  2. #pissedoff I don't think I need to mention how annoying it is to spend hours getting from one end of the map to the other to get all your kit just be killed by a glitchy car and have to do it all over again. I love dayz, but once things like this have happened enough you start to get fed up. Which is why I stopped playing for ages. I finally started playing again a while ago. I went all out looking high and low for the kit I wanted. Couldn't find any ARs though. NONE on ANY SERVER. just rifles and every now and then an smg. Regardless I got myself together a half decent loadout, just for an update that comes with a complete wipe to be announced. Ofcourse I stopped playing until the update was released, which I'm pretty sure was late. So I give up. However, I decided to play your pointless game again last night. Of course I spawned in with a fresh character. Spent my gaming hours last night making my way up to the middle airfield I died once, but made it with my second character. Although I had no food or water by the time I got there (remember that). I did a quick sweep of the barracks at the top then logged off for the night, ready to come back on this afternoon, do a full sweep of the base then head up to the next one. I log on today, got a 75 second spawn in timer and a message warning me that because of a server change, my position might change, which of course, it did. Spawned in a field with no food or water, no doubt miles away from the base. I found a house not to far a way with a can of peaches in it. Luckily cuz I was about to start dehydrating. Not sure if that will be enough to get me to a town or not though. So my question is should I keep playing? This switching position thing is a blessing and a curse. It fixes some of the main issues like duplicating and spawning in people's base. But when you start punishing the legitimate players, is your game even worth playing anymore? Who knows how long it'll be before you wipe the servers again, that alone makes the game pretty pointless. It's a shame cuz I like this game but I really don't know if I want to play it again. I'm sat in that house where I found the peaches, debating whether or not to log back on and continue.

First off: I have not been around for a while, had a few different deployments in support of 1st Special Operations Group and I am now back in a stable environment to get some other projects done, mostly S.E.R.E. School Hosting for the USMC @ https://discord.gg/RV7QaWR There is some amnesty for Milsim Operators although don't click that link if your soul is a dirty filthy whore. Haha. Either way, just to let everyone know back in 2013 we help trial runs for different operations for the United States Army Rangers and certain recon Marines in Afghanistan. The time has come to replan and get back into the dirty dirty. I have free time with my PC until Memorial Day and I the original plan has been delayed for over 8 months and I am getting breathed on heavily. Either way we still have a job to do. The original plan was to go with the Official DayZ mod with the packs installed and run under Operation Arrowhead. I need some updated guides and also I will not be streaming (as of right now) RDV would be ProfessorJive on Twitch. Can anyone help me on this? I do have a stable network and a stable PC.     DayZ: let’s talk about some fixes...

