  1. Frontline is a PvP mod that brings the same structured teamwork orientated gameplay found in games such as Project Reality, Squad and the Tactical Battlefield mod back to Arma 3. The aim is to create a set of realistic game mechanics and systems that puts the responsibility on the players to play as a team to win. The majority of the features of the mod will be very familiar to players of the aforementioned games/mods. Roles and squads Commander features and command structure Rally points and forward outposts Weapon re-balance, smoke and particle rework Defensive structures construction Vehicles and assets become available at specific player numbers. Medical system Custom suppression effects Squad radar Spotting system Heavily modified and enforced TFAR version 3D Interaction (Easier door opening, ladders and more) Vehicle Maintenance Freakishly simple 2-clicks-from-vanilla-arma-to-being-screamed-at-by-your--squadleader launcher. Excellent performance relative to other game-modes that have large player numbers Smooth and polished interface and systems AI fighters only for when the server is waiting for actual players to join But why is it called Frontline? Because we fight on the Frontline! Gone are the days of fighting over arbitrary buildings and locations, now territory is king. You decide what locations are tactically relevant the whole battlefield is your playground. Push the Frontline by taking and holding ground, the team with the most territory bleeds the other of tickets, the more territory the faster the bleed. The Frontline constantly updates and flows with the shape of the battle forces the teams to play together, communicate and fight in a realistic manner. Flank enemy squads to cut them off from reinforcement and supply, probe for undefended gaps in the Frontline and breakthrough. Timelapse 40x speed of a battle (youtube) Typical reaction of a player seeing the frontline for the first time At the moment the mod is played in conjunction with either RHS or Iron Front mods . The only place to play it is on the server run by the development team (this will change as the player-base expands). The mod and it's dependencies are available on steam workshop. If you have any problems installing please use the launcher we made. It's idiot proof. The steam workshop is there because people wanted it, and it works just fine, but we will only support/help people installing with the launcher. Details of the launcher in the second post of this thread and you can get it on the website. The server also uses CUP terrains, Kunduz and some custom terrains that are all in the mod pack delivered by the launcher. Teamspeak is mandatory because of the mod-integrated Task Force Radio, but even if you don't have TS, the launcher will help you install teamspeak, take care of all the TFR plugins, open the frontline teamspeak, put you in the right channel, open TrackIR if you have it, launch Arma, put you into the server, and make you a nice cup of tea just the way you like it.) We have a website here frontline-mod.com but nearly all interaction with/between the community is on the discord On the discord we discuss feedback, trash-talk and organize events and playing times. We play at specific times, we don't yet have the player-base to have spontaneous games so we set specific game nights to get bigger games with more players and combined assets unlocked. So yes the server is empty most of the time, and no that does not mean the mod is dead. Come to the discord to find the time of the next fight, but right now it is every Wednesday (RHS), Saturday (RHS) and Sunday (Iron Front) at 1800GMT. Some background on the development: The mod has been in development for several years now, starting with a sub-section of the dev team that developed Tactical Battlefield. The SQF coding is built on top of the framework made by the AAW team. The tech behind the Frontline itself is something entirely unique to this mod. A whole Python extension framework has been built from scratch just to be able to execute our Python code on the server that takes care of "capturing" the terrain and computes a realistic frontline based on the situation in the AO. On a side note: we're quite proud of how we implemented it. In fact, we're so proud of our ingenious tricks used that we're currently (early 2018) going to Python conferences and giving talks about the gamemode. Its pretty cool stuff and as the bonus of fantastic performance.
  2. Arma Project – is a player community that was created for hosting team-based tactical games that imitate real-life armed conflicts through the use of modern technical means. The project aims to achieve interesting, tactically coordinated plays of already created missions. One life per mission, first-person only, no bots, realistic camouflage, armament and vehicles. Main event – Arma Project Games (APG) runs on Fridays and Saturdays from 21:00 Moscow time (GMT+3). Games run on their own assembly of mods for ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead, based on Advanced Combat Environment 2 (Complicates ballistics, adds many weapons, equipment, artillery, etc.), many additional islands (Napf, Winter Cherno and Vostok, Caribou, Emita, Fallujah, Fata , Isla Duala, Franken, Zernovo, Isola Di Capraia, Lingor, Celle, Panthera, Queshkibrul, Sahrani, Thirsk, Spritzisland, etc.), many additional mods (RHS, weapons, vehicles, uniforms, various features, etc.), and also a radio exchange mod. The game on the project is very different from vanilla ArmA 2, adding realism, simulator and complicated model of ballistics / weapons / equipment. Arma Project Games (APG) There are 2-3 missions for 100-220 slots; confrontation between two sides (red and blue), which consist of 3-8 detachments with their own commanders and structures; the parties prepare in advance for the mission: they plan their actions, arrangement, tasks, etc. Each mission takes between 30 minutes and 2.5 hours. TeamSpeak: ts.armaproject.ru It was originally a Russian community, but recently we present the English version of the ArmaProject! Translated information about the project, game installation, short rules, Steam guide and community, forum interface and home page. Przewodnik dla początku gry na polskim (Polish guide) An non-Russian section of the forum has been created for communication. TeamSpeak has translators to answer questions and guide you through the game. We look forward to new players and your feedback!
