Cold War Rearmed III is a community project to recreate the experience of the great and unique Cold War Crisis and Resistance campaigns from Operation Flashpoint™ (later known as Cold War Assault). Our main focus is keeping the atmosphere from the original game, while taking advantage of Bohemia Interactive's modern engine and gameplay enhancements. Once again, you can witness the confrontation between the Soviet Union and the United States spiraling into a shooting war over the Malden islands, a chain of isles in the middle of nowhere... Welcome to the third return of the legendary Cold War Rearmed modification! Please see the links below for SP/MP Missions and the legendary Cold War Crisis campaign. For all missions, the CUP CWC terrains are used. We'll come up with new versions of these ever popular terrains, but that's also far away. Jakerod is good, but he also can't create terrains with pressing a button or two. 🙂 Note: Some uniforms and other items are moved from the core Mod to the USMC, VDV and VMF Expansions. This was necessary because in the end there was a huge mess of all kind of items. So if you're missing an item in an mission or in the editor: Load these Expansions and they should be back. Now, this huge Mod would not have been possible without* The CUP team, which created not only one of the most popular Mods but serve as a base for CWR III. * 3 Commando Brigade : M939 Trucks and SCUD launcher. * Basher : OPFOR uniforms, equipment, headgear textures * Batteriefuhrer : Responsible for most of the unit textures. * beppe_goodoldrebel : Vests from his '80s pack. * Bossman : Propaganda material * ColdWarChris : MERDC and C-130 textures. * DSabre : Sopwith Camel model and textures. * EMSI : Sharing his UI config wisdom with us. * Freddo : Option to enable/disable Spotlight in Addon Options. * Ghost : Couple of scripts still being used in our missions. * hcpookie : Proper working MM-1 grenade launcher * joker006 : Fixed the Trabant and Bus models so they actually work. * Lakarak : Edited SSh-40 Russian Helmet Model * Lorenluke : Improved our Scud launcher script * max1048 : Soviet equipment meshes (6B3, 6B5, vests) * maxjoiner : Thank you for supplying us with a working female character. * MaxPower : Contributing his truly splended AH-1 and Trabant models. * Mikero : Without his tools, this would be a pile of junk. Seriously. * Motta : M1 Helmet Model * Shuko : His Taskmaster script used everywhere. * sinmercardo : New US Army uniforms * slatts : Sharing a fair amount of his former Conflict '85 stuff * Stagler : Models and configs fixing, again and again (usually after I touched them). * Temon : Thanks for your OFP face textures. * Tini : Models/Textures * Trento : Models/Textures * Urban : Adding/Fixing various vehicle lights. * vilas : Mini Cooper, Skoda Rapid, UAZ-452 and T-64 models. * Xeno/Xacino : Soviet uniform (M69, M55/63), equipment, headgear (berets) meshes * Everyone else we accidently forgot Last but not least, the legal stuff CWR III END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA) The work contained in this distribution is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0. After the rampage of the Armaholic "admin" I had repeated requests for the CWR² mod files. And after our website went down last year, the last download option was also lost. We are really spared nothing. 🙁 However, I have now uploaded the latest version of the mod (v1.7) to Google Drive and Onedrive. Included are the mod, all terrains, expansions and campaigns. Currently the SP/MP missions are missing, I'm working on those. And my only surviving archive of the Netherlands expansion is corrupted, so the Dutch are MIA. If anyone has them, please contact me. Steam Workshop This modification is a work of fiction, and is loosely based on real world history. The groups, characters, places, names and events in this modification are fictional. Overview Cold War - Argana is a project focusing on the nation of Argana from the 1970s to the 1990s, and takes numerous creative liberties in an attempt to flesh out the small West African nation at the height of the Cold War. At this time, Cold War - Argana focuses on the brewing conflict between the Arganan National Army and the Tura Insurgency. This modification uses the Global Mobilization CDLC from Vertexmacht and the Western Sahara CDLC from the Rotators Collective. Both are essential to Cold War - Argana, and I am immensely appreciative for the fantastic work they have done. A full list of dependencies can be found on the lower right-hand side of the Workshop page. For any additional queries, feel free to drop me a private message here or reach out to me on my Discord. Hey guys. Today I'm happy to announce to development of Conflict '85. A re-imagining and recreation of Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis. Conflict '85 was born out the CUP project as I created Russian and FIA units in the style of OFP units. From there the ideas grew and grew. Re-imaging: There's a lot of military hardware from 1985 that would fit sweetly into the OFP timeline. I aim to bring a unique yet fitting armory of vehicles and weapons into the fold. We'll get into a few examples later. Recreation OFP is a game adored by those who played here, those who yearn for that era one more time. There were vehicles and weapons in OFP that perhaps shouldn't have been used. (I'm looking at you OT-65) yet why the hell not have them back in A3. While a lot of vehicles don't exist right now. Hopefully as time goes on, it may be possible to bring back those missing vehicles. Screenies. M1 Abrams FIA captured T-72. Painted with the classic green stripe indicator. