[UK/EU & US] Task Force Charlie - Semi-Serious MilSim (beginner friendly)(ChillSim)(18+)
Task Force Charlie posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
We are Task Force Charlie. We are a Nato MilSim group. Our focus is on delivering immersive and engaging Arma 3 operations while doing away with the more restrictive elements typically found in MilSim communities. There is no rank structure to adhere to, there are no compulsory game nights. Just come and join us whenever you can! Although the group is relatively new, Task Force: Charlie draws its heritage from the now defunt Charlie Squad Community (2017-2021). We have years of MilSim experiance running both scripted and Zeus based Arma operations, as well as server management. The missions we run vary from Special Forces operations, counter-insurgency and conventional warfare. We occasionally run PvP ops as well, but those are more of a "special event", we mostly focus on PvE missions. - Where do we game? We have our own dedicated server - currently capped at 32 players. We also have our own TeamSpeak server for in game Comms. - When do we game? We host Zeus Operations every Friday at 19:30 GMT. We aim to open up a Saturday rotation of Zeus events when we get a larger American player-base (we're currently a largely UK/EU dominated group). - What Mods do we use? That info can be found within the 'Arma-information' channel in our discord. - Are we LGBT friendly? Yep! - Are we beginner friendly? Of course! There's no pressure if you don't have much experience in Arma or don't know proper military terminology. We're happy to help out. - What kit do we use? Your in-game kit should be a NATO inspired loadout, unless permitted otherwise by the mission scenario. To join you must be 18 or over. Microphone is essential. We'll see you on the front lines.- 2 replies

ZKB's PVP Modes is a single mission file that contains multiple PVP gamemodes, perks, score streaks, with persistent stats. This has been an on and off project for the last several years with seemingly endless tweaking and refining of features to make them the best they can be. At the moment there are 3 maps made, 2 in the VR world (I like to make things hard for my self) and ghost hotel and they can be found within a Steam Workshop Collection or on my Steam Workshop. All mission files work both local host so you can quickly play with friends as well on a dedicated server. There is also a server side addon available here where you can create custom loadouts that players can use and combined with mission parameters you can restrict it to only those loadouts or a combination of premade and player custom. If you have any questions or looking for more information on recommended settings for your server feel free to join my discord server where you can find such information and possibly others to play with. https://discord.gg/aGNSztac8k I also have a dedicated server running only the PVP missions and you are able to vote your self admin and change between the maps and mess around with different parameters. In server browser search for: ZKB or Direct Connect IP: 74.208.139.97 Port: 2302 VR Town A medium sized town with parallel roads filled with back alleys and shortcuts for flanking the enemy. The gas station side is a "small" NATO outpost, from it you can see a push towards the church side occupied by enemy guerillas who are putting up a fight all the while IDAP is trying to move around into a courtyard and setup an aid station. https://imgur.com/a/y2fGlQB https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3270028283 VR Suburb A medium sized area with a main road that goes past a gas station, garages, and a couple shops. Off the main road you will find a long row of houses with their yards filled with life. Across the road from the garages next to the houses you will find a square where IDAP has set up a decontamination zone. Expect long sightlines along with fighting between the houses. https://imgur.com/a/6Vce2KP https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3270596264 Ghost Hotel The Ghost Hotel area on Altis with some cover and obstacles placed around the area... not much more to it. https://imgur.com/a/l4IsALQ https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3272429925 Feature Highlights ( https://imgur.com/a/zPll9Y3 ) Mission Parameters Gamemode voting Bots XP and Leveling Custom Loadouts Minimap Hitmarkers Auto mag repack every reload Killcam Settings Keybinds Hitmarkers sound, color, icon Personal preferences Persistent Stats (General and Per gamemode also bot specific stats) Playtime, Kills, Deaths, Assists, Headshots, Score, Wins, Loses, Ties, Objectives Weapons stats (kills, headshots, Shots fired, Hits) layers history (See what they killed you with and you killed them with) Score streak uses and kills Profile Import/Export (Share your stats to friends or back them