This script is a bit of a doozie and I generally wanted it to be handled within all one SQF... Or at least thats what I thought I could do. But my issue is with every attempt at (albeit randomly) changing scopes/globals I always get 'error undefined variable in _' and to be quite I have no idea what I am doing outside of looking at several examples of several things, then attempting to combine them. So I have a scenario involving 4 groups, in a traitor-survival permadeath like scenario. Campers, killers, hunters, and guards. I wanted to an add action script on a Bell to ring that, in this order: Institutes a 30 second COOLDOWN for the addaction. Initiates a titleText BLACK FADED screen when activated, that pauses then shows text like "12 hours later" Hidden by that screen I wish to teleport players to certain markers And skips time 12 hours, more pause BLACK IN titleCut when then the teleportation has happened and they see a different time of day upon lifting Script/Addaction resets/loops Technicalities: Script must be repeatable for my purpose I want a UNIT VARIABLE NAME array, 1 for each pre mentioned group that is NOT SIDE dependent. All units are on Indfor. And a TELEPORTATION MARKER array, and code inserted to the teleportation bits so that once activated, for example, all campers will randomlytravel to one of the several CAMPER markers. This allows for rounds to not be the exact thing. CODE MUST NOT BE SIDE DEPENDENT. Ive clearly tried to make 3 arrays, one for each 'type', the reason why all units are Indfor is for smooth 'roleplay' purposes What Works: I believe the time passage works. The black screen fade in/out/text works. The teleportation does NOT WORK. I am screwing up with scopes/globals in accessing the array's Ive set up... ARPI brings up 700 items to improve military roleplay and immersion in Arma 3. With ACE3 and CBA, some items have functionalities. We want to spare micromanagement capacities of the ZEUS in extensive roleplay-missions and enable storytellers to increase immersion via filling missions with items. ARES RP Items [ARPI] brings up over 700 items to improve military roleplay and immersion in A3. With ACE3 and CBA, much items have functionalities or can be combined to become usable. Items are for example : Food, Tools, Electronical Equipment, Loot, ID's, Documents, Money, Boxes, Knifes, ComRadios, Contraband and other stuff. The main aims of this mod are: reduce telling and hint-work of zeus with self explanatory items supply missionmakers with mission-relevant items enable the player to physically affect the arma environment provide a messaging system with players and virtual identites (NPC) enriching the immersion of operations, for example "checkpoint simulation with regular civil items and contraband" improve battlefield roleplay with military survival items, things you can find on killed combattants supported language: english and german Basic function via ACE Interaction hint and sound for the used activity, read-and hearable in 15-30m range of the user hints can be seen by admin and zeus globally (zeus will be informed about relevant activities) Advanced functions Some items can manipulate the environment (knive can kill, chainsaw saws trees, machete chops bushes, s.o. ) Survival System with modules for diseases, combinable scrap, water-system and filthy insects. Some Items can reduce or delete the effects of the modules Some items can place objects, such as tents, campfires, security equipment, s.o. Some items can detect variables in objects, for example geiger counter, chemsniffer or RFID Detector (see item list for variables) Requirements: All Functions require CBA3 and ACE3! It is possible to deactivate the ACE3 functions in your init.sqf by adding: AR_InteractionsEnabled = false; Place relevant modules in the editor to use Global Interaction System, Trading System or other systems. Restrictions: No reuploads on Steam allowed! No not never! Montarization in any means is definately not allowed! Its a free mod for the community! Useage on monetarized servers is not allowed. Dear Arma 3 Community, in this article we would like to introduce our project LAPD:FR. The project has been in development for a long time and this phase will probably continue for a few months. General information LAPD:FR is a german RP server, which plays on a modded map. It has been in development for a month now and we continue to make steady progress despite the length of time. Our systems are getting more and more sophisticated from week to week. We can openly claim that we want to build a soft roleplay server and don't want to score points with some slogans like "We love roleplay", which are not realizable. Of course this doesn't mean that roleplay is an exception. Roleplay is gladly seen and is also recognized, but to implement this strictly has become very difficult due to the Arma community. Features It has become difficult to present unique features in Arma. Nevertheless, we have come up with some special features, which not every server has and which distinguish us from other servers. Nevertheless, we would like to list a few of our features: - American system (LAPD, SWAT, CSP, FBI, etc.) - Seatbelts - Revised map - Realistic ranks, vehicles and weapons - Realistic radio (with TFAR) It doesn't stop at these features though, we still have a few things on our TODO list which we want to implement, so stay tuned! Here are some questions I might be able to answer - We always play daily on the server. - We play similar to the LSPD:FR mod (or FivePD) for Gta 5, best way tried in Arma. - More departments will come in the future. - Players can only play as a police officer! - You must be 16+ (exception if you can behave) - Mod pack is about 10-20 gigabytes in size. - We use Ace Medical as the medical system. Who are we? We currently run both of our units(26th STS & 160th SOAR) with the 26th being the mainline unit and 160th as the supporting role. The 26th STS is a unit in the United States Air Force that consists of PJs(Pararescuemen) and