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/505902374494994338/08E6AE6C33FA9B14DC8FA08F533ABA7CC4BCCC06/ RU T-72 M151 Jeep M113A1 and M577. The ever reliable M113 and it's cousin, the M577 command post.ambulance. Return in MERDC camo. Giving them a new look. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/505902374502543185/82F5BE3A43D2020A48805BE6E574A7E1D1A1D034/ FIA encampment http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/509280040511509501/8F966F03C798E84F36357DD87F90FE36BD40AD72/ http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/509280040511509723/F5BAC5DCB3816B5F931D10EA410273DEE0E5846C/ US Army UH-60A armed with M2 MG http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/501399955305426393/489CE502859FF3832A20C40CDE7C080A0B1B362E/ RU Ot-65 FUG CUP will be at the heart of this mod. A standalone is out of the question before you ask :) I'm a man of few words who can't think of much more to say but if you have any questions or suggestions. Hi, this is the WIP-Release of the upcoming „My Mistake“ Campaign. The Story is about a grandfather, who is very sick and gets his family around him to tell them about a mistake he did in his life, which he wants to talk about before his death. He starts with the last few days before his mandatory military service where the player visits friends behind the Iron Curtain in East Germany. Then war erupts and the player is thrown into the fight to save his and his comrades lives and their country from an invasion with unknown intentions. After this the player experiences the whole military career of the grandpa and discovers what he meant with the words „I made a horrible mistake“... Current state of the Campaign: Currently in the WIP release there are 3 missions with more to come as they are created into a playable state. None of these are 100% finished, which I do besides finishing the other missions, but they should be mostly bug free and are only lacking some immersive touch on like more AI civilians or more ambient conversations... Remarks: The campaign is nowhere near finished, and I didn´t start with creating it from the first mission on as these are missions where big parts of Altis and Tanoa need to be decorated, which I started with, but isn´t finished and needs more time. Also for now I skip everything that happens before the conflict with the GDR (about 10 missions, mostly training and immersion focused) as this part of the campaign (the second part) is planned out completely and I used the first mission of it to experiment with some mechanics that I want to use throughout the whole campaign and continued from there. What makes my campaign special is that it is a really realistic story that I develop in cooperation with a military advisor to keep it realistic on a strategic as well as tactical level so the player could be fully immersed into the life of the grandpa. I try to build as much randomness in the missions as possible, in one mission there are over 40 different possibilities how a conversation could unfold according to how a artillery barrage hits a target and that also changes the next mission on this point. Also there are often multiple possible ways to complete the mission. Because of this it takes long for the missions to be completed, but I think it´s worth it if the mission is better afterwards. Features: -Realistic and immersive campaign -Many random elements -Story changing corresponding to player and AI actions -Custom dialogues -Very long campaign (story spans over roughly 50 years) with potentially over 100 missions -Voice acting and cutscenes between and during the missions planned -Training missions to teach you what you need to know (coming in the future) -German and English localization (no english localization in the second mission, but it could come soon) I´m looking for your help finishing the campaign: Due to the massive scale of the campaign any help is greatly appreciated as currently I create this campaign alone with some help in testing, scripting and localization, but basically alone this would take forever to finish. Primarily needed is help in mission creation, scripting, testing, voice acting and localization in other