    Ok, so let me just starry by saying, Bohemia Interactive, you have possibly one of the best games for such high potential. Ever since I’d seen gameplay of dayz on pc I’ve dreamed of a day the game would release on console. For the past few months, I’ve been able to live that dream. It’s such a good game that I could honestly play for hours and hours, which is why I don’t want to see it fail. I understand that no game should ever be EASY. I understand that taking the challenge away would make a game dull and boring. However, I and I think every other gamer out there would appreciate getting rewarded with some fun out of any game. I want ant to start with thirst, hunger, and vomiting. When I first started dayz, I’ll admit, I had no idea what the hell I was doing. But I remember dying probably 8-12 times just from THIRST. The fact that I started the game with no drinks, and a thirst meter already halfway empty, and draining fast, was insanely difficult for me. But then I started to catch on to the game. I began to understand the looting process and the while maintaining my thirst and hunger procedure. So months went by of me having a blast on the game. I died a couple times, but no where near as many times as the first day of playing the game. I am currently on my longest lasting character, I’ve kept him alive for about a whole month now, as of October 5th, 2019. I got on today and realized that my regular server was missing. I handled it pretty well, just had to pull out my compass and head south east. However, I did notice something odd. My thirst meter was going down at an alarming rate, a rate that it had never gone down at before. I walked about a mile and drink through all 4 full plastic water bottles, and a full canteen in just one mile. Not to mention that fact that I also kept throwing up because the game wouldn’t tell me if I was quenching my thirst or not which obviously made the situation worse. Staying quenched and full was already a bad enough problem when I first started, I’m begging you to not make it a problem again. I refuse to let my longest lasting character, who’s already been through the toughest situations, die of thirst. A pathetic death. If that means I can’t play the game until you guys fix thirst to actually feel realistic, then so be it. The other thing that I’m not really as concerned about is looting. Now I don’t really mind not finding any AR’s ANYWHERE because I already have a scoped SKS and a kickass pistol, BUT I’m just saying it would be nice to find one somewhere. I’ve seen countless amounts of ammo and attachments for AR’s, especially the AK, but no AR’s anywhere. I’ve only found ONE M4 in the many months of playing the game and that was in a bathroom in the military base south of the main airfield, and then I immediately lost it when it failed me in a firefight. I get it, I mean guns like that should definitely be rare, but not nonexistent. I’ve been to all military-based loot areas COUNTLESS times and never found a single AR ever again. I feel the same way about cars. I’ve only found 2 of those EVER. And I just have to pass them by because it’s VERY hard to build and fix a car to run properly. I think the positions of where certain things spawn should remain the same, but they should spawn more abundantly, which could also help with the thirst problem too. The last thing I wanted to say is a question. How do I setup a good base camp? How do I keep my things from despawning? I want to finally settle down with my character, so he can make regular runs and stuff. He can have a good transceiver and maybe a functioning car and grow a garden and stuff like that.   5. Dear creators of DayZ. First let me say I play your game and I am realy enjoying it. You have done best job for this kind of survival postapocalyptic online realistic game. I have been fallowing you since Operation Flashpoint what was the best military simulator for me. Thank you for all your hard work 😉 I woul like to give you some suggestions for the future update: FOOD: Meet and fruit shall rotten in a time. I would simply add this behavior to already existing slider of content ammount. (Baken food shall rotten in slower peace) MOVEMENT: Every player I meet in the game is default running. Never have I met the player who is walking around the country. What I think is more realistic. Not everyone is super maraton athlet. I would add more pros to player who is realisticly walking. Like a bit better vission. More ready state stamina for sprinting. Some objects like mushrooms shell be visible from walking pace. And more stuff shall be "found able" if you dont rush. Thus you dont go running while carefully looking around you, arent you? Also learn players to enjoy the scenery. Not just "run for the guns" playstyle. If you prefer to run. I would add a bit blured vission on corners of the screen. And have a less power to sprint after long run. I woul find it more realistic and enjoyable. In real life I do a lot of running so I know how it feels. SOUND: Hearing foot steps from hen animal shall be removed or use different sound. ANIMALS: I would add some dangerous animals into the game. I think this would had a big deal in apocalypse. Like a wolf packs in the woods. Snakes. Hornets. You name it... So you have more to be affraid of. (And after some time thay shall conquere the towns as well.) Other than that? Your game is simply the best. I love the sound you made for everything. Animations are great. Possible social interaction with other players is well done. The stories you can experience with other people on every life is great. Graphic is astonishing.   7. Hey guys, I am new to Arma 3 modding. I was following along with this tutorial today and spent about 8 hours trying to get this "pie" into the game. I went through the tutorial twice to make sure that I followed his steps correctly. At first I got an error that I figured out myself, it was due to incorrect directory listings in the config.cpp file. However after I fixed this the item would still not show up in game when I ran player addItem "big_pie" in the Arma 3 editor.   8. Hello, I have been directed to the forums here for this type of help. I need the developers to allow me another try on the Dayz free trial since I got it exactly at the time when the Xbox servers were down on the 4th of September, so I never got to try it and now i DON'T know if to get it or not. My gamertag on Xbox is IIIErosionIII, please allow me another free trial, it is not fair that i didn't get to play the game at all. BTW - Xbox directed me here, they could not do anything themselves, so I'm really expecting you to help me on this.