up) Challenges (Daily and Weekly) Unlocks in addition to weapon kills unlocks (Unlock things for completing challenges) Arma 3 units support (If everyone on a team has the same Arma 3 unit selected then the team name and icon will be the units) Gamemodes Deathmatch The classic free for all mode where the first player to reach the required amount of kills wins. Hotspot A free for all mode where there is a single point that changes positions and needs to be held to gain points. Think of it as King of the Hill. First player to reach the required amount of points wins. Flag Control A free for all mode where a flag spawns randomly on the map and you must get close to pick it up. Once picked up hold on to it to score points. If you die you will drop the flag for others to pick up and after 15 seconds will get reset to a random position. Arcade A free for all Deathmatch mode where you spawn with a basic weapon and no pre-selected Score Streaks. Find other weapons and Score Streaks around the map as pickups. Respawning will remove any unused Score Streak. Team Deathmatch Like Deathmatch but with teams, the first team to reach the required amount of kills wins. Team Hotspot Like Hotspot but with teams, a single point that changes positions and needs to be held to gain points. First team to reach the required amount of points wins. Team Flag Control Like the free for all version but with teams where a flag spawns randomly on the map and you must get close to pick it up. Once picked up hold on to it to score points. If you die you will drop the flag for others to pick up and after 15 seconds will get reset to a random position. Kill Confirmed A team mode where killing a player does not immediately reward your team with a point. Instead, when killing a player it will drop a sphere to be collected, collect green spheres to "Confirm Kill" and gain a point for your team, collect a red sphere to "Deny Kill" and prevent the enemy team from gaining a point. Domination A team mode where each team must capture several areas on the map while at the same time prevent the enemy team from capturing the areas. The more areas your team holds the more points your team gains, first team to reach the required amount of points wins. Perks Score Streaks

multiplayer Can 200 players comfortably play in one session?
Gyu7 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MULTIPLAYER
First of all, I'm a non-English speaking player, so I'm relying on a translator since my English skills are terrible. (Translating using Naver’s Papago.) I'm trying to help famous Korean streamers enjoy Arma 3. In Korea, Arma 3 had a lot of difficulty accessing various information as the number of people active in it decreased significantly due to the DDoS incident that lasted about two years. (I feel infinite envy for those whose native language is English.) This streamer continues to enjoy Arma 3 with his fans and other streamers. In 2022, about 80 people gathered to enjoy the simplified King of the Hill, and in 2023 and at the end of March this year, about 80 people gathered in Altis and Tanoa to enjoy the marathon. Before enjoying content focused on war and combat, research is needed on server problems and optimization, but it is difficult to get help from the Korean community because such a large server has never been serviced in Korea. Our goal is to have 100+ people in one session playing PvP, and I was wondering if I could get some help. Q1. Would using TFAR or ACRE rather than Arma 3's VON reduce the burden on the server? Q2. I saw a topic saying that increasing server bandwidth can reduce desynchronization. Is this still valid? And what is the maximum? Q3. How much will the frame rate drop when 100+ players battle across the area? Please understand that I have too many questions. I hope you have a nice day. 🙂 Add, I think I picked the wrong topic. This is my mistake as I am not familiar with the forum. -

For server admins https://armagc.blogspot.com/p/fow-admin.html Login as admin prior to mission start to see the admin dialog For mission makers Field of war mod can be used to create custom missions. Tutorial: https://armagc.blogspot.com/p/field-of-war-custom-mission-creation.html Optimization tips: Via admin menu Login as admin before mission start to see the admin dialog that allows selecting performance presets - good for quickly selecting less performance heavy setups Via mission parameters Toggling some parameters off (under the performance section) can help to rise the FPS Check the color coded parameters! Green means faster Also try playing on smaller map or set the full map parameter to no More about optimization can be read from here: https://armagc.blogspot.com/p/field-of-war-optimization-guide.html (If you have ideas for this mission please post them) Beta testers: I'm also looking for beta testers so if there's anyone willing please let me know :) Have fun!

