For maps like the vanilla ones when there's enough ocean to place the USS Freedom & USS Liberty from the Jets DLC, I think it would be great to have a high quality vanilla remake of the A2/CUP LHD and an LPD with functional doors like the destroyer, so that way people have more options for mission design & deployment positions, versus just being on a different side of an island as the enemy. Also a vanilla option would help prevent clipping through the floor. It would be a good way to introduce the Marines into the A3 story and it wouldn't really need a campaign or any new assets to accompany it as it could be explained that all branches field MultiCam uniforms in this universe and the Marines use the vanilla HK416 while the army uses the vanilla ACR clone.

Henriksson posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
The 81st Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) is made up of two different units who merged into a single one. There is the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, the large main force of the unit, and then there is Force Reconnaissance who are smaller than the 11th MEU but conduct special missions. In order to join you must be: Professional and mature approach to duties. Team-oriented yet self-reliant. Open to challenges and an endless drive for perfection and excellence. Be at least 13+ years old. (exceptions can be made if maturity is shown) Keen to learn new things. Have a working microphone. 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit The 11th MEU is the backbone of the unit. They make up the majority of the unit. Infantry operate using HMMWVs with mounted weaponry such as M2s and MK19s but also work together with the aviation section to complete their objective. There are a variety of roles for the infantry placed into several squads that are divided into three fire teams and a command team each. Force Reconnaissance The reconnaissance element conducts special operations that require a small specialized force. Their organization and equipment varies depending on operation and how many personnel they have at their disposal. Aviation The aviation section is one of the most important parts of the unit, they work together with the infantry in operations to accomplish the mission at hand. They do tasks such as reconnaissance, close air support and transport. https://discord.com/invite/vBMPWAmtMx Schedule February - 20th Operation February - 27th Operation March 6th - Operation March 13th - BCT/Training March 20th - Off Week March 27th - Operation Schedule will be updated further ahead. A.J.A.X 2035 : Gear and Uniforms Expansion
CommanderCharms posted a topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
ArmA III strongly seems to lack expansive 2035-style expansions on vanilla content. It has been my dream to fill that gap with a mix of my own ideas and ideas brought forward by many avid fans of the BLUFOR 2035 setting. After five years, I started work on this project in November 2019, with the irreplaceable aid given to me by renowned mod authors responsible for the likes of the CSAT Modification Project, Community Upgrade Project, the unofficial Aegis expansion, and more. If you have requests for what you'd like to see in this mod, please note that if the uniform/vest/gear type isn't in the mod presently, I likely won't be able to make any texture edits until I add them into the mod. Thanks for the continued support, and I hope you enjoy the mod! -

105th Marines Division [US/EU] [105MD]
Michael Scarlatti posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
- Introduction The "105th Marine Division" is a new unit within the Arma III community. We're a community that focuses on large scale operations while having a few side operations currently on the map of Tanoa, but we do plan to move on to others. As for a realism level we choose not to define a specific one; but, rather focus on three core principles. 1. Communication - Communicating effectively with clear, concise position reports. We do not enforce any specific format like "Over" and "Out"; more like "Who you are talking to, Who you are, What do you want?" If it's reporting a contact then the quickest way you are comfortable with. Also being honest follows in communication. If you have a problem then say it, we will never slap people on the wrist because they have to land a chopper in the middle of the ocean preferable with sharks & SEALS because they have to go AFK. 2. Respect - As in respect other(s) no matter race, gender, age, ethnicity, background, religion, and most importantly yourself! 3. Motivation - Be motivated to learn, contribute, preform, and execute a given goal or objective. - Required Programs and Modifications Steam Mod(s): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1770279726 Team Speak 3: https://www.teamspeak.com/ - How to Join 1. Background Information Carrier Strike Group 15 (CSG-15) is a US Navy/Marine unit (28th MEU). We are currently looking for dedicated individuals who can put time and effort into our unit. We are a bit more laid back than some units, and also have many available positions, such as Pilots, Ship Crewmen, Regular Infantry, etc. Getting in is as simple as a brief interview to try to gauge out your experience with ArmA and other units, and to try to figure out where you'd fit in best. Furthermore, there is plenty of room for advancement. Generally, we run Ops every Saturday @ 5 PM EST. We frequently run ops on Sundays as well, training on Fridays, and we run events throughout the week (not necessarily ops) as member availability permits. Requirements Must have a working mic. Must speak fluent English. Must have TS3. Ability and willingness to download our Workshop collection. What makes us different? No obligations to attend every OP, however, we do appreciate people who show dedication. The Sahrani Campaign: Wild Weasel - USMC Aviation
REFORGER88 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - USER MISSIONS