Dear Bohemia.. while i love your technically flawed products and spent thousands of hours with them (most of them were awesome.. quite often i got Arma'ed) your newest Newsletter is just infuriating to me as i love your products, always hoped for a better technical foundation and now you basically go with a game that has been 4 1/2 years (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) in early access: buy now last chance getting it on a discount.. as it is "finally" going into beta.. Instead of beeing sorry you try to capitalize on insulting business practices... Basically early access done wrong..

  12. ZBot ( An experimental project. ) -> For any BattlEye rcon game supported! Current version: 1.0.2 A Discord bot that can roam your Discord server and function as an RCON client for your BattlEye game servers. Screenshots at the bottom. What can it do? Print all chats in different discord text channels in their respective colours ( Side, Vehicle, Global, ... ). (Tip: Print sidechat in a channel that everyone can read !) Execute RCON & Server commands to your arma server in the assigned Command channel. Protect these commands with an appropriate Discord Role. Reply to user commands when they type ingame. These replies can be printed ingame and in discord. ( eg: !admin -> Admins can be found on discord -> @Admin some asked for an admin ingame. ) Web panel to configure your rcon-game servers. List players, admins & bans trough rcon commands. ( All BattleEye commands supported ). Country flags when using command !rcon players+ Automated messages configured in web panel ( these can contain command which will be ignored by the bot -> No endless loop :p ) Future plans: Support other types or RCON ( steam, minecraft,... ) Open for ideas. How to add it to my server? https://bot.devzupa.be/ Follow the flow of the site. It should be straightforward. Always remember to save a page if needed before navigating to another page!   13. There is some command to constantly check all the commands running on the client, in case it would be to prevent hackers. I tried the battleye but from what little I saw, the battleye only checks when you enter the server, or am I wrong? If I am, how do I execute the battleye constantly to check the commands executed by the client?

Hello, I'm trying to play Arma 2 OA, specifically DAYZ, and when i attempt to join a server all i get is a message from battleye that says i have been kicked for using a VPN and that VPN's are not allowed, i've tried disabling firewalls, running as admin, restarting PC, restarting my router, nothing is working, is there a solution or am i just doomed to not be able to play this game?