Download: MIL_DominationDM: Dropbox/Steam Workshop/Armaholic Description: MIL_DominationDM combines deathmatch gameplay with domination point scoring. There are a number of role specific classes to pick from, each with their own strengths and weakness. Kill players or try to stay alive in one of the score zones to earn points. Full description of mission features and available roles are within the mission briefings and are summarised below under spoiler tags. Features: Scoring: Roles: Missions: MIL_DominationDM consists of 6 missions currently, with 1 more being tested and another 2 planned. Currently: - Altis - Urban - Tanoa - Jungle - Ihantala - Forested homestead - Stratis - Container yard - Livonia - Forest valley - Malden - Desert battlefield wreckage Being tested: - Winter Ihantala - Swampland Planned: - Anizay - Urban/Industrial - Anizay - Urban Dependencies: Mods required are RHSUSAF, RHSAFRF and CUP Terrain - Core. Individual missions may require DLC or mods for access to their related terrains. Install: For the Steam Workshop, subscribe to the above linked collection or the individual missions. For all else, download the MILDominationDM.rar file and extract the missions to your ArmA3/MPMissions folder. Difficulty Settings: Most options have been accounted for by mission scripts, anything else can be setup by the host. However, FOR MINES TO WORK AS INTENDED their detection needs to be turned off either in player profile settings (DETECTED MINES) if running hosted MP, or server difficulty settings (detectedMines) if running a dedicated server - https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Difficulty_Menu. Otherwise, the red triangle will still end up appearing around the mine. Media: Promo (3:05s): Known bugs: Hopefully none, I think I've nailed everything down. BUT, let me know please. Credits: @HallyG for his kill feed script and his openness to it being used and edited (I do plan on adding my changes to the thread) - https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/204483-code-snippet-kill-feed/ @Larrow for his workaround for selecting briefing subjects - https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/224393-selectdiarysubject-help/?do=findComment&comment=3368667 @aliascartoons for his fantastic dust storm script - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=800771522 And the community in general as a good reference point, as always. Squad name: 29th Infantry Division Timezone/location: EST & GMT, NA&Europe Gamemode preference: PvP (with occasional PvE) Website address: www.29th.org Short description: The 29th Infantry Division was activated on March 14, 2005, playing in both The Trenches and Battle Grounds. The reputable 29th Infantry Division that stands before you today participates in the "realism" community of Arma 3, Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, and Squad, with past involvement in Day of Defeat, the Red Orchestra Modification, Darkest Hour: Normandy 1944, and Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm, and Arma 2. Prior to August of 2008, the 29th Infantry Division was a unit within the Half-Life Modification, Day of Defeat. When the 29th started out in Day of Defeat, there were roughly 17 members, and almost half of them were inactive. Today, the 29th ID has become one of the largest Realism Units with 350+ members. In April 2021, our unit expanded to a true Regimental size and showed no sign of showing down. Through training and discipline, we've gotten to where we stand today. We continue growing stronger by the day with new members, returning members, and even veteran members with more than a decade of service. Basic Combat Training, or BCT, is one of the ways we accomplish training new unit members, Cadets, into respectable soldiers of the 29th Infantry Division. Our intricate and well-organized office, Lighthouse, takes care of BCT and trains every soldier that enters the unit. Because of Lighthouse and its efforts, our number is constantly growing. There are many other offices and ways to get involved in the unit; here in the 29th we don't simply "get by." Hundreds of individuals have put forth hundreds of hours building the foundation on which this unit stands today, and we are proud to call ourselves soldiers of the Fightin' 29th! Language: English

