  1. I know I'm damn late with this announcement, but somehow we missed the official forums ;) news has been in Arma 3 Events and All about A3 facebook groups & my twitter.   2. Hello, I need some help with this. I want to save a players position, loadout and maybe group when a player leaves the server. As we have some problems with people crashing or having IP resets or just needing to restart, this would be really neat. I looked at onPlayerDisonnected and the EH PlayerDisconnected, but I don't really know where to save the data, and how to get the position. Any help would be appreciated! -Dj
  3. 1. I wonder if it is possible to place Spawned AI from Spawn AI module under high command control? I want to make a sector control scenario for which command get to control spawned units. 2. Also, if a unit is dead, the high command function is lost. If this is possible to achieve?

  6. I am trying to create a cutscene where a crate is dropped from the air. I use this crate as an 'actor' for the cutscene and delete it after it has served its purpose, after which I just simply have a second crate setup for the actual objective So far everything has been setup right, exepct for the parachute. Which doesnt seem to work properly on a dedicated server The way I have currently set it up is via a series of triggers. First I enable the simulation, unhide it and set its position using the SetPos command Then I proceed to add the parachute using this code: para1 = "B_parachute_02_F" createVehicle [0,0,0]; para1 setPosASL (getPosASL crate1); crate1 attachTo [para1, [0, 0, 0]]; para1 enablesimulation false; Now this seems to work fine in singleplayer, but on a dedicated server it either creates 2 parachutes or it puts the crate in the corner of the map, its really wierd and unreliable Any suggestions?

  8. Hi, I'm kinda new to the whole editing missions thing, so I've been using the RESPAWN ON DEATH option in all of my missions. I wish to improve that, so I wanna make it so SQUAD A could respawn on any of HIS squadmates, and SQUAD B could respawn on any of HIS squadmates, but SQUAD A can't respawn on SQUAD B. I found out how to let players respawn on other players but how can I restrict a player to respawn only at certain respawn positions? Thanks for any replies!

    UNSUNG Echo Liberation

  10. All I need is to make this script repeatable so when it is done "Downloading" it'll reset and you can keep downloading it again and again. LOL.. yeah.. always wanted to do something like that.. anyway, This is a mission I made based of "Heliborne" with focus on only ground support. Wanted the game with an Arma 3 flight model, so this is what I came out with. A project made out of fun, but I thought it would be fun so I decided to put in the workshop. I wanted to play Heliborne but I was looking for something closer to Arma 3's flight model and also wanted an actual reason to transport units and land them, rather than the usual heli-taxi mission you see made in the community. (Not because that's what the waypoint says, but because you have to insert the troops there to maybe flank or capture the sector faster.) So Birdy Wars is what came out of that desire. (I ended up focusing on this so much more than actually learning how to fly the helicopter though... (Off by Default) Some Screens. Roadmap(Might sound a bit too massive though, lol) - Better Clean-up system - AI polishing. (Not like FFIS or bcombat, but just how the AI's waypoints is being decided.) - Limitations of different features to prevent overuse/server crash. Nonetheless, I do hope you had fun! Also, please do comment in regards to possible bugs so I can try to solve it as there is a limit to how much I can search and find with a single brain. So, i have seen that some missions have a Virtual Arsenal in which there are already some set loadouts, for example, when you get close to it you will get the "Arsenal" option on the mouse wheel menu, but also sometimes you'll find things like "Rifleman"; "AT Soldier", "Pilot" and such, when you select any of them you get a loadout given by the server (not the ones you have saved). I'm trying to do this but i can't get it to work, i know how to export a certain loadout to a text file or to another unit but i have no idea how to make it like that. NOTE: I do use CBA_A3 and ACE mods but i guess there should be no problem with that as long as the players joining the server have them as well.

    unplayable multiplayer issue

    My specs: GPU: gtx 765m CPU: i7 4700 @ 2.4 ghz RAM: 16gb windows 10 I have played about 800 hours of ARMA 3 both online and ofline and have had great, fun gameplay with no issues. suddenly within the last 2 week any online servers I join I get about 9 fps up to 15 peak, which is not playable. Ofline I get 50+ fps. This shouldn't be a settings issue or a server issue seeing as though i have play 800 hours without an issue and have tested mulitple servers. Things I have tried: -PC resets. -game cache check. -disabling mcafee virus protection and real time scanning. -uninstalled mcafee and disabling windows firewall. -tried multiple servers (all extreme low fps). -lowing settings to everything as low as possible (no increase in fps online). -I have no other issues in any other games online or offline. -searched the internet for someone that has fixed this, most that have had a matching issued said it was there virus scanner. -cpu and gpu dont seem to be showing any signs of havning an issue. Im completely out of ideas.

