  1. Hi i'm making an helicopter (i'm not going to release it on armaholic on whatever site) I'm having problems with the rudder animations. (i've tested the animations with the command "animate") What i've done : I have set the "source" in the model.cfg for these animations to "rudderRTD" but nothing appens I have created a script that converts the pressure of the "Q" key ( the default rudder key) into the animation of the 2 rotors but and also here nothing appens.   2. When you walk on top of a burning campfire, there are those red borders that appear around the screen. They stay on permanently after walking away, even if you get treated or call "player setDamage 0" http://i.imgur.com/5tZIiNG.png The associated PP effect is "BIS_HitCC"

Hello, I'm developing an airborne mission for my group, basically the guys (Two fire-team consisting of four members each, named A1, A2, A3, A4, B1, B2, B3, B4) spawn in an C-130 and parachute into the A.O. The problem is, I need them to have their backpacks when they land, so they have enough ammo and equipment to complete the mission, so I came up with this Idea, a trigger executing a script for each unit, the script will wait until they land and then add backpacks and equipment into it. The C-130 will enter the trigger area with the team onboard. These are the trigger's specs: ACTIVATION: BLUFOR ACTIVATION TYPE: PRESENT CONDITION: this && isServer ON ACT: para1 = [] execvm "scripts\backpack\A1.sqf"; para2 = [] execvm "scripts\backpack\A2.sqf"; para3 = [] execvm "scripts\backpack\A3.sqf"; para4 = [] execvm "scripts\backpack\A4.sqf"; para5 = [] execvm "scripts\backpack\B1.sqf"; para6 = [] execvm "scripts\backpack\B2.sqf"; para7 = [] execvm "scripts\backpack\B3.sqf"; para8 = [] execvm "scripts\backpack\B4.sqf"; Now this is the A1.sqf script: I tested it and it worked great, except when I tested it in a multiplayer server (I hosted it locally), I got in as unit A1. When I landed, the script worked and the parachute got replaced by the backpack and the defined contents, however it didn't work for the other player, their parachutes didn't get replaced by the intended backpacks, At first I thought I could've screwed the script for their units, so I restarted the mission and got in as another unit (A2), as some of you guys may imagine, I got my backpack just fine, but the other players didn't, not even the unit I just tested (A1). I tested all the other units and it worked great when I was playing as them, but no one else got their backpacks. As you guys probably know, I think I fucked up the locality of the script execution, not sure how, could any of you guys enlighten me as how to make this thing work? We usually use conventional hosting (through the game Multiplayer menu) and Dedicated hosting, so it would need to be something that works for both. Thanks in advance!