UnfinishedBusiness is a dynamic and random survival multiplayer mission with PvP elements for 1-20 players. Well, wat? Let me explain 🙂 You are starting as one coop group and will try to accomplish the mission. This group will be the main story line for the entire mission. If the group will be eliminated, the mission will end immediately. Players who will end up being killed however are not just supposed to watch and wait. They will be assigned to a different fractions and will be helping or resisting the main group. The more players are involved in the mission -- the more fun you will get. Fractions (Sides) West: 4th Marine Regiment (4th MR): The Group is conducting peacekeeping operation. It is also has to scout AOC positions and keep eye on its military forces. This group is the main story line for this mission. The mission will ends as soon as the last member of this group will be killed. Rescue Squad: Rescue Squad will try to help main group if it will be forced to leave the island. It's primary mission to find and rescue any military survivors. Spec Ops: The Group is conducting seek and destroy mission. East: Army Corps of Cahri (AOC): Pro Russian military group from the Cahri islands. Is lead by odious leader named Puhlo Pu. They are trying to expand their military presence over the region. Despite to "peaceful measures" they are extremely invading the island with military force. To save it's influence West needs to stop or restrict AOC operations over the region. Independent: Pulau National Guard (PNG): The former leader of the Pulau islands had formed Pulau National Guard to defend and control the territory. After his death different military officers pronounced themselves as the leaders on Pulau Nation. Unfortunately this turns out into civil war. According to the latest reports NPG has been disbanded and turned into several bandit groups. Most noticed are lead by Marcio Moraz, Gonsales Capito and Solomon Maru. We do have information that some of this leaders are supported by AOC. Currently they are fighting over the island for the dominance. Note: As for now, Players will join other fraction in a random fashion after respawn only. Teaser Download Steam workshop: BREZBLOCK: UnfinishedBusiness Pulau 20 CooP Briefing Following the death of the former dictator, the Pulau National Guard (PNG) has broken up into several gangs, which are conducting situational battles over the cities and villages. Under the guise of a "peacekeeping operation", the Army of Sahri (AOC), led by General Puhlo Pu, started an military invasion. A ceasefire decision is currently in effect. West Special Task Force should ensure the security of civilians and to facilitate a peaceful resolution of the conflict. Hello everyone, I managed to build my own 1v1 map with some additional handy scripts. Now I want to add something else but I didn't manage to find anything on the internet to start with. We realized while playing the game that it would be useful if the enemy player would get pinged on his current location. So my question is if someone has an idea. Quick description: Every minute a position marker (like the tacitcal ping (strg+t)) appears ingame on the position of the enemy player and remains there for 5 seconds. Addition: It would be the best if you could turn this option for the position marker on and off. I would appreciate it if someone can help me.

Frontline is a PvP mod that brings the same structured teamwork orientated gameplay found in games such as Project Reality, Squad and the Tactical Battlefield mod back to Arma 3. The aim is to create a set of realistic game mechanics and systems that puts the responsibility on the players to play as a team to win. The majority of the features of the mod will be very familiar to players of the aforementioned games/mods. Roles and squads Commander features and command structure Rally points and forward outposts Weapon re-balance, smoke and particle rework Defensive structures construction Vehicles and assets become available at specific player numbers. Medical system Custom suppression effects Squad radar Spotting system Heavily modified and enforced TFAR version 3D Interaction (Easier door opening, ladders and more) Vehicle Maintenance Freakishly simple 2-clicks-from-vanilla-arma-to-being-screamed-at-by-your--squadleader launcher. Excellent performance relative to other game-modes that have large player numbers Smooth and polished interface and systems AI fighters only for when the server is waiting for actual players to join But why is it called Frontline? Because we fight on the Frontline! Gone are the days of fighting over arbitrary buildings and locations, now territory is king. You decide what locations are tactically relevant the whole battlefield is your playground. Push the Frontline by taking and holding ground, the team with the most territory bleeds the other of tickets, the more territory the faster the bleed. The Frontline constantly updates and flows with the shape of the battle forces the teams to play together, communicate and fight in a realistic manner. Flank enemy squads to cut them off from reinforcement and supply, probe for undefended gaps in the Frontline and breakthrough. Timelapse 40x speed of a battle (youtube) Typical reaction of a player seeing the frontline for the first time At the moment the mod is played in conjunction with either RHS or Iron Front mods . The only place to play it is on the server run by the development team (this will change as the player-base expands). The mod and it's dependencies are available on steam workshop. If you have any problems installing please use the launcher we made. It's idiot proof. The steam workshop is there because people wanted it, and it works just fine, but we will only support/help people installing with the launcher. Details of the launcher