Well I'm trying to configure a standard, basic dedicated servcer in G-portal.com, big problem for me, all wiki inisde the portal was in German, i didnt change anything from the server installation, I cant see the server insiode steam launcher, neither a3launcher, cant connect using direct connection, not sure if i need to do anything else. Are someone here that use G-portal as server host, to give us a hand and help? Regards
  2. We are currently working on a server/mod with our own map based on ArmanIIl's "Chernobyl Zone", with several additions. They include expanding the playable zone up to authentic "Stalker" map, with locations created to fit both original game style and to be compatible with Arma mechanics. The server is also going to see a major change in roleplay system rules, relying on autonomous events chain, more advanced faction war, reworked gear, reworked anomalies, and the list will grow as we progress through development. Although we are developing the server/mod for russian community mainly, we are also interested in multinational community, in roleplay purposes particulary. Because of this we need to know if people are interested in our work, as we are planning to have a NATO faction on our server, and would like it to be populated with english-speaking players. The server itself will be hosted most probably on an European hosting, so you dont need to worry for ping. Also, if you have some ideas that you would like to implement, like custom factions, custom locations, you are free to share your thoughts. If we reach a certain level of participants, i will announce the server lauch when the time comes, for all who submitted. Server E.T.A. is 2-3 months.
  3. Hello recently have bought a server from gamingdeluxe and well yeah mission files in and the idea was that i have set mods always essential and a set of mods optional. However when i add the mods into the command line that i want essential. some of them stay as optional. is there anyway i can literally FORCE the server to load these mods. my command line looks like this (-enableHT "-name=Arma3" "-profiles=instance" "-cfg=instance\basic.cfg" "-config=instance\server.cfg" "-bepath=D:\xxgames\TylerB\18571\battleye" -ip=81.19.208.17 -port=2300 "-mod=@CBA_A3;@ACE3;@ACEX;@RHSUSAF;@RHSAFRF" -autoinit) however any other mod i add to this command line does not appear as forced by the server. Yes the mod's is in the root directory of the server yes the keys are correct and in the right folder. verify signiture is on V2 Battleye is ON Its a custom mission using rhs etc i want to add the following to the command line to make ESSENTIAL --> splendid smoke backpackonchest tfar beta vsm all in one however when these are in the command line.. the launcher screen either says "no mods required by server" or they arnt forced and listed only as optional. PS. im not like advanced at this but i think what i have done is correct.

Since, as far as I am Aware of, ArmA 3 Admin Debug Console has been deactivated for every Public Community Server, People who actually take the time to do Public Zeus, are in a pretty bad Situation right now. With the Debug Console disabled, many Things are missing. That would be, and just some of them: No ability to let Units surrender anymore. No Virtual Arsenals (the ones where you don't have to manually select everything) Many more Modules missing. Look, I understand that the Debug Console got abused heavily by some People. But I don't want it back. I want a massive update to Zeus, perhaps fully integrating the Ares/Achilles Mod (unsure which one is better, I usually only Public Zeus), but from what I've seen in Videos and such (and also a personal test some time ago, with one of them), which was so much easier, and so much more fun to use. Look BI, I'm unsure if you'll read this thread, or even do anything. But if you do, me and many other Public Zeus would love you. It would also make potential entry for new guys, when they join a Zeus Server as Infantry, way more fluid, and easier to understand. Adding all this would definetly also make Public Zeus more popular. So if you would do so, probably think of adding a few more Servers, so there is actually a Chance for People to make Scenarios. Also please, just add everything from the Ares / Achilles Mod, if it is in your own Code, or if you just take it from the Workshop. Or atleast add the good modules to it, stuff like adding your own compositions, both in AI and Buildings etc.

Server spec: Xeon X5675 2 cores 8GB Ram 100Mbps connection Windows Server 2008 R2 Windows Firewall is close Mission config: 45 players slots based on Malden map, add couple of stuff such like:helicopter, building, vehicle, jet craft. Mods: ACE CBA Red Hammer MCC 4 3CB Equipment TADST performance setting: Maxmsgsend 768 MaxSizeGuaranteed 800 MaxSizeNonguaranteed 400 Maxbandwidth: 100mbit/s Minbandwidth: 1280kbit/s MinErrorToSend=0.004; MinErrorToSendNear=0.04 Maximum Custom File Size=240KB maxPacketSize=2000 HT is Enalbed The first problem is about client connection, few users are stock at “ loading missiong data” screen, the loading bar is stop, even no one is in the server, they just can’t pass the loading progress. Some one can change the player slot to sovle it, but 2-3 guys are never success. Second is about lag, after learned this subject:https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/147591-tutorial-server-bandwidth-optimisation/, I figure out our server can carry at least 64 player above. But when the player number overtake 20, all players get serious lag in the server. I think it’s not about Mods part, We have another server has same Mods, it's have no connection issue, but that one has just only 20Mbps banwidth, so 20 players will cause to lag. I really have no idea for it, anyone can help for this?