languages. It doesn´t matter what you could do, if you want to contribute we find a role for you. If you find any bugs feel free to share them, so I could fix them. Also if you have suggestions for improvements please share them so I could implement them. I hope you enjoy this campaign. With the re-release of the mod I felt like I maybe should start a thread Brotherhood & Unity The end of Yugoslavia, 1985-2000 Background During the Cold War Yugoslavia stood as a neutral nation between the Warsaw Pact and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. To uphold its neutrality Yugoslavia required an army to defend itself which led to a large effort to build one up and at the end of the Cold War the Yugoslav People's Army was a well equipped and well trained army. The army would ultimately end up being used against itself during the breakup of Yugoslavia and the wars that followed. About Brotherhood & Unity aims to cover the Yugoslav People's Army before the breakup and also the different factions that fought in the Yugoslav Wars. The mod is not 100% accurate when it comes to the equipment used but I am looking to do my best with a relatively light list of dependencies. Steam Workshop - Full Release Overview Sunset over Takistan is a project encompassing the Green Sea Region between 1979 - 1992, and takes numerous creative liberties in an attempt to flesh out the conflicts between Takistan and her neighbours, as well as the Takistan Civil War that ultimately led to the end of the monarchy and the rise of the dictator Muhammad R. Aziz. At this time, the plan is for Sunset over Takistan to focus on two primary conflicts; the Takistan-Ardistani War 1979-1987 (the "Oil War") and the Takistani Civil War 1988-1992. Additionally, special attention is planned for the Chernarussian Soviet Socialist Republic and the Republic of Karzeghistan given their presence in the region. By design, Sunset over Takistan utilises Global Mobilization from Vertexmacht, Western Sahara from Rotators Collective and The Free World Armoury by TepacheLoco. All are essential to Sunset over Takistan, and I am immensely appreciative for the fantastic work they have done. I'm currently investigating creating / importing more equipment into ArmA III to supplement the project further. For any additional queries, feel free to drop me a private message here or reach out to me on my Discord. What's included? At this time, Sunset over Takistan includes the following; What's planned? November 2020 - Birth of the Alpha So I'm back! I've started up a separate alpha mod to release work as it gets done. Spent the last day or two tidying up a whole bunch of stuff that was almost complete and adding polish to a few bits. Get the alpha on Steam Workshop First alpha changelog Spearpoint's goal is to be the most detailed and accurate cold war British armed forces mod available for Arma. During the cold war the armed forces of the United Kingdom took position as one of the key militaries upholding the defence of the free world. At the tip of the spear was a volunteer army made up of 160,000 personnel across the globe. Get it now on Steam Workshop Join the discord Dependency Requires CBA Features A new, original content UK armed forces mod spanning the era of mid 1960's to mid 1980's, representing all major theatres of combat: The Cold War in Europe, Arctic deployments as per The Falklands conflict, Desert as per the Aden Emergency and Tropical gear befitting Malaya. A small note This period of British military history involves multiple conflicts which have left wounds that, for many, still linger. For the sake of the wider community and perception of this work I would suggest a tactful approach to creating and distributing missions involving these conflicts. If you take issue with this statement or any content put out by the community using this mod, feel free to contact here or via Discord. Screenshots Content Credits Over a year ago I began the process of learning to mod Arma 3 and put together Spearpoint. This would not have been possible without the mentoring and support of Mondkalb and the rest of the Arma Cold Warriors Discord channel. They are too numerous to name here, but the happy responses, healthy critique and empathy in frustration are what stopped me from giving up on this months ago. The Arma 3 community as a whole has contributed to a huge knowledge base that I leaned heavily upon to get this mod in to the world. The Volunteer Commando Battalion is a group that kept me interested in playing Arma for years past its original run (back to the earliest days of OFP), and I would wholeheartedly recommend checking them out if you want to play with this mod in tactical realism scenarios. Thanks to red_spring for the photography shown in this post. Thanks to toadie2k for weapon animation tutorials and development content. License Note: The alpha has a different license. Refer to its workshop listing for more.