in the second post of this thread and you can get it on the website. The server also uses CUP terrains, Kunduz and some custom terrains that are all in the mod pack delivered by the launcher. Teamspeak is mandatory because of the mod-integrated Task Force Radio, but even if you don't have TS, the launcher will help you install teamspeak, take care of all the TFR plugins, open the frontline teamspeak, put you in the right channel, open TrackIR if you have it, launch Arma, put you into the server, and make you a nice cup of tea just the way you like it.) We have a website here frontline-mod.com but nearly all interaction with/between the community is on the discord On the discord we discuss feedback, trash-talk and organize events and playing times. We play at specific times, we don't yet have the player-base to have spontaneous games so we set specific game nights to get bigger games with more players and combined assets unlocked. So yes the server is empty most of the time, and no that does not mean the mod is dead. Come to the discord to find the time of the next fight, but right now it is every Wednesday (RHS), Saturday (RHS) and Sunday (Iron Front) at 1800GMT. Some background on the development: The mod has been in development for several years now, starting with a sub-section of the dev team that developed Tactical Battlefield. The SQF coding is built on top of the framework made by the AAW team. The tech behind the Frontline itself is something entirely unique to this mod. A whole Python extension framework has been built from scratch just to be able to execute our Python code on the server that takes care of "capturing" the terrain and computes a realistic frontline based on the situation in the AO. On a side note: we're quite proud of how we implemented it. In fact, we're so proud of our ingenious tricks used that we're currently (early 2018) going to Python conferences and giving talks about the gamemode. Its pretty cool stuff and as the bonus of fantastic performance.

[RELEASE] TvT/PvP Campaign Framework (TvTCF)
engima posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
TvT/PvP Campaign Framework (TvTCF) 1.08 by Engima Overview This is a framework that makes is easy for anyone with some scripting experience to create beautiful, story-driven, exciting, light weight and well working multiplayer (TvT/PvP) campaigns in Arma 3. The first campaign built on this framework is Operation Shoe Lace. Features Multiplayer 1-40 players. Supports creation of TvT/PvP, COOP and SP campaigns. As many missions as you want. Missions are 30 minutes long (as maximum) Missions can have primary and secondary objectives (and a "return to base objective") All missions begin with an insertion into an area of action. No revive! Spectate on death. Campaigns are dynamic. Missions can affect each other, and order of missions can be altered, during the campaign. Score. Successful objectives and players kept alive earns score for their team. The team with the highest total score when the campaign ends wins. AI bots can be used on both sides (useful when playing e.g. one vs one). Easy to get grip of. Full documentation about mission mechanics in dialogs and briefing. How it works A TvTCF campaign is actually one Arma 3 mission that is divided into different episodes (TvTCF missions). The mission "resets" itself between each episode, which makes it possible to create a campaign story in which each mission is independent and executed one by one by the "campaign engine". How to use This five parts tutorial covers everything, from a newly installed Arma 3 instance (in Windows) until the campaign is played. TvTCF Video Tutorial Part 1 List of all the videos Part 1 - Intro Part 2 - Installing The TypeSqf Editor Part 3 - Adding The Files Part 4 - Creating The First Mission Part 4 - Creating The Second Mission Useful Links TypeSqf Editor TvTCF framework files (downloaded using the CPack Console in the TypeSqf Editor). TvTCF on GitHub (including the Operation Shoe Lace campaign) Licence MIT plus minor addition. (See the file TVTCF_LICENSE.txt.) Dependencies Arma 3 Compatibility Works on hosted and dedicated server, and is JIP compatible. Version History Version 1.08 Check objective methods dependent of each other did not work in both directions on mission end. Version 1.07 Changed method name Mission.AddBriefingInfoForActing to AddBriefingActing (and the same for opposing). Improved the insertion behavior. Added easy access to all common soldier units (in the soldier dictionary). Added easy access to all common vehicle units (in the vehicle dictionary). Changed the vehicle alias "MRAP" to "CAR" in the vehicle dictionary. Version 1.06 First version published. -
Operation Fool's Gold - PVP Arma 3 Zeus Zombie Mission (Film)
Hypnotic24 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MULTIPLAYER