  16. First of all, hello to everybody who is reading through this. My team and me consisting of two other ppl who are both highly experienced scripters both 3 years+ experience. Who would tackle the difficult part of the project like for example scripting a who new custom survival mod (work is allready beeing done on that front see below) The whole project aims to combine all the good from the arma2 dayz mod (the feel and ambiance, the amazingly high chance to run into another person, the absence of, i can just do some lootruns sell junk at the trader and buy myself an as50), Arma3 features (everything the arma3 engine has to offer and that we can use to our advantage), and some highly polished and custom "exile like" features. (completely custom trading system and tradingzones thats about it, yes there will be no missions because missions are just a big mess all there is either the server is empty -> you can do your missions in peace or server is full -> everbody camps a missions and waits until some idiots starts to do the missions and then snipes him when hes at the crate. Aswell as no exile like base building see below at "Whats planned" Whats planned: As mentioned allready completely custom survival DayZ script (so no exile scripts -> fully custom and expandable). Highly customized map (but done properly well not just some barracks in a massive sand bank square haha we all know and hate that stuff) (Base map will most likely be the A2 Version of chernarus not CUP since it looks quite alot better) (allready in the works) Coming with that new map design what will happen exactly. The whole maplayout will be story based fyi. when a zombie outbreak starts, it will probably not just the country that outbreak was in fighting the outbreak there will be help from other countries. So what is planned multiple smaller outposts from different factions Obviously the whole map would be polished up with props and small overrun checkpoints to make it feel proper zombie appocalypse (further details on interest) When you have that properly planned map layout you almost have to make a fully custom loot table which means that you can only find american weapons at american outposts same with AK's bla bla i think you get the point. What this does very well is encurage ppl to go to multiple outposts to get the best loadout which increases traffic on the map tremendously. (the loottable is allready beeing worked on aswell) Adding to that will come a completely custom trading system that completely gets rid of the whole coin system and makes it far more realistic alswell as a new tradezone system in itself (further details only on interest) Custom crafting system will also be available aswell as a wear system on guns and vehicles. Completely custom base building no ugly ass block fortresses but realistic stuff like pichting a tent, diggin a small hole to hide a chest or seeking shelter in a house and barricading the windows and puting a lock on the door. Lots more in planned and if i would go into detail about most of this stuff here i would be writing this for the next few hrs, and nobody would care to read through this (i think its already a bit much) What are we looking for? Modeling artist, what tasks would be there ? Custom items: backpacks, misc items, clothing (also converting arma 2 clothing (like about 5 skins) and making it modular for the arma3 system) Custom props and eventually even smaller buildings. Config coder, what tasks would there be ? Managing all weapons giving them sound proper recoil etc. General config work for interactions and managing the addon files.   17. Hello everybody, i am currently working on a very big and detailed plan to make a properly done arma 2 dayz mod mod oldschool style proper first day of release. I have played dayz since the very first day i know what its all about and i have done alot of research on what was there and how everything setup, unfortunatly i cant do all the coding and modding myself as my skills are limited on the heavy hitters. So i am looking of for some modders and coders who share my vision and passion for the old dayz and are down to work on this unique project, the project it aims to catch tha flair and feel of the good ol days of dayz arma2 mod. As some of you might know, there like 1 or 2 other server out there trying to do this and even tho they do horrible job on it, yet their server are still filled to the brim allmost allways so emagine what a proper done server will achive. A little overview of what is planned https://www.pic-upload.de/view-33301738/Overview.png.html (about 15 pages font size 11 in total and still growing) The main tasks would be : -Getting the hud up to date or rather down to date https://www.pic-upload.de/view-33301742/512231231.jpg.html means all the icons changed (i allready have all the icons ready to go just needs to be changed) -Importing all the guns we need from arma 2 into arma 3 (full list of all guns that where in the game back then is ready) and making them work with sound animations and very important ZEROING, obviously back then guns didnt have attatchments so now they wont have them either which means every gun has fixed attatchments (i allready started with that task) -Map changes chernarus back then was looking quite a bit different obviously this needs to be changed to fit aswell im sure you can find the code for the special dayz mapping somewhere in the dayz files (i got allmost every dayz version file from vanilla to now) but if that wont work ill just map in the stuf. -Custom loottables will ofc also be a task that needs to be done i allready got everything planned out on what spawns where just needs to be added in a lootcompiler -Importing skins from arma2/dayz to arma 3 and make them work i thought of putting them in the vest slot since i plan on giving certain skins more armor like the hero skins to encurage less kos. -Importing all the sounds from arma 2 to arma 3 including the (background music from dayz (dont know if we are allowed to do that might have to get a license)) -Getting custom models from arma 2/ dayz for all the misc items bloodbags, car parts, etc. -Also getting a repair system working because the normal all in one duct tape exile fix is just boring. -Possibitly of making cars damaged and also make guns spawn with attatchments if needed -Getting a debug monitor running -Adding helicopter crashsites with special loot Thats roughly the goal to get these things done and working. I know very well that this is no over the weekend project or even over a few weeks but this project would go off like a rocket i already asked many ppl (100+) if they would be interested in playing on such a server with highly positive responce. During the fall months of 2009 a bio-weapon company known as Invasive Industries finished contruction of a bio-lab to study the effects and work on a possible cure for a complete zombification virus they classified as HHV-6Z,otherwise known as the ZA-Virus. It was previously limited to animals, but Invasive Industries had finally modified its genes to infect, at a phenomnal rate, the human body. Using Chernarus prisoners as test subjects, it was perfected, or so they thought at the time. During one of the finalization tests to perfect the virus' control, a subject broke free from his restraints and attacked a scientist, infecting him with the new virus. The scientist walked away with only a simple bite on his right arm. However, a few days later the scientist fell ill and was hospitalized. Diagnosed with severe Malaria, Rabies, as well as signs of Schizophrenia. One day he jumped from his hospital bed and started to attack the doctors, nurses, and everyone around him. He became known as Patient Zero. By late November, southern Chernaurus was a deadzone. Complete anarchy had taken over, the streets littered withbodies and debris. Only a handful of survivors remained. Evacuation zones were established on the airfields of Chernarus, only saving a minority of the population before they were overrun by the hordes. It was no more than a few weeks before the entirety of the country was infected. The few survivors that had held out seemed to vanish. To the Russian government, Chernarus was useless. It was set to be wiped off the map in early February. Just before the total annihilation of Chernarus, a group of surviors were found on the shores. Chernarus had hope. As the new year dawned, the ZDTF (Zero Dawn Task Force) was formed and the most elite soldiers the world had to offer were drafted to clean up the region. The task force was deployed in January and a forward operating base was established near the town of Myshkino to help aid the few remaining in the failing state and eliminate the remains of the virus It is now March of the year of 2010, the ZA-Virus is still present in Chernarus and seems to be evolving at an alarming rate. Local groups have been established, some wanting to help the weak while others take to banditry. Supplies have depleted, food is scarce, and there are not enough guns for defense against fellow men, living or undead. The fate of Chernarus now rests in the hands of the survivors and Zero Dawn This project cannot work with you guys. With the support of the ARMA & DayZ community we can get this community back up and running. You may select roles, make groups, trade routes, camps, even citys! While majority of users still prefer the old fashioned OFP style command line driven mod handling, there is also another way of doing it, using the in game expansions manager and documents settings. One real advantage of doing it that way is that it no longer matter from where you launch the game (be it steam, other version etc.). It makes clean installations also much simpler than messing within the game folder. Example how I use the system: * create DayZ folder in C:\Users\maruk\Documents\ArmA 2 * create sub folder Addons there and download / extract files from http://www.armafiles.info/dayz/ to it * run the game (I use the latest beta from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php ) * in the game go to the Expansions, select DayZ and click on Enable button, restart the game * now the mod is installed and I can play easily with it anytime (using beta, or normal steam version, or sprocket version) For me personally it is simpler than toying with commandline options and interferring with game installation. I understand that everyone has different taste and that is why the original mod commandline is kept intact since 2002 :) I just thought some may simply not understand the more modern alternatives available now.