  9. Hi there. I have yet another Server problem. If we play on a server and we for example kill a lot of AIs or similar, the server freezes. No, its not clients. WE see each other walking in one place and.. well.. the server is frozen. No response from arma3 process, can login to putty normally. HTOP shows 100% cap on arma3 proccess, however normally it "flows" between cores. Stuck. Can share logs, however there is nothing in them at the time of the crash. As if the whole proccess is frozen. anyone got ideas? Thanks in beforehand.

Hello right ive been able to do the zeus for #AdminLogged however i also want to try and get a slot active for a member of the public without admin rights. ive tried the classic variable name job but that actually doesn't work. I know there is the GUID but im not going to know a random member of the public's UID. it works on the editor and local host but not dedicated. any ideas? thanks in advance ps. I am using TADST tool and the arma 3 server tool. and the curator mod is ticked

    New Frame Drops

    Today I was playing Arma 3 on a multiplayer and surprisingly enough, for Arma, I was averaging around 50+ fps. My graphics were not on ultra and my view distance wasn't ridiculous but it was at a perfect sweetspot. Later during my play, I went into the settings to configure a few things, and when I did so I accidentally clicked one of the Arma presets for graphics, I believe low. And ever since that I have been receiving constant frame drops, I thought it was just multiplayer but after trying Single-player it did the same thing. Before this I would use lower graphics for multiplayer and run fine, and for my own single play, I would use all Ultra with any sort of post processing set to max. But I don't understand why after that accident, it wont go back to normal even after setting the graphics to where they were before. I have a GTX1050ti and a i5-4690 3.5Ghz. While not the best it works, generally. Anyone have anything similar happen or know any fixes? Thank you.

    Arma 3 - Dedicated Server Problem

    I had a problem for about three days. I downloaded the "ARMA 3 SERVER" tool normally, I also downloaded the application to easily manage the "TADST v3.1.0" server configurations, put it in the Arma 3 Server folder as it teaches, I opened the ports on router 2302, 2303, 2304, 2305, 2306 and other necessary doors, I opened up too many doors, my "UPNP" is enable. But whenever I start the "dedicated server" it appears in my "ARMA 3 LAUNCHER" on the "RECENT" tab, but when I look in the "INTERNET" tab it does not appear. My friends have tried direct connection, searching in the search box and nothing, just does not appear to them the server. I've already tried disabling the "FIREWALL" completely, I already tried it in virtual marking with "WINDOWS SERVER 2012 R2" and nothing, just appears in the "RECENT", wanted to know if there is any solution to my problem, because all places say the same thing about opening ports or disabling the Windows firewall.My internet provider follows the "PPPOE" system, does it influence anything?   13. hello, since tanks DLC seems that usual randomization no longer works on dedicated server! if i run the same mission from editor, it randomize correctly, but on dedicated, it does not! all offroads are red, all hatchbacks are white ecc... any idea whats wrong and how fix it ? thanks!

  18. Hey guys, Don't know if this is in the correct forum, if it's not I do apologize. Anyways, I and my unit have switched over from session per session basis missions to a full-on ALiVE campaign, we had a game server and we ran ALiVE with no problem, it was using about 6GB of memory with quite a large amount of vAI, around 250-300 total. Now we switched to a server box in order to have more space on our server and more flexibility. Now here comes the problem, little test missions we did were fine and now we're stuck at launching our ALiVE campaign. We've tried adding -MaxMem to the extra parameters on TADST which we use to launch the server but it did not work. We are capped at about 4GB of memory no matter how hard we try pushing it, our server box is 64 bit, we use the 64-bit .exe to launch the server, and we have about 24GB of RAM on our server box because we host our TeamSpeak and the rest there. My question is how do we get rid of this cap, we are using 20% of our server box capacity, there is a way since the game server we rented had 16GB and had no problem of going up to 7GB of memory being used on large campaigns. If you need any more information about our server or setup feel free to ask we just need to get this sorted, its causing issues and making our favorite game mode, quite unenjoyable. Thank you all in advance to those who respond. EDIT: We believe that this, in fact, causes the delay in any actions happening, whether it is us trying to hit the AI, people's guns are shooting long after they actually stopped, and sometimes people just de-sync. Despite the 120-140ms ping for most of our members (due to the distance of the server from us) we strongly do believe that the issue is down to the capped RAM, since once it goes up it is literally stuck at 4,403.53MB and it moves maybe by .20MB here and there. We also believe that it is due to the capped RAM because once the server reaches the cap, is when the delay and other issues happen. Or at least, we need to test if it is indeed the RAM before we request anything from our provider, but a cap definitely exists.