Here is a video I made on operations fools gold, a PVP zombie mission: Operation Fools Gold The world has been hit by a deadly "Zombie" like plague. Many nations have either collapsed or shut their doors to the outside world in the hopes of fending off the legions of dead now roaming the earth. Whispers of a vaccine being developed in the epicentre of the plague have enticed many mercenaries to try and recover such a valuable item as it would fetch a pretty penny. Your mission will be to recover said vaccine and escape the hell hole that is chernarus. Your search will start at the Green mountain Comms post where a prominent scientist along with what was left of the local military units had been broadcasting from. Good luck. -
Hi all, I have this idea for LAN-party multiplayer PvP game mode / mission, I would like to hear your views, ideas or pointers to already existing material, if you know some. Main idea Dynamic Bulwarks -type of mission, but with PvP setting. Half (or less) of the players defending the bulwark, like in the amazing original version by omNomios and Willtop with ability to buy structures and prepare the base for upcoming assault. And the other part of the team planning their attack from one of the four available spaw points around the defenders location. The attackers would have certain amount of time, 15 or 20 minutes (changed in mission parameters) to kill all defenders and/or maybe to reach the flag at the bulwark, or something. Defenders would win if they manage to defend until the end of the time. Defenders would have revive only, no respawn. Attackers would have respawn also, and ability to spawn to the respawn vehicle that they could drive near to the target. Both sides would gather points/money, that could be used to buy new weaponry, or structures/vehicles to make the assault or defense easier. Most probably the mission would work best at night, and the amount of NV, light sources or thermal imaging equipment would be limited or completely absent. Maybe points could buy some better gear. Some considerations If the building mechanic would be like the one in Dynamic Bulwarks, the object should be not movable for the other side. Careful balancing of gear, structures and point/money resources should be considered to make the game fun and balanced. Attacking side should have few spawn options, to make defenders duty more difficult, and less predictable. Would you think this is worth making? Would it be fun?

FFtA3 : From Flashpoint to Arma 3 Project description : FFtA3 is a Multiplayer project. My objective is to recreate all the best OFP maps (starting by CTF: Capture the Flag and all the way to DM and TDM). As an old school player, playing Flashpoint since 2001 I have recently installed Arma 3. Only finding very little CTF and DM GamePlay, I have started gathering the wonderful maps we all played and on witch we spent soooo much time and started transferring them in the Arma 3 world. Scripts and Templates : In collaboration with the "88th Walking Death" squad and some other coders, I have built up stable CTF, DM and TDM templates. It's is now operational since 1.68 Update. Special thanks to [88] LORD without who this couldn't be possible. Special Thanks : Asaayu FrankForsyth Where to play : www.esportsmasters.org Map already recreated : - [CTF] The End - [CTF] Lost And Lonley - [CTF] Never Scared - [CTF]=S.O.F=Born To Kill - [CTF] Corridor - [DM] Tequila Sundown - [TDM] SNIPER SHOWDOW - [TDM] Urban Sniper - [DM] MAZED - [CTF] S-Curve - [CTF] Mini Hexenkessel - [CTF] Adagio (QA Testing) - [DM] Andersen Gunship (WIP) Maps to come : - [CTF] Scotch Valley - [CTF] PRiSONyARD (by SOD clan) - [CTF] Dead Mans Alley (by SOD clan) - [CTF] Head Fuck (by SOD clan) - [CTF] ToySoldiers - [CTF] Crazy ctf - [CTF] Cashville - [CTF] Dead Zone - [CTF] Yukon - [CTF] X-RAY - [CTF] URBAN ALLEY - [CTF] Little Everon - [CTF] LightHouseKeeper - [CTF] Up In Smoke - [CTF] PARADISE - [TDM] Double Tower Sniper - [TDM] SniperZ - [CTF] Labyrinthe ... It is a "Close Quarters Combat (CQC)" game-mod played by a limited amount of players (2 to 24 players) in a restricted area (500m MAX). CTF players have to capture the enemy flag and bring it back to their own Flag. Fatigue is disabled and Snipers/long range riffles are not available (for CQC version). The team that scores the most times in a given time is the winner. CTF can be adapted to bigger maps and applied to a terrain. [WARLORDS - 8v8] Eradication: Post-Apocalyptic Warfare
MrCrazyDude115 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - USER MISSIONS
