  3. Note that this mod is still a work-in-progress. State : Alpha Have you always secretly wanted to have a tiger in Arma? Well, now you can have your own (super dangerous) pet tiger. This is an early version of the mod which only includes the model, textures and animations for the moment (so no tiger chasing you through the thick jungle of Cam Lao Nam or Tanoa - unless you want to script it yourself). This mod adds a basic tiger to the game. The unit is not an animal but a civilian. You can spawn it from the editor by typing tiger. We plan to add a module later.   4. So, I'm looking for a some help with a mod idea I've wanted to do for a long while now. So a while ago, I made an admittedly pretty crappy orbat composition mod for the One Year War factions from Mobile Suit Gundam. Like, with actual uniforms and gear (retextured GM assets are the goal). Unfortunately, despite my best attempts, I have made no progress on my own. I have zero skill in actual modding. So I come here to see if there’s anybody who would be willing to help. I know this is probably pretty lame to be asking for help like this, but I couldn’t think of any other way to find help. And after my attempts to learn how to mod, I don’t want to risk anymore of my hair line. I'm not going to out right offer to pay you, as my monetary situation is pretty shaky, but I might be able to throw something your way for your help.   5. #pissedoff I don't think I need to mention how annoying it is to spend hours getting from one end of the map to the other to get all your kit just be killed by a glitchy car and have to do it all over again. I love dayz, but once things like this have happened enough you start to get fed up. Which is why I stopped playing for ages. I finally started playing again a while ago. I went all out looking high and low for the kit I wanted. Couldn't find any ARs though. NONE on ANY SERVER. just rifles and every now and then an smg. Regardless I got myself together a half decent loadout, just for an update that comes with a complete wipe to be announced. Ofcourse I stopped playing until the update was released, which I'm pretty sure was late. So I give up. However, I decided to play your pointless game again last night. Of course I spawned in with a fresh character. Spent my gaming hours last night making my way up to the middle airfield I died once, but made it with my second character. Although I had no food or water by the time I got there (remember that). I did a quick sweep of the barracks at the top then logged off for the night, ready to come back on this afternoon, do a full sweep of the base then head up to the next one. I log on today, got a 75 second spawn in timer and a message warning me that because of a server change, my position might change, which of course, it did. Spawned in a field with no food or water, no doubt miles away from the base. I found a house not to far a way with a can of peaches in it. Luckily cuz I was about to start dehydrating. Not sure if that will be enough to get me to a town or not though. So my question is should I keep playing? This switching position thing is a blessing and a curse. It fixes some of the main issues like duplicating and spawning in people's base. But when you start punishing the legitimate players, is your game even worth playing anymore? Who knows how long it'll be before you wipe the servers again, that alone makes the game pretty pointless. It's a shame cuz I like this game but I really don't know if I want to play it again. I'm sat in that house where I found the peaches, debating whether or not to log back on and continue.

I have created a new model with Blender and I have been able to successfully convert it into an Arma3 object that can be selected from the virtual arsenal without any problem in the "Facewear" section (a cosplay accessory). I also made a new face skin that can be selected from the full arsenal in the "Face" section. The two objects are configured correctly one in the "class CfgGlasses" section and the other in the "class CfgFaces" section. All of that works fine. But what I need is that when I select in the "Virtual Arsenal" the object I made in the "Facewear" section, the character's face automatically changes and the skin I made becomes active. Can someone think of how to do this, without creating a new head on Blender from scratch? Perhaps some script that when registering that _player is wearing class "my_facewear" activates the class "my_face" with the skin I made on the face. I think it's probably something obvious what I say. But I don't have any clue as to where to start with this. Please, I need someone to help me with this idea. Thank you.

  9. Hello this is a project i've been working on for awhile now. I've been tracking female mods in a3 and each one has never either released or just use a2 women/heads. Wanting a bit more i've decided to go ahead and make my own female meshes for a few of my projects. The scope of this mod is the following. Create a custom female mesh that will use the a3man skeleton Create a custom head model. Create custom civilian clothes for female model. Provide a base for other mod creators to use the base mesh to create other female models.     Character Reset at Launch

    With the official f2p launch being this year, I was wondering if characters will be reset for those that have been playing the game in Game Preview? I was searching through the forums to see if anyone has asked yet and found very little. I know there are perks from the Founders Pack but I don’t think that will be enough to suffice the character, shelter and weapons that players have been acquiring within the Game Preview time. With the gameplay as well balanced as it is, I don’t really see the concern of how new players could be overwhelmed by everyone else having better guns and such. I use the Suomi a lot and find it to be a really well balanced gun even against someone who is using a higher end weapon.