CCTs(Combat Controllers). Both PJs and CCTs will be working together to complete different objectives, the PJs main skill is providing medical care and the CCTs work with radio communications and calling in fire missions. The 160th SOAR is an aviation unit that will be providing transport and some CAS over the mission area and are used in a supporting role for the units on the ground. What do we do? Our main role in the battle space is conducting CSAR(Combat Search and Rescue) Operations for allied units as well as conducting raids and capturing HVTs. Right now we are operating on the map Lythium which is modeled after a region in Afghanistan. Our role in this campaign is to help the ANA/ANP with holding their ground in the region. When do we operate? Our operations are every Sunday at 8pm EST and we run training for the specific teams at least twice every week. What roles are available? Currently we have CCT, PJ and Aviation roles open, and depending on experience you can be moved into higher roles within those billets and not have to do as much preliminary training. Revolution is a next generation, fast-paced, open source gamemode and framework for Life type roleplaying missions in Arma 3. --- Revolution as a gamemode has been inspired by Chernarus Life: Revolution gamemode from Arma 2. Revolution started in 2012 as a passion project of a couple of Finnish Arma players who had fallen in love with the gamemode and essentially dedicated their whole free time to it, enjoying it vastly. As rookie developers, they failed to deliver such a complex and large framework, leading to their competitor, Altis Life eventually conquering the Armaverse in 2014. The developer team still wanted to deliver a vastly different experience from Altis Life that would remind the relatively fast paced and completely dynamic nature of Chernarus Life: Revolution or Urban Life in Takistan back in the Arma 2 days. They tried to develop the framework multiple times, but all attempts failed due to monetary constraints, issues with developer group dynamics, health issues or real life events that forced us to quit our passion project. --- --- This time it's different. We've learned from our previous mistakes each time, and we're able to deliver the gamemode much more likely this time thanks to the gained experience. --- --- We want to share the amazing feeling and memorable moments that we had in Chernarus Life: Revolution with as many players as possible. [A3][NA][Casual Milsim] DEVGRU 77 Wants You!

DEVGRU 77 is a new and small casual milsim unit for Arma 3 that is based on the Naval Special Warfare Development Group. Our campaigns, deployments, and missions are very player driven and oriented with a strong story structure, focusing on the actions and reactions by and to the player base. Things like RPing with civis, deciding which objectives to hit, what intel you're able to gather from civis/HVTs/laptops/phones/recon etc are all taken into account during development to allow freedom of choice and approach. I say casual milsim because our unit isn't focused on being milsim 100% 24/7. We don't require any of the "yes sir, no sir" crap as that's just un-fun. We enjoy having freedom to choose what we wear and use (of course, within reason) so we aren't super restrictive. We more give a couple camo patterns and type of uniform (civis, jeans and G3, any G3 varient, etc) to make you feel like an individual in a group and not a cog in a machine. Our unit is very small, currently only numbering 12 in total. We focus on small unit tactics, unconventional war and enemies, and allowing players to do something they enjoy the most in milsim. We train for all roles within the unit so that each is fluid and able to be moved around as needed within your section. Taking up different tasks at different times throughout a deployment. We are very open to content creators and welcome YouTubers, streamers, and the like to the unit. Hi, We're Onepixel and we're looking for your feedback on our proposal. We'd like to create a East and West German Based Roleplay Server for Arma 3. Before we start on such an endeavour we'd like to gain some feedback on if you'd like to see things like this, alongside the best ways you think we could do it. We won't go into much detail as to the specifics of the server because we want that to be guided by the community. This is why we've attached a survey. Once the survey is complete and based upon the feedback we'll start developing this, alongside opening a Discord. We have the expertise required in Server Management, Business and Community Management to bring this kind of thing to Arma, all we need now is your feedback. I can tell you that we're planning on creating an authentic experience that will aim to be as realistic as possible. "When civilization ends, it ends fast" - Tobias Greetings everyone! Today I'm here to share with you my biggest project yet. Operation Cobalt. What is Operation Cobalt? I'm sure we can all agree there is a lack of "good" FPS/TPS games based in The Walking Dead universe, with very few that even give a glimpse of the Army/Gov in action. Operation Cobalt is an apocalyptic life and milsim based in The Walking Dead universe, using RAVAGE as a base, and attempts to portray the efforts of the Military in a roleplay and milsim environment. Operation Cobalt is the name given to the plan devised by the U.S. Military in order to contain the spread of the infection. The initial stage of Operation Cobalt was initiated three days after the initial outbreak began in the U.S.A., with the deployment of military units into major urban areas (such as Los Angeles, California or Atlanta, Georgia) after the outbreak overwhelmed local law enforcement. Once deployed, the units would set up easily defensible 'Safe Zones' in urban areas such as Safe Zone India in Los Angeles or around the CDC in Atlanta. Medical facilities and refugee centers, such as those in the Los Angeles Arena and Raynard Community College, would also be set up to secure those