  3. Hey everyone, so we've been playing on our Nitrado server for a while now, already with other mods like CBA and what so ever. Now we wanted to add TFR, the Server accepted the mod and the mission itself runs perfectly. The directions of the voices also work. The only problem we have, is that as soon as we join the server we get a notification right in the middle of the screen saying: "No Task Force Radio deployed on server!" The normal radios sometime disapear after picking them up and opening the radio with ctrl + p doesnt work aswell... do we need to change something in the mission.pbo file? really hard to find stuff in there. We also sometime problems with the parameters not being changeble even as an admin. Thanks for reading and helping. 🙂
  4. ABOUT THE SERVER Our public Insurgency server is a Dedicated Server built to run fun ArmA 2 style Insurgency ACE & ACRE missions, but with ArmA 3 with updated and modern versions of addons such as ACE and Task Force Radio. For those who played ACE and ACRE Insurgency servers back in ArmA 2, we are trying to revive the gameplay style along with other servers doing the same to provide a fun and realism experience on a public server. This server will be up 24/7 unless updates or restarts are needed. The server may under go mission changes as we like to switch the terrain up from time to time, so don't worry about having to play the same terrain over and over again. We will keep the mission style to insurgency but some missions may have a slight difference depending on the scripting that went into the different missions. These missions are pulled from mission devs that are not part of our group, but will be modified for a better experience, such as adding ACE, Task Force Radio and CUP Terrains. HOW TO JOIN To join our server, all you need is the required addons and the latest version of ArmA 3. REQUIRED ADDON LIST ACE3 ACEX CBA A3 CUP_Terrains_Core CUP_Terrains_Maps Task Force Radio HOW TO PLAY For those of you new players that have not played these style of missions, we will describe how to play. Insurgency is a mission of clearing red grid squares that indicates towns or buildings, within those red markers are hostiles. You objective is not only to clear red squares to turn them into blue or green squares, but also retrieve intel of ammo caches in the region. Intel can be in forms of cell phones, radios, documents, pictures and even talk to civilians for intel. Once intel is acquired, red question marks with a number next to it will pop up on the map. Those question marks will give the approximate distance in meters of the cache from the marker. Once you find the cache, you are to detonate the cache. Once all 12 ammo caches are detonated around the map, the mission will end and restart or move on to the next insurgency map. If players do not want to cache hunt anymore, that is fine. There are also randomly generated side missions that generate around the map, such as, Eliminate HVT's, destroy IED factories, Destroy enemy convoy, Capture and much more. These missions will also give the players rewards such as new vehicles and equipment back at main base if the task has been a success. Being part of our server with the Task Force Radio addon requires all players to join our Teamspeak server for communication. This allows players to have a better realism experience having to use radios to communicate from one side of the map to the other. This also allows better organization in the server for multiple teams of people to communicate with out stepping over each other with default in-game communications. 5. Hey, So a few weeks back, without any warning, my TFR started to stop allowing direct chat. Usually, I would use voice activation, but now, after about 10-15mins in a server using TFR, my voice activation in Teamspeak will disable, looking like my microphone is not picking up any sound. It does this without warning, and the only way I can tell it has stopped working is that my Overwolf stops showing my name and people start asking why I'm so quiet. The fix I have found is to close TS and relaunch it, but this is pretty tedious, especially in a combat environment. I've tried re-installing both TS3 and TFR, but the problem persists.

  7. So my friend and I are trying to create a small ALIVE mission for us just to play occasionally but we want to be able to save it so that we can progress through the map and eventually rid the enemy presence from the whole map. When we first start the mission our TFR works fine, but after we save it, exit, then go back and resume it, the host's TFR won't initialize. The TFR of the person joining it works fine, just for some reason the host's TFR wont work. We tired it with him as the host and me as the host. We are both very experienced with mods and can usually just troubleshoot our problems by ourselves but this one has us stumped. I can assure you we have the mods installed correctly and I really can't see how any of our other mods would conflict with TFR causing it to do this since it works just fine in missions that we don't have to save then resume. Any ideas on how to fix this other than putting the mission on a dedicated server?
  8. We at HitCorp International been around the OFP/ARMA scene for a while and have always been a fan of somewhat dynamic Island-wide missions open to the public, utilising realism and radio mods and not much else to keep it open to as many people as possible while also avoiding the modern ARMA3 problem of friendlies appearing in nonsensical clothing and shouting "bang" at the enemy with empty hands. Our group is fairly relaxed but enjoys team play and supporting other groups and players, so we feel this is a good place for people and groups to practise playing with ACE as well as communicating with outside individuals and groups during operations without having to download a lot of mods to make sure you see everybody right. We have a small number of public regulars as well as our group who frequent the server, any time from GMT afternoon to GMT early-hours, and hope to play with more. The mission is relatively stock Liberation on Altis for now, but we're slowly customising it to our tastes and may start a Tanoa version if enough of our regulars have Apex. We regulate our permissions system based on proven trust of players, so please don't expect to be building attack aircraft and flying around as soon as you connect.