  22. hey, i been looking for a mission that is mixed between exile and dayz.free roam style (sorry if I placed in the wrong section) all the features of exile but with out the shops, so that you have to find everything, broken down cars spawn that you can fix up, and that's the element of dayz. like rare chance of jets and helis to spawn and random roaming ai with zombies and missions, harder the mission better the rewards. I have not seen anything really do something like this and its something I would love to see in arma 3, I have no clue about mission making to make it for my self or I would lol. if other people like this idea then why not make a mod of it for multiplayer, I know this is not a easy task but I think it would be a cool fun concept I would love to see :) if this is already made then my bad. thanks for reading please leave your opinions down below and if anyone likes the idea then feel free to make it PS a cool map for this would be esseker thanks dunte

  24. is it possible to make head mounted optics with different vision modes? i saw something in the configs about thermal goggles but never could seem to pinpoint the way they would be implemented. also is it possible to add optics overlays to head mounted stuff like the way they did in the laser designator and range finder? Id d give a look through the forums for a request like this and didnt find one. i hope i looked well enough.

    DayZ Forum downtime

    Hi all, As some of you are aware, both the BI forums and the DayZ forums were taken down late last week in response to someone attempting to gain illicit access to some areas of our websites. As is clear the BI forums are now back online. Hopefully the DayZ forums will be up shortly, so hopefully we will have more news either later today or first thing tomorrow morning (CET Time). I'll post an update here with any changes in the situation.