DESCRIPTION: In the first of a planned series of scenarios, take part in the first phase of the US 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit's campaign to liberate Sahrani. As a USMC aviator aboard the Khe Sanh LHD, provide support for Marine heli-borne infantry from the cockpit of your AV-8B Harrier II V/STOL aircraft. If you enjoy it, despise it, or have criticisms/comments, please do let me know! In the end my goal is to become a better, more well-rounded mission maker, and to provide fun content to the ArmA community. LINK: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=945008166 FLAVOR TEXT: After the fall of the Soviet Union and the global threat of Communism in the early 1990s, many former puppet states of the Kremlin found themselves without a supervisory global force to guide their development. For the small island nation of Sahrani, this has proven particularly troublesome. In 1993, the Communist government crumbled without Soviet economic and military support. It wasn’t until 2003, when the Sahrani government appealed to the Russian Federation for assistance, that the US began negotiations to provide aid to the island nation. Incensed, the pro-Russian majority in the Northern region of Sahrani attempted to overtake the South, where the seat of government resided. Despite a majority of the Sahrani Defense Force’s assets being stationed in the North, the attempted rebellion was quashed in short order by the US Army’s Rapid Reaction Force. Shortly thereafter, a UN Accord forced the US and Russia both to forgo further intervention in Sahrani’s affairs. In 2008, Russia violates the accords by sending first military equipment and advisors, and then Military Maritime Fleet infantry garrisons to the North. In an effort to dissuade further Russian involvement in Sahrani’s affairs, the UN passes a Resolution forbidding any further involvement with the Sahrani government or risk facing economic sanctions. Not long after these developments, a military junta seizes power from the legitimate government, and the capitol in the South is overrun and demolished by pro-Russian military hardliners. The newly christened Sahrani Liberation Army claims to be in control of Sahrani. NATO (European) Reaction Corps [Milsim] [Recruiting]
Bulajunior14 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
NATO (European) Reaction Corps is a English Speaking Multinational Unit Playing Arma to a Milsim standard, with a truly International Feel. NATO(E)RC was formed in September of 2016 by a group of people who have been in the Arma community for many years. Born from 3 main reasons. 1. Frustration of the wider arma community who seemed hugely opposed to co-operation and hostile to other units. 2. The Idea that Modern warfare would no longer be individual nations but rather coalition based. 3. Honestly Half of us were Swedish, the other half British and we couldn't decide a nation to become. What started as an experiment has become a highly successful venture. From originally 4 guys the battle group now boasts an average of around 40 People attending operations with a rate of attendance of roughly 83% of all those on the roster. As a community we emphasis co-operation, Teamwork, Discipline and banter as core aims. Operations are Sundays at 8PM GMT, With individual National Training's taking place on a variety of days. Unit Composition Commander of the unit is Maj. E. Hawkins (1RRF) and XO Lt. P. Knez (P4). The main command is made up of a NCO from each unit to ensure all units have an equal say within the battlegroup. Units are formed into 2 Categories; Main and Secondary. Main Detachments are Infantry that are well established within the battlegroup. Secondary are supporting arms and newer units. The Two founder units are 1st Battalion Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and P4 Skaraborg Regiment. Main 1st Battalion Royal Regiment of Fusiliers - British Armored Infantry P4 Skaraborg Regiment - Swedish Mechanized Infantry 2nd Battalion 8th Marines - US Marine Corps Infantry Secondary Combined Air Wing - Multinational Fixed and Rotary Wing Air Assets Irish Guards - British Light Infantry Recce Platoon Fallschirmjägerregiment 31 - German Airborne Infantry Joining The Battlegroup The Battlegroup is not looking for any new detachments at the moment but is all open to talks to other existing units within the Arma community. Each unit provides its own recruit training to ensure all their members can complete missions with a high degree of efficiency. The Combined Air Wing will not allow inital entry recruits, all its members must of spent at least a month in a unit already and have reached a rank equal to OR-2. General Requirements 16+ (Exceptions may be made and a Detachment IC's Discretion) Speak English Have a Mic and Teamspeak Willing to Download Mods Wanting to play in a Milsim Environment Can Take a Joke There is something for everyone in the NATO(E)RC whether you want to be part of a face paced aggressive force or want to carefully plan out and execute missions. OVERVIEW FORECON is a North American-based milsim unit modeled after Marine Force Reconnaissance. The unit operates on Pacific Standard Time, but we have members all over North America. The mission of FORECON is to provide the MAGTF (Marine Air-Ground Task Force) with military intelligence. FORECON conducts Green Operations (deep reconnaissance) to gather intelligence, and Black Operations (direct action) to conduct offensive strikes, often with aid of MAGTF resources. Our unit consists of the following elements: Reconnaissance Platoon Rotary Detachment TECOM Element TECOM (Training & Education Command) members will often times play the role of a High-Value Target, VIP, or OPFOR during operations. This Element is ideal for those who prefer a variety of roles and equipment with a unit experience. We conduct training for new recruits and for players seeking to specialize in a MOS. Operations and campaign missions are organized weekly. For example, the Reconnaissance Man Pipeline is as follows: Basic Reconnaissance Course Combatant Diver Course Military Free Fall SERE Courses from SOTG (Special Operations Training Group) OPERATIONS Operations are conducted weekly on Sundays at 6:00 PM Pacific.
