge a total of $50,000 USD to the campaign. We will collect pledges from our members starting 11 SEP 18 and ending 11 OCT 18. From 11 OCT 18 until 11 NOV 18 teams and team members will make their donations using the Tiltify site which tracks donations and teams and forwards the donations to the charity.   11. Hi, 99th Death Division is a group of people from NA and parts of Europe that get together every week for an immersive zeus event that includes realism and fun. We are looking for people (preferably 18 or older) that are interested in experiencing immersive, realistic community events and have fun doing it. We have a rank structure, however we do not do hyper-realism events such as marches or range etiquette. There is a training requirement for joining but it is just to test if you have a basic understanding of the game and are the kind of person we are looking for. While we prefer 18 or older, we will not turn you away if you are below that age, but you will have to prove your maturity and ability to listen. Our Unit prides itself in being the premier airborne & light infantry MilSim unit in the Arma 3 community.   13. Who are we? The 10th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) is an semi-realistic, international gaming community focussing mostly on ArmA 3 ALiVE structured missions. We have 3 main regiments; the 1st Battalion 10th Marines, 10th Marine Air Wing and 2/14th Combined Arms Regiment. Each regiment has unique training and courses that are required to progress within the community Additionally, there are multiple optional courses that help to develop skills, and open new pathways within the community. For example, we offer courses such as Corpsman, Weapons Team, Artillery, and Combat Diver Schools. What do we do? The 10th MEU run deployments using the ALiVE mod, this means that the server is constantly active and every action taken has an effect on the mission. We also run full battalion missions on Saturdays at 12:00 pm UTC (with more planned in the future), these missions are all preplanned and come with detailed mission briefings so that everyone is aware of what to expect. During these missions, we aim to take key objectives and to have a larger impact on the ongoing mission. We use a variety of different mods such as; ALiVE,CUP, RHS, ACE3, TFAR and also some custom made mods that have been created for exclusive use in our community. Additionally, we use a custom base building script that allows members to create new FOB’s and outposts to secure areas throughout the deployment. Each deployment will last roughly 4-6 weeks, sometimes longer depending on how long it takes to achieve key objectives. Every deployment will have an accompanying deployment brief that will explain the backstory, objectives, available assets and much more. Every member will be placed into an fireteam or vehicle crew (depending on regiment) and each regiment sticks to a fixed role roster during main events. This is to encourage teamwork and consistency, however members may play any roles they are qualified to during non-planned events (such as midweek patrols). To simulate as best of a real-world scenario as we can, we have a large range of highly-trained selected squad-leaders, trainers and officers that will help you with your journey through community ranks and departments. To help with realism and progression of the story, members are encouraged to fill out a small patrol report after every mission (this is usually done by the senior member of the patrol/unit). While this may seems excessive, we believe that it adds to the mission as a whole and gives missions a purpose. As the 10th MEU is a gaming community we also do play other games such as; Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Hellion, Conan Exiles, GTA V, etc. Our members often play these games together, strengthening the sense of community and friendship, there is always something to do and no one is left out. What do we offer? Our community is still in the early stages but growing steadily, we have a handful of members already (around 20) and are looking to grow steadily over the next few weeks. We are looking for all types of members, everything from people that just want to play to those that want to take a bigger role within the community. We are looking for members that want to help develop and grow our community, help build trainings and populate missions. Additionally, we are looking for members that are interested in taking an active leadership role within the community, currently these roles will be limited but more will be available in the future as we expand.   17. Who are we? The 160th SOR is one of Oceania’s largest, Arma 3 MilSim unit that prides itself on our sense of community and dedication to the game and each other. We have 3 main regiments that recruits can join they are; 28th Infantry Regiment, 69th Armored Regiment and finally the 101st Air regiment.   18. What is our unit? The Essex Regiment is a Second World War UK based unit that attempts to recreate a realistic portrayal of the British military during the mid 20th century period. We are a serious milsim, meaning that when on operations, members should be serious and follow designated procedures. The Essex Regiment focuses mainly on conventional warfare, meaning most missions will be lively and kinetic. Occasionally we may also perform counter-insurgencies and other less conventional operations. The Essex Regiment uses a rank system based on the British Army during the Second World War period. In our unit, players will receive promotions and commendations based on their merit and dedication with the unit and not solely based on their role. This means that members will be rewarded for their capability, knowledge and time devoted to the unit. Who is our unit based on? We are based on the Essex Regiment. It fought during many of the different campaigns throughout the Second World War. From the battle of France in 1940 until the fall of Germany in 1945. Our unit won't strictly follow all the campaigns followed by the Essex Regiment as we feel that campaigns such as Norway and Burma and others set in the final days of Empire will allow for differentiation in combat and environment. However the unit will try to stick as close as possible while keeping game-play fun and engaging and will undertake campaigns in a chronological order of events mirroring the events of the Second World War and its immediate aftermath. When do we play? We have two events a week. We conduct exercises and training on thursdays at 2000 GMT (in summer this changes to GMT+1) and operations on sunday at 2000 GMT (again changing to GMT+1 in Summer). How can I join? If you're interested in joining our unit, you must be of 16 years of age or above. If you are below 16, it is possible that you may still join the unit but you must have a mature attitude. The owner who originally brought the community up decided to revive it. The original Deluxe Gaming Society during Arma 2 was a life Server on Cherno. So this time we are bringing it back as a plain old Altis life server.....nah..Bish let me tell you we are working hard on this. We have plans to add TFAR as soon as possible for better role play, we have a small mod pack that is not required to join, but would enhance gameplay. We perform a range of different operations from stealth insertions to military patrols allowing our members to experience more than one type of warfare, something most units don’t achieve. We believe the best way to learn is through doing it for real which is why we only have one short basic combat training that everyone will need to complete to be able to reach the rank Private Second Class. To go above the rank of Private Second Class you will need to complete the Advanced Infantry Training which allows you to achieve any of the ranks within the unit. To gain a specialized role you may be required to complete a specialization training which with teach the basics of the role you will fill. Current specialization trainings are: -Leadership -Combat Medic -Radio Telecommunication When do we Operate? We perform Main Operations on Saturdays at 7pm GMT which are controlled by professional gamemasters which place the players first, ensuring that everyone has fun. Unit Training occurs on Saturdays at 5pm GMT, however if the players are on then it will be whenever requested. Mini-Operations occur throughout the week all of which are dependent on the amount of players on the server and whether people want a mission, however there will be at least 2 mini-operations a week.