Cold War: Global Escalation Mod Series This thread is for my Cold War mod project, which aims to capture the feeling of the conflict while only using assets that are already existing. The mod is based on the late 80s and early 90s period and features a number of factions who are relevant for the time: the Soviet Union, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, the People's Republic of China, the United States, West Germany. These factions are broken into multiple mods, with the Eastern Bloc one currently being the released one. NATO nations will be included soon, as will certain smaller and overlooked nations from the period such as Rhodesia or Cuba, and even North Korea. The mod is meant to be based in history but is not historically accurate in the sense that all of the equipment is exactly right. The equipment is as accurate as it can be with the available assets, and when compared to historical photographs, is still reasonably close to real life. This is especially true if you are using these units as OPFOR enemies, which you'll see in full detail less. Additionally, infantry is the main focus of the mod. The dependencies are listed on the Steam download page. Eastern Bloc Factions On Steam Screenshots

Steam Workshop This modification is a work of fiction, and is loosely based on real world history. The groups, characters, places, names and events in this modification are fictional. Overview Heart of Darkness is a project focusing on Africa from the 1970s to the 1990s, and takes numerous creative liberties in an attempt to flesh out the conflicts between a number of original countries that are referenced in the ArmA series; notably Argana, Lombakka and Bocano. At this time, the plan is for Heart of Darkness to focus on two primary conflicts; the Bocano Civil War 1975-1997 and the Lombakkan Civil War 1981-1992. To begin with I've chosen to focus on the Bocano Civil War, however my intent is to gradually expand as time goes on. StellaStrela's Generic Retextures [SGR] and Faction Mods [SFac]
StellaStrella posted a topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hi Everyone, here is the big list of my recent work, its all origonaly planned as retextures for my Cold War themed factions, but as I went along I realised much of the conent might be useful to have as modular standalone mods so people can just download what they need and things wont need to be duplicated over and over. So for that reason their are the Core mods, which all serve to feed into my regional faction mods and then there are the Extras mods which exsist to allow the use of the core mods as standalone items. 345th Soviet Uniforms Mod Thank you for checking out this page. I'm from the 345th SGVAR Arma Unit. We have made some equipment for our latest campaign, and we would like to share it with everyone, due to the unexpectedly high quality. It is a bunch of 1970/80's Soviet equipment. We are a VDV unit at the core but we will also add equipment from other branches soon! We're super hyped to see various mod teams working on more Cold War content. Features: This mod contains uniforms, vests, backpacks and headgear to recreate the Soviet Armed Forces of the 1970s and 1980s Cold War Period. All uniforms/gear are compatible with Red Hammer Studios style uniforms and gear. This mod currently contains VDV and VMF equipment, but other branches are on the way. It also includes “roleplay” uniform variations that we use within the 345th SGVAR Arma 3 Unit. If you would like a slimmed down version of this pack that does not include rank shoulder boards, I suggest you download the Soviet Armed Forces mod, which will soon be updated! Future Plans & Bugfixes: We plan to include full sets of Motor Rifle (MSV), and Tank/Artillery equipment – including unique uniforms with rank variations, and unique service-appropriate gear with class variations. The mod is currently progressing rapidly, so expect regular updates. Please report any bugs you encounter here in the thread. Mod Contains: Full Set of M69 Field Uniforms (VDV), with ranks Ryadovoy to Major. Full set of M69 Barracks Uniforms (VDV), with ranks Ryadovoy to Major. Full set of M69 Uniforms (VMF), with ranks Ryadovoy to Major. RD-54 Desentnik Backpack (With Variations) RD-54 Desentnik Radio (TFAR) RD-54 Backpack Pouches (With Variations) VDV Berets (Officer and Soldier) + VDV Jump Helmet VMF Berets (Officer and Soldier) Steam Workshop Download - 345th Soviet Uniforms Mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1111540071 Steam Workshop Download - Soviet Armed Forces http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=716518271 Dependencies: RHSAFRF and NI Arms AK are required. Credits: Basher (from IFA3 Lite and Soviet Armed Forces Mod) - Basher did all the imports and 90% of the bug fixes. Xeno (from IFA3 Lite and Forgotten Fronts) - 3D models, rigs/skin's and textures. Aleksei - Quality control, texture streamlining and reference models. Staines (345th SGVAR Co-Founder) - Moral support and research (useless ;) ). Thank you to RHS and NI Arms teams for your wonderful weapons.