believed to be infected, provide screenings for the injured and sick, and to act as bases of operations. Once these areas were set up, the safe zones would be used as a spring board to try to take back major metropolitan areas. The plan for the initial stage of Operation Cobalt can be described as follows: Selected, easily defensible areas to be chosen for safe zones. Medical facilities to be established for treating the ill and possibly infected. Those brought to the medical facilities would be held in custody until either seen by a doctor or symptoms of the infection manifested. Those who have either turned or showed signs of infection are to be humanely terminated, with their bodies being cremated. National Guard/Army units to use safe zones to retake city. You RP one of two roles (You can swap between them): Military and civilian. Military personnel have to enforce laws, ensure safety in safezones, conduct missions, and attempt to take the region back from the dead and rebuild civilization. Civilians are basic survivors who must choose between a safe life within the safezones, resort to baditry, or start their own community away from the safezones. In an effort to combine Milsim, Roleplay, and Zombie Survival, Operation Cobalt is the first ever gamemode meant to immerse the players into a heavy Roleplay environment based in the VERY EARLY stages of the zombie apocalypse, offering players an experience never before seen in Arma 3 while witnessing the fall of society. Rather than throwing the players into an open world with the basic survival mechanics with no real idea of who you are or what you're supposed to do, Operation Cobalt puts the players into one of two sides, where the civilians are free to start their own factions and communities while fighting the undead, pesky bandits, and struggling for survival in the beloved universe of The Walking Dead, and the soldiers need to enact Operation Cobalt. This mode allows you to play as someone we barely ever see in zombie games: The government. They will have to coordinate and execute side missions and large military objectives to eliminate the undead threat. While also having to worry about Civil-control, settlement management (Think State of Decay-Style), base and community building, and even combating the local resistance, both AI and real bandit players. Features Two playable factions, each with their own dynamics, shops, playstyles, events, bases, and equipment. Authentic roleplay environment. 120 max players. Extensive base building with different options based on which faction a player is in. Highly modified Ravage zombies with custom sounds and DayZ animations. (Configured as a replacement mod for Ravage) New weapons and items such as an AR-15, Thermometer gun, fishing pole, pickaxe, hammer, and dozens of food and drink items. Hunger and thirst. Arma 2 animations and terrain walking sounds. Mining, picking apples trees and mushrooms, fishing, hunting, and cooking. Customized ACE system, including easier and better medical. ACE can be fully customized to suit your liking under Options --> Addon Options --> Server --> ACE Stuff. Extensive lore based in The Walking Dead universe, with nods to the show and eastereggs. Weapon, item, gear, and vehicle shops with trading. Money, XP, ranking, and kill tracker systems. Full persistence if the server owner has INIDBI2 enabled. Bandit and friendly AI. And over a dozen more features currently planned and in development! How can I play? Arma 3 Fishers Life Norway is a group underneath Arma 3 Fishers Life Official (USA/English). We are a group of people who play the mod, but our main language is Norwegian. A3FL Norway is being led by Jon and Magnus who has been doing community leadership for a while now. The server is an RP server with a lot of custom made mods and is still being updated every day for the better. What can we offer? Hello! Now, I am kind of new to the "running arma 3 server" scene but have ran certain servers before. The Arma 3 Life scene for awhile was stagnant and there was too much of a variety to choose from and the variety honestly had little to no development that actually improved the experience in game. I have been a member of life servers for over 4 years now, being on many different communities and experiencing a lot of good, bad, and frustrating times. This is why I am trying to bring back Arma 3 life to it's former glory, in 2019 it's hard to think of a good FREE server to play on besides Altis Life and maybe City Life. But I don't want Altis, or Lakeside as the map. I want a fresh brand new map built from the ground up. A place where people can experience for the first time and explore many different locations. I want fresh mods customized to bring the best roleplay experience to the community. Custom building, possibly, and custom scripts. Now, a few things are is that I NEED HELP. Specifically with development, scripting, and hosting the server. What host should I use to run the server if my connection isn't the best (because college internet). 2. How We Train In order to assure that our members meet certain requirements, we provide full training and informational courses. Training begins the moment you are approved for it, with Marine Corps Recruit Training. Once applicants complete it, they will be made official members of the unit and be assigned to a squad within the unit. From there, they will begin SOI, or School of Infantry. All of our NCOs and officers receive specific training depending on their rank/rate and their job within the unit. Once you get to the website, be sure to register an account so that you may fully utilize the site. Filling out an application is easy, once registered, fill out the application which is a box type application and be honest. We do have a strict age limit, 17+, the reason is that we are older, so we are being generous by accepting 17 years of age and this will be a MATURE age. SBS Fenrir Company is a European based unit which aims to have realistic intentions and having fun.