Hello, soldiers! Welcome to my latest mission: Eradication. Eradication is a mod/variant which combines the new Warlords mode and the Ravage Mod, creating a post-apocalyptic type Warlords scenario. Story: 10 years ago, a deadly sickness spread throughout the island. The island had been closed off and quarantined, left to rot and be consumed. Within the chaos, two major factions rose to the top. The year is now 2019, and a highly trained US Marine Task-Force has been deployed to establish a foothold on the island, neutralize the two major factions in the region, and attempt to eradicate as many infected as possible. BLUFOR players will control the US Marines, OPFOR players will control one of the major factions on the island, and the INDEPENDENT faction will be AI controlled and will defend all towns and cities with their lives. Renegades and lone survivors will also roam the island killing everything on sight. Both teams of players will have to loot and scavenge the area to ensure they never run out of ammo or resources. However there is NO hunger/thirst system as I thought it would take away from the main idea of the mission. You will be able to tweak some parameters before playing to make it customizable to suit your needs. To play solo/with AI: Host a LAN server normally and keep the AI in the player slots. Everything else is basically the same as the Warlords mode, but has been modified to fit the setting. If this mission is well received, I will make versions for other maps. More Info: - The Independents represent the 2nd major faction in the region, the 1st being the OPFOR faction. - You can search any wreckage or furniture piece. All buildings have been fully furnished. - Renegades and bandits will sometimes be carrying important Ravage items. - The OPFOR faction has slightly weaker units, but they make up for it by being cheaper to recruit. wip The Fallen - PvP/PvE Dedicated Game Mode.
ZETA. posted a topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Click Here to read the same information in google docs: CLICK HERE Development Status: Early Development We are currently recruiting more developers and staff if you think you have what it takes to join The Fallen team join our discord and sign up. What is fallen? Brief Game mode description Arma 3 The Fallen is a PvE / PvP game mode inspired by Tom Clancy's The Division being developed by the Arma 3 The Fallen team. It is set in a fictional city using Midtown Manhattan's city road layout, in the aftermath of a virus escaping a lab; the player, also known as an agent employed by the United States armed forces, is tasked with helping to try to fight to take back the city from enemy ai factions and combat criminal activity in its wake. The Fallen is structured with elements of role-playing games, as well as cooperative and player versus player online multiplayer, there are no cars or transport; the only way of getting around is by foot. Gameplay Arma 3 The Fallen is an action role-playing game (RPG) mode set in an open world mid-crisis city with destructible environments that can be freely explored by the players. The player's mission is to restore order by gearing up and fighting the factions trying to take over the city. The player can carry three weapons, and explosives like sticky bombs and mines and handheld throwables to fight against enemies, The game mode is played from a third-person perspective. As players progress, they earn Fallen Credits. They can use this in-game currency to buy weapons and gear, and use the Credits to learn perks. You can progress through tier levels to get better perks. The player's gear is categorized into seven levels of rarity and commonality: worn, standard, specialized, superior, high-end, gear set items or the rarer exotic items. Gear can be either bought with credits at the vendors, or found as in-game loot, or crafted from gathered blueprints. There are 3 perk tier categories these are Medical, Security, and Tech. By battling AI and players, completing tasks and objectives this grants the player credits which the player can spend to gain access to new perks and more XP meaning they can fight harder and better AI and higher perk tiered and level players easier, the higher your player level the more chance you have of getting better gear, guns and rarities. The game mode features a dynamic weather system which may bring benefits or disadvantages to players. For instance, storms and mist can hinder a player's visibility and make aiming difficult. The game will also feature a day-night cycle which can change the aggressiveness of the ai in the game. PVE The core gameplay of The fallen is Player vs Environment. The Agents will go against AI Factions. These Factions are split into Tier systems of how dangerous they are (1 is the easiest). Each faction has identifiable gear and items on them and different factions will give you various loot and monetary rewards for killing them. All factions will immediately be hostile towards the player upon seeing them. Some of the AI factions will require help from friends due to number or difficulty. There are 2 player hubs and 7 safe houses throughout the world, these are where you will get missions. Missions are the best way to get rewards and content and give you the highest chances of rewards as you are helping the populace The main hub is where you will respawn when you die and is considered to be the central hub of the world, often most missions will send you through or back here, the hub is a good location to talk to players and try and set up a group. Groups We have no player factions, every player is a part of the Agency, instead, players can form groups, these groups are run by their group leader and it is up to them what tasks and areas they operate in. PVP/Dark Agents In the Fallen zone agents