A strong proposed Arma 3 Creator DLC project with a mil-sim focus is seeking capable artists from within the Arma modding community: 1 character artist 1 building artist 1 vehicle artist 1 fx artist 1 terrain artist to join a large, friendly, professional team who have already delivered paid game content for the Arma series. Time commitment is 10-20hrs per week, for 10-15 months. Typical income $30k+++ and a fair risk/royalty share. Blender or Max / Substance Painter workflow demo required. Some coaching can be provided, if you're 90% there with skills. We're hoping to hire from within the Arma community, so if you're a capable artist and wondering if you can go professional, now is the time to make contact. 10 hours per week would be the minimum commitment.     So I'm trying to put in a new backpack and I'm running into 2 large issues. The first issue is that my backpack is not located correctly on the characters back. it is located down by the characters feet. How do I go about moving this to get it in the correct position? Gyazo picture for reference: https://gyazo.com/4a8dfe6e26d54b30bc15f686c2858157 FIXED THIS PORTION The second issue is that the model is somehow "flipped" where the left side is on the right side, and the right side is on the left. With that, the textures are actually on the inside of the model and not on the outside making it to where you can see through the model. Look closely, you will notice the texture you do see, is what is supposed to be against the back of the character. Gyazo picture for reference: If anyone has any ideas that can help me figure this out would be absolutely appreciated. I'm very new to the modding community, so anything will help.

    Rigging HELP!

    Hi, I'm hoping this is the right place! I am tasked with rigging on a mod team i am in. I have an fbx that seems to be weighted but none of the bones seem to be named correctly and some of the weights don't seem right or are missing. Is there anyone who can help me with this? I simply cannot seem to figure out how to rig in arma. And I have watched that german guys videos but he gives no help to oxygen 2. Someone please help me. Basically its a uniform. The configs and everything work, but the armor doesn't even apear in game because its not rigged. If you could help me that would be great. Thanks

  18. I'm working on series of singleplayer scenarios and, inorder to make them more fluid I would like to be able to switch from the first character to the next one via a trigger. How do I do this? Or is even possible with the Eden Editor?

So yesterday i had a decent run ( around 7k points ) and unlocked almost all characters ( except the Biker guy , cant unlock him for some reason ) and i was wondering which character should i start with now , last run i started with Ganzo "Dragon" he has a bow with arrows hunter pants and 2 awesome perks ( sprint and cold resistance ) which are very nice for veteran but now i can also choose Tom "Survivor" he starts with knife and backpack 3 slots also with Survivor and Hunter perks and Garry "Veteran" who starts with buletproof vest pistol some ammo sharpshooter and scout perks . which one of these are you choosing and why ? Imo Dragon is best perk wise both sprint and cold resistance are crucial for Veteran , Survivor has decent items at start but one perk is wasted on hunter Garry Veteran might be nice due to gun and 14 bullets he starts with however his perks are mostly good for 2nd island and above

  21. This is my first post, so I'll begin by apologising for any rules I may break or any syntax issues. Secondly, Im Trying to remodel an entire Arma 3 unit for a mod I am creating. The model was imported to Object builder no worries, I then took my time to follow every tutorial I could get my hands on regarding rigging and setting the unit up to be a playable unit in game. Here is a list of everything that has been done up till now (Without knowing any extra steps): -LODs and Texture set up and working, tested in engine and in game. -Geometry working. -Memory components set up (Now these memory points were used for the Arma 2 example). -Weighting selection to allow for animations (So tedious). - model.cfg and config set up correctly (hopefully). Now when I load it into game, everything works fine, the class path, the textures, I can even control as player, and he moves around as normal. EXCEPT, the model remains in the default "T" stance and about half way through the floor. Does anyone know anywhere I could look, or give me any information on how I can make this work. (Please let me know if you need any more details, like images or my config and model.cfg)