  21. I;ve setten up a basic sector controll gamemode with 7 sectors and 3 spawn points for AI for bouth factions. Infantry, Motorized/Mechanized and armored. Problem occures when they spawn. They dont get the waypoint to attack a sector. I have everything set uip all modules down including the Spawn AI: Sector Tactics and heres the weird part. When i test it from the Eden Editor or when im hosting the game it works fine, but when i send it to my server and set it as a mission on it, it doesnt work. I've tried changing the location of the Sector tactic module, connecting it to sectors, to spawn AI modules, leaving it as it is not connected ot anything, nut nothing. Is there a server setting that could be interfeiring with the module or is it something wrong with the mission? Thanks.
  22. ***EDIT: Issue resolved, Server owner managed to fix the issue with reading my GUID being corrupted somehow litterally 30 minutes after i posted this** For several days now, When attempting to join my milsim group's server I keep getting kicked and recieving the message "Battleeye: Client not responding". I have literally tried everything to fix this problem. 1. Verifying game files 2. Joining with only required mods 3. Disabling firewall and resetiing router 4. Deleting all battleeye content from PC in Appdata and Program files and verifying to reacquire missing files 4. Twice now i have uninstalled Steam and Arma 3, unsubcribing from all mods and redownloading mods. 5. Deleting all profile data and using new ones I can join the server but after about 30 seconds to a minute i get kicked and I honestly don't know what else to do. However this may have been casued by me resetting my PC two days before I began seeing these issues So i don't know if that is the problem. Could it be a problem with the server itself not reading my batteye stuff correctly, or something similar? I am in contact with the server owner if this is this case. If anyone thinks they have a solution please help!
  23. I have been hosting non dedicated servers for me and my friends to mess around on and sometimes do coop missions since I pretty much bought the game a few years ago. Now from what they describe some people, so far only two they get past role selection and they select a spawn point then they are stuck at a loading screen. The strange thing is they can move around, aim and can hear their surroundings. This started about a week ago and I'll list the things I've already done to fix it below. - Friends restarted arma, no success. - Change their mod load order to mine, no success. - Tried to play a completely fresh mission, no success. - Ports not open, impossible if other people can join except these two, I double checked anyways I have 2302 to 2305 open. No success. My guess is it could be a mod or battle eye but I haven't changed anything or added any mods for a few months and this weird problem started happening a week ago. I would appreciate any help.

Life Roleplay Erie County First of we would like to say no we are not the best Life server i'm not going to lie we are a straight up honest community, Our team has put in a lot of time, effort and dedication into the server to make it fun for you. We have a great team of staff that have a good partnership with the players and the community. We spent a lot of time on documentation to minimize error and misunderstanding. We spent even more time implementing the scripts, mods and all the objects around the map. The community's future all depends on its players without roleplay it isn't going to be a very good server therefore we enforce Roleplay to a mass degree and every member that returns will start to spread the word and bring even more experience and knowledge to the community At the moment our community is using Mods these mods provide better material to have better roleplay some of these can be realistic guns like M16A4 and cars like a Ferrari, they add a much more realism effect to the community. Willst du trotzdem das taktische Milsim Vorgehen nicht vermissen? Die familiäre ZEW Runde könnte dir gefallen. Hier steht die gemütliche und spaßige Mission im Vordergrund. Wir betrachten ArmA nach wie vor als Spiel liefern aber eine grundlegend befriedigende taktische Erfahrung. Einmal pro Woche werden hier entweder dynamische Zeus Missionen von unseren herzlichen Gamemaster geleitet, welcher bereits viele tausend Stunden Erfahrung mitbringt. Oder es kommt zu einer vollkommen durchgescripteten Kampagnenmission die in dutzenden Stunden arbeit speziell von unseren Content-Creator vorbereitet werden. Hierbei lehnen wir uns Ausrüstungstechnisch an den US-Streitkräften an und versuchen dieses Paket realistisch wie möglich auf unsere Truppe zu verteilen.