can decide to go rogue otherwise known as going dark. This is the PvP element of the game mode. These agents are marked on the map and can be killed for a reward but also kill other players for their gear and gain the reward. Dark agents are the most extreme and dangerous ways of getting rewards and gear and are one of the hardest methods on the server for gaining gear. Fallen Zone The Fallen zone is where the virus first spread and is the most hit area, thus this area is extremely dangerous. At Fallen Zone 9 Also known as FZ-9 of the Fallen zone is the lab where the virus was created and is one of the most dangerous locations in the game. A Lot of equipment and people were left in this zone as the military tried to gain a foothold and stop the spread of the virus. This area is where a lot of high-end weapons were left behind when the military fell back beyond the quarantine wall because of the increased violence and infection rates in this area. Specialist equipment must be worn to even enter the Fallen zone... Better quality items can be found within the Fallen Zone, but are considered "contaminated"; contaminated loot can be stolen by other players and must be flown out via helicopter in order for them to be available to the player after they leave the Fallen Zone. Players can be accompanied by other friendly agents, however, anyone can turn against each other at any moment, this is called going dark. Players credits may drop if they die too often in the zone. Backstory The year is 2020 a supervirus escaped a lab when there was a massive gas leak leading to an explosion; most of the specimens were contained or were killed by the scorching heat of the flames...but this supervirus escaped the flames through survivors using their bodies as a trojan horse and incubator to ravage through the host’s body, through the flames and into the city population, this supervirus was phage and antibiotic-resistant and ravaged through the population of the city within 14 hrs of infecting patient zero of this viral epidemic, this supervirus was highly infectious and caused symptoms of coughing, sneezing, sweating, viral rash and major respiratory problems leading to lung collapsation. The supervirus was known as the Neo-Virus named after the lab called Neo Virology Laboratories that was based in the part of the city we now call the fallen zone, this virus caused widespread chaos, and the city was placed under quarantine. The U.S. Government activated sleeper agents in the population, they are tasked with restoring order in the city. They combat criminal groups, such as the Rioters, common street thugs who generally want to take advantage of the quarantine, and the Cleaners these are insane City Sanitation workers who wield flamethrowers and believe everyone is infected, You even fight blacked agents who have gone insane after witnessing the chaos and destruction caused during the breakdown of order following the initial outbreak. You also can fight an ai faction called "Darked Suppressors" (DS) that were originally the front line against the darkness that swallowed this fallen city, a blacked private military company that was abandoned by the government during the evacuation, and are now hostile to it. A Fallen Zone is a place that has been left behind and fallen into chaos. This is where the lab was and there is evidence of the damage and how badly the supervirus hit this area of the city, the government walled this part of the city off as a last-ditch effort to keep the infection contained, It’s your job to survive and help the city get back on its feet, will you be the hero or turn your back on your people.. let’s find out! Factions During the short period of this disaster, groups have formed into factions. Most factions within the zone are enemy factions but some factions are friendly or neutral to our cause and will help us during firefights or even give us supply, shelter and gear. Civilians You will have AI civilians walking around the map, some may have missions so make sure to go up to them and check as they have good rewards. Enemy Factions The following are the most prevalent enemy factions, these are the ones that are the most dangerous to us or we know where they are. Cleaners The cleaners are an enemy faction that wants to kill the virus by burning everything...but they believe everyone is infected and won't stop at anything to burn everyone and everyone to death! Darkness Suppressors ( DS ) "Darked Suppressors" (DS) that were originally the front line against the darkness that swallowed this fallen city, a blacked private military company that was abandoned by the government during the evacuation, and are now hostile to it. Looters Looters are AI that attacks people for their loot, they only care about their own survival in this world and will do anything they can to benefit themselves for a higher chance of survival. Dark Agents Dark agents are an ai faction of Agents that have gone dark and are now trying to gain power in the city. More factions to be added! Connection Information Discord- 1 reply