ArmA:CWA Battle Royale-Need help with crate placement!
Sulon480 posted a topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hi all! I'm a huge fan of this game, so I showed it to some of my friends and they actually bought it. They asked me if I could make some kind of Battle Royale "mission" and I said: Sure! I was like hm.. okay im just gonna place some vehicles and stuff, do some basic triggers and the drop-off plane...WAIT! The crates! So I opened up Chris' OFP Editor (a cool tool which I use to make briefings, scripts, custom crates and stuff) and made like 40 different crate variations with various weapons in it. So I have these crate scripts in my mission folder, they work but I have one problem. I want to sort of "randomize" them. By that, I mean that when I put down a crate in editor it's either "crate1", or "crate2", or "crate3"...and so on until "crate40" Is it possible? Im using - [this] exec "crate1.sqs" - at the weapon crate's init. line to "define" my crate script or however u say it, it's not my native language lol. Anyway, thx for anyone in advance! Peace! 😄 -
Spearpoint: No More Heroes During the cold war the armed forces of the United Kingdom took position as one of the key militaries upholding the defence of the free world. At the tip of the spear was a volunteer army made up of 160,000 personnel across the globe. Spearpoint tells their story. Get it now on Steam Workshop Join the discord Dependency Requires CBA Features UK armed forces mod spanning the era of mid 1960's to mid 1980's, representing all major theatres of combat: The Cold War in Europe, Arctic deployments as per The Falklands conflict, Desert as per the Aden Emergency and Tropical gear befitting Malaya. This initial release focuses on the uniforms, equipment and weaponry of the infantry. A small note This period of British military history involves multiple conflicts which to modern eyes and sensibilities have ethically questionable elements. For the sake of the wider community and perception of this work I would suggest a tactful approach to creating and distributing missions involving these conflicts - Northern Ireland and Aden in particular, but all warfare has ugly moments. The scars of these conflicts are still felt by some, and I do not intend to court that kind of controversy. Thanks to toadie2k for weapon animation tutorials and files. License

Spearpoint Cold War Weapons - Sterling added!
Spearpoint posted a topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Rather than continuing to release Spearpoint as a monolithic mega-mod, I'm breaking it down to enable faster updates and to give players the customisation to create a set up that suits their group (in the same vein as 3CB and others). This post details the weapons packs of this mod. Coming soon: Fully featured FN Fal & more Latest release: L2 Sterling SMG Get it now on Steam Workshop The L2, ubiquitously known as the "Sterling" after its place of manufacture, is a British submachine gun in service with the British Army from 1953 to 1994. Originally developed by George William Patchett during World War II as a replacement for the Sten gun, the Sterling submachine gun enjoyed post-war success both domestically and internationally. It continues to be used by some police and military forces around the world. First release: Lee Enfield No.4 & L42A1 pack Get it now on Steam Workshop Post WW2 the Lee Enfield became one of the most widely available weapons in the world. Cheap, reliable and accurate, it saw use by nations big and small, insurgencies and police forces and more. Want to keep up to date on all Spearpoint releases? Subscribe to the core Spearpoint mod here, all future releases will be added as dependencies. Also, Join the Discord! Credits License -
[EU/NA] The Wrecking Crew - British Infantry Realism
Bosenator posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
The Wrecking Crew The Wrecking Crew is a realism group that prides itself in its dedication to realistic and enjoyable game play, without the rigid aspects like permanent ranks and having to shout "Yes, sir" at a 14 year old. While we play mostly as British Forces to make coherent training possible, we have a whole host of players who come from all over the world, some as far out as Malaysia and South Africa. You select the role you'd like each week for our editor-driven operations, as long as you are competent and prove yourself by passing the required training sessions for that role, with some not requiring any. This allows you to vary from leading a platoon one week to driving a tank the next. The freedom to experience so many different types of game play without hindrance on the co-operation & enjoyability is something you will struggle to find in most other ArmA