  8. Hey everyone, so here's the problem. My girlfriend and I bought ourselves new mouses the "KingTop C-12 Zelotes" both the same. We got 12 Buttons on it in total. Of course Left Click + RIght Click etc. How ever Button 12 is tripple fire(Basicly 3 mouse clicks). All of these work fine but, button 4-9 won't work. We tried to setup with the ArmA 3 controls, tried to switch all of it to macros, ArmA won't react. Does anyone have an idea or may actually a solution? We do have this is problem in some other games, but in some they do work, so that's why I guess it's a problem by the game or basicly not completly supported. Thanks in advance! Regards, Clappingon
  9. Who are we?- We are a milsim group in Arma 3 founded by a core group of friends that have been together for years now. We pride ourselves in our ability to create a serious and structured environment, while also still goofing around and having fun with Arma 3. We base ourselves mainly off of the real Rangers from the USA, with alterations to accept Arma as a platform. Our mods will be given to you once you have been accepted as a recruit. We use steam workshop, I have specially compiled all our mods into a convenient modpack for ease of use. What are our events?- We have a selection of events. Campaign Main Ops, Side Ops, Trainings, and Practice ops. Campaign Main Ops- Our only mandatory event is every Friday at 6pm EST. The campaigns are what our unit is designed for. This is where we are at our fullest, and most serious. The Campaigns are based on a map, and have its own story. Each op is persistent, so your choices and actions matter in the later ops. We will always be Rangers in these ops. Side Ops- Side ops are fully optional, and not scheduled. These are less serious, but still require people to adhere to our rules. We could be the french, british, germans, anything in our modpack we can be in side ops. Trainings- We split our trainings into phase one and phase two. All trainings are on every Sunday at 1pm EST. As a recruit, you can not come to any op until you have done at least a phase one. Once you completed phase one, you may come to side ops. Once you have completed phase two, you are a full member and may come to any op. Practice Ops- Practice ops are designed to be the same as a campaign op, but no campaign attached to it. These are for people who want to pratice their leading skills, machine gun capability, etc. Practice ops are mainly for us to train future Fire Team Leaders, and possible Squad Leaders.   10. Over the past 7 years, Arma has been my go-to game. I have accumulated thousands of hours of gameplay, and created a great deal of mission based content. Over these 7 years I've been a part of numerous variations of these game modes. I've seen what works and what doesn't. I've edited their mission files. I've even been a senior developer for many of these communities. In the past few weeks, I began working on my own variation, from scratch. It's focused on quality over quantity. And so far it's good. Now I could do this on my own, but I want help. I want to make this something great. So, basically... Help Wanted: 1 Specialized Scripter 1 Person Specialized in UI 1 Specialized Texturer 1 Specialize Modeler The Mission: Create, from the ground up, the most immersive and fun Role Playing Mod out there. Features: There are a several key features that make this mod unique. One being ACE 3 implementation. ACE will be a huge part of this mod, whether it's EMS actually having to do something or if it's logistic. Another thing this allows us to get rid of it massive amounts of over-scripting. Most Life communities have massive amounts of scripts and mods for absolutely no reason, which causes performance to suffer. ACE mod comes with great functionality, including vehicle cargo, handcuffs, a medical system, vehicle keys, and much much more. A goal for persistence is to create actual physical garages in houses or in buildings, where vehicles will be persistent, as well as boxes in homes. Plus much more...   14. Size: 5120x5120 Hello everyone, I'm currently working on a "small" terrain based on the city of Haditha (Al-Anbar Governorate, Iraq), which is situated next to the Euphrates river. It features real (?) elevation data and satellite imagery, a little portion of the Euphrates river, various small villages and the city centre. Haditha is currently very wip and I don't know when it'll be finished, but I surely know that it will, somehow. I'm trying to make this terrain as realistic as possible and, possibly, decent enough to be hosted on the holy site of Armaholic so... feel free to criticize my work, suggestions are always welcomed. Hello, I just bought arma 3 and i started playing the campain and everything was fine but then when i went into the multiplayer i joined a server and lost all the sound (menu music, sfx ...) i then disconected frome the server but the sound didn't come back and i had to restart arma to regain the audio... I tried changing the cpu count and all but nothing changed and it does it on every server ... I loved arma 2 especially for it's multiplayer :wub: and now arma 3 looks epic but i can't experience it without any audio! Anyone know how i can fix this ? <_<
  18. Ok so, about a week ago I get on to play Arma 3 after not playing for maybe 3 days, and I have no sound. Before I did and I changed nothing in settings and now magically I don't. I can hear people talking in global and etc, but cant hear things like bullets, vehicles, character sounds and all that stuff. I have checked the sound settings in volume mixer and nothing is wrong, I have also checked ingame sound settings and all of them are up. I have reinstalled the game 2 times, deleted the Arma 3 folder all together, and nothing helped. Please help me with my problem. :( Update: I have sound in other games on steam, and I have tried using other headphones and tried using no headphones. I can hear others talking in global and etc. so it has to be something in the game. Update: I have Nvidia drivers, and all of mine are up to date.
  19. 4th Marine Raider Battalion Realism Unit The 4th Marine Raider Battalion Realism Unit, aka 4th MRB, is a realism unit in the Arma 3 community. We simulate a fictional unit within the Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The 4th MRB is structured and organized identical to a real life MARSOC battalion, with attached supporting USSOCOM units. The 4th MRB was founded by long-serving members of a different Arma 3 realism unit which emulates another real life United States Marine Corps Unit. The 4th MRB attempts to maintain the discipline, professionalism, and esprit de corps of real US Marine special operators. The fun and excitement members of this unit enjoy is the result of the difficult and challenging operations we are asked to perform and in developing skills and unique tactics commonly practiced by special operators within the special operations community. These typically include (though are not limited to) direct action missions, special reconnaissance, foreign internal defense, counter-insurgency, unconventional warfare, maritime interdiction, counter-narco terrorism, hostage rescue, preparation of the environment, security force assistance, gas & oil platform operations, and special clandestine operations. Based out of Marine Camp Currin, Bozacaada, Turkey - the unit currently consists 4th Marine Raider Battalion, 4th Marine Raider Support Battalion, and associated SOCOM supporting elements from 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) and 27th Special Operations Group, 27th Special Operations Wing. The 4th MRB is an immersion-orientated, role-playing realism unit. By considering an application you have similar interests.   20. I know about setName, and setIdentity, but I'm wondering how one might be able to change the name of a character when you hover over them. They would say "Rifleman", or "Team Leader." I know that when you place the units under Men (Story) their names show up as their names are, but I'm wondering how I can get a character to have a name show up as well, so that instead of "Grenadier" or something, it shows "Cpl. Dunn" or something like that.
  21. Links about our group YouTube Channel Website Facebook About us: Black Watch International is a tactical Arma 3 unit founded in September, 2014. Currently, our roster consists of over 50 members. We live up to our name with members hailing from over 20 different countries. We mostly play cooperative missions, which can be made by anyone in the group as long as we are content that you understand some basic technical requirements. All missions have at least one active Zeus. The mods we use on the server are mostly focused on creating a realistic feel for the players. A list of the mods we use can be found here. We play various factions. Most of the time we will play as bluefor factions, however there are plenty of sessions in which we play as different factions. We play daily and all operations are at 7pm GMT with an extended operation on Saturday. Requirements We are looking to increase our numbers with respectful, patient members. Need to attend at least one operation a week. We value leadership and initiative. We are interested in applicants who are willing to lend us their skills and help our organization grow and improve. We only accept applicants above the age of 20, though exceptions can be made if you can prove to us that your age is a non-issue. Applicants must have a functioning microphone, the ability to use Teamspeak3 and Apex.   22. Hi everyone. Does anyone happen to know what the arma 3 secret achievement is? If you go to your arma 3 achievements and scroll all the way to the bottom, you will see an achievement that has the icon +1 with the title "1 hidden achievement remaining" and with the description "Details for each achievement will be revealed once unlocked". Any help would be grateful.

The 2nd Yorkshire Battalion (2YB) is a group for people who want to have the realism of the military simulation side of ArmA but want to have fun and not have the realism ruin the experience. We aim to provide a mature, fun and interactive environment to focus on operations and gameplay over having pristine realism. We focus on fun, teamwork, tactical and realism in that order. What do we offer over other groups? We offer an organised structure for both in-game and out of game to avoid any confusion and show peoples specialties. We have structured training and qualifications so everyone gets a fair chance at becoming the best soldier. Realistic operations that relate to present day. Our Divisions? We have multiple 'divisions' within our group. Our main infantry force is a platoon of infantry soldiers, this is three sections or six fireteams. We also have an RAF division which handles all our flying needs including transport and close air support. We have support sections that include indirect fire, logistics, explosive ordnance disposal, armour and heavy weapons Requirements to join us?