  17. Hey there everyone, I have been trying to hack away at this issue I have, with no end in sight. Maybe one of you can help.... So I have a multiplayer mission set up. There are two teams (Alpha and Bravo). Both teams have to go to a table to be briefed before the mission. Alpha team leader is owner to 3 triggers, while Bravo team leader owns 3 separate triggers. The triggers display subtitles, specific for each team. The issue I keep having is Alpha teams subtitles show up when Bravo team leader goes near the trigger and vise versa. Both teams' subtitles show up for one unit. I have the mission set up to where if you pick Bravo team, Alpha does not spawn, and the other way around. Is there a way to only spawn a trigger when a unit is present, like the "!alive obj" for condition of presence? I would love to get this fixed so I can finish this mission, and my friends can try it without being confused on which mission they are doing. I know it may seem confusing.. This is my first time posting a question in here, and I'm not the best with explaining things. But if you happen to decipher my gibberish, please let me know if you know of a solution!!! Thanks
  18. Yes one problem solved and now on to another... Go to host a multiplayer game, change it from LAN to Internet, put my password in, change to 4 players, and check UnPn (or whatever it is) and then click "Host server" ... Nothing.. Game freezes to where you have to Clt Alt Del out of the game. There is not issue with a LAN game, but really want the Internet to work. I do not have port fowarding setup as never needed it before. Haven't been able to play an Internet MP game since.. yep, the 64bit update (same as other post).... I marked all Arma 3 files Allow on the firewall... Do I really need to setup up port fowarding for Arma and Steam?? Thank you !!!!

Hi, for a few months my game has been broken.. which is shitty since i paid for the game and all the dlc's. it happend from one day to the other.. no changes or new mods installed or anything.. whenever i join servers, it says connection failed. whenever i try to host it loads for a sec, then it goes back to server browser. when i host through eden, game crashes. No errors at any time.. which is weird. tried with or without mods.. reinstalled 100%, removed/unsubbed all mods and manually deleted ALL arma 3 related files for a Fresh reinstall... still doesn't work my rig aint the problem, i have a top of the line BEAST of a gaming rig.. all new parts and 150FPS+ in most new games. All my software and drivers are up to date. HEEEEEELP O.o

    Arma 3 Liberation Variations

    Hello Bohemia, Over the last week I have been working on the KillaPotatoes Liberation Gamemode made available here: I am using the most current edition of v9.60 and converted the mission to allow for both a Vietnam and Halo based missions. Vietnam: Halo: Each mission profile is set to be persistant and challenging with all mods required on the steam workshop page posted and links on how to get mods. I don't have access to a dedicated server of my own but I have tested the missions as best I could through LAN hosting.   21. I have recorded a unitplay on a car, the car is driven by an IA and the AI (variable name = pilot) will drive the players around. I do know that engineOn only works "where the unit is local" (I'm still a little bit confused about what this means exactly). The engineOn command does work but the engine stops itself after a while, i have tried this: if (local vehicle pilot) then {dummycar engineon true;}; to no avail. How would you go about it? On a side note: how would you go about to have the car's wheels rolling when playing the unitplay (they are still at the moment). I have tested the above mentioned both on my team's server and on my computer.

The unit is based on a semi-fake story, nothing that is said is true and does not reflect the real life, the stories are based on what is happening but are dynamic and what the players do matters, creating a timeline of sorts.     Public server trolling

    Zues is an amazing idea and i love tgat it has public official servers but the thing that absolutely breaks it for everyone are the trolls, eitger people who just want to ruin the game for others or people who have no interest at all in the tactical and strategic aspects of Arma. While admins do have the power to kick players and players can also vote to kick thia does not stop particularly determined trolls from coming back immediately after being kicked, now thus leaves few options, the admin has to stop playing the game to continually kick out a troll player, the players have to kill the troll each time he spawns or the zues/moderator has to closely watch the troll ensuring he doesnt do anything, all of these things pull someone out of immersion for an extended period of time, now i have been admin before and i generally kick for racist comments or excessive team killing just so you all have an idea of the type of people im talking about, if im unlucky after kicking that player for the next ten minutes i have to repeatedly kick this player each time he joins back, now i've let players join back after kicking them and the usual thing that happens is either extreme disrespect to me and or zues/mod or shooting everyone and inciting others to do the same. I feel the fix to this is extremely simple though and it eludes me to why it already isnt in place, if there was a ban time that makes it unable for a player who is kicked to rejoin for say 5-10 minutes this would discourage trolling and make it easier on all players involved, admins wont have to worry about needing to kick a player repetedy and zues could carry on with missions, now this doesn't even have to be an admin power, it could be done through a vote. Even if it is done through a vote that still better than nothing, as of right now trolls have free reighn on public zues servers and constantly succeed in slowing down interupting or even stopping gameplay altogether. There needs to be some way to counter this or else public zues servers will continue to have a bad name. Thank you for your time Newt