groups. Public Server If you would like to experience first hand what it's like to play with TWC, come join us on our public server. It runs different dynamic game modes made entirely in-house with a more relaxed game play than in our operations, but it will still give you a good insight in the community and play style. You don't need to sign up to participate on our public server, just the mods and to connect to our TeamSpeak server. We've created an easy to follow guide on how to get connected here. About our Operations Alongside a public server that runs 24/7, the biggest event our group hosts are weekly 'Operations' with between 20 to 40 people. As well as the occasional 'Joint Operation' with other groups which have encompassed up to 70 people total. Our operations span over a century of warfare, with a monthly rotation of World War 2, Cold War, Turn of the Millennium and Modern Operations. This means that in one month you can liberate a French town from Nazi occupation, halt a Soviet mechanised assault in the plains of Northern Germany, brawl with Iraqi armour in the deserts of Kuwait and patrol through the hills of Afghanistan, searching for insurgents. In these operations any recruit or member can play any role as long as he has received the corresponding training. In our operations we strive for maximum realism. We find real-life solutions for problems that we may face in game, while omitting more tedious parts of military duty like saluting, hour-long marches and range etiquette. We aim for the most immersive experience possible by having minimal HUD, first person only, a single life and using ACRE 2 for communications. Our operations take place on Saturday at 18:30 (UK time) and can last up to four hours or more. Interested in trying it out? If you're interested in participating in public, or signing up to try out our operations, you can check out our website for more information: http://www.thewreckingcrew.eu/. Alternatively, you can contact us on Discord, or pop directly onto TeamSpeak where any member will be willing to help you join with no hassle. -
GM RETEXTURES MOD GM is coming out on Monday, and many of the assets used in the DLC historically were shared with other nations in NATO and the Warsaw Pact. I think there is a huge opportunity to greatly expand the scope of nations covered. This mod will aim to expand the scope of GM's content by retexturing items for new, accurate factions, starting with Norway. only dependency planned is the Global Mobilization CDLC. ROADMAP Retexture W. German uniforms for an accurate Norwegian gearset. Retexture W. German uniforms for an accurate Dutch gearset. (may be released in separate addon due to lack non-mod FN FALs) create factions to allow new assets to be used in Zeus and editor. Expand Vehicle Insignia to include historical formations of countries other than East and West Germany. (ex. Norwegian battalions or Polish national emblem) I created a discord to facilitate work on this project, feel free to join at https://discord.gg/Fhsxb3b! At the moment, I'm the only person working on this, and any help would be appreciated. If you have already started or would like to help, comment on this thread or send me a PM!

It is time to make this Project "official", Global-Mobilization (GM) is a a joint venture of the former "GAF" Team (Maverick and Myself) and MBG (Mondkalb). The goal is to deliver a highly detailed environment for cold war combat in central Europe. This includes Aerial Vehicles, Characters, Ground Vehicles, Objects, Weapons and Terrains. GM is by no means intended to be a German Army Addon only, but will focus on the various nations that would have been involved in a 1980s conflict in central Europe. Due to its location in the center of Europe and the "would have been" front line of such a conflict, Germany, both east and west will form the Core of GM. Current Content for RC 1 Vehicles - Leopard 1a1a1 (+variants) - Leopard 1a3 (+variants) - BPz2A1 - Biber - Gepard A1 - MAN 5t gl (+variants) - MAN 10t gl - TPz Fuchs (+variants) - Iltis (+variants) - M113A1 (+variants) - BRDM2 (+variants) - Ural 4320 (+variants) Infantry - West German Army (+equipment) - East German Army (+equipment) Small Arms - G3 (+variants) - MG3 - P1 - P2A1 - Carl Gustaf - Various Handgrenades, Smokeshells and Flares Terrain - 20x20km Terrain of Area in Central Germany (Inner German Border) Misc - German Radio Protocol (8 Voices Studiorecorded) - ACRE SEM25/SEM35 Radio - Bridge Laying - Uniform/Vehicle Customization The Team - GalComT Western Vehicles, Small Arms, Configuration, Feature Design - Maverick Eastern Vehicles, Aerial Vehicles, Water Vehicles - Mondkalb Characters, Terrain, Configuration, Feature Design And last but not least The Pictures!
