  1. I recently was told that ArmA 3 will only launch with 1 fixed wing aircraft.. This seems very small to me and I am rather dissapointed. So BIS, why only one?

    Dear community, On this day we can finally share our plans for the rest of the year! You’ve all survived a long period of unclear and absent information, an insane and unpredictable incident in Greece, and most recently some news not all of you were too happy about. But now I'm incredibly excited to announce ... In less than a week’s time, on Tuesday March 5th, we are releasing our Arma 3 Alpha! :cool: Quick links FREQUENTLY Asked Questions :icon_evil: Edition comparisons Alpha briefing This is one of those things we would not have been able to do without the decision to go with Steam. Now we are finally able to deliver on our promise to release a public Alpha version to you. We think it’s a very cool package with lots of potential. Worry not if the current playable content is a little limited. You all know the Arma platform and what it can do. We will expand the content ourselves and there will be a large amount of extra content for the Q3 2013 release. Why do we concentrate on quality of quantity now? We want to focus your testing and feedback in certain areas - in this case on infantry first. Perhaps the thing I am most enthusiastic about: we are not restricting modding in this version, in fact we encourage it. Create and share scenarios, weapons, vehicles, systems and anything else you can think of. Together we can make the full game release later in the year mind-blowing for those who join us then. A slight caution: we cannot prevent having to still make large changes in our data during Alpha and Beta. This could mean your mission or add-on needs to be updated because we change a config class name for example. We cannot sacrifice that level of internal flexibility until the full release. Check out the new website for all the information. I will personally try to provide more updates on the forums from this point onward. In last ACE builds you fixed artillery random, its very good) but i found a couple mistakes in last builds: 1)81mm mortar absolutely have no damage 2)damage of 60mm mortar equal damage of underbarrel grenade launcher. i dont know about 60mm damage in real life, but i think it greater than underbarrel grenade....

    Arma 3 - Supporter Medals

    Dear Arma 3 Supporters, The Supporter Medals are now connected to the forum accounts of (most) people who purchased the Arma 3 Supporter Edition. If it doesn't appear, please make sure that your registered e-mail addresses (for the forums and Store.bistudio.com) correspond. If not, we'd recommend to change one of these e-mail addresses so it matches the other. Please note that we're updating the Supporter list daily, which means that it might take some time for the Supporter Medal to pop up afterwards.

We were blown away by the amount of user missions up within hours of release, and enjoyed playing with some of you on public servers! :cool: We do want to add some clarity to the concept of forward-porting Arma 1 / 2 content into Arma 3, so here are some guidelines to keep in mind: In general, you cannot simply redistribute data we shipped with previous games. The only data that is governed by special licenses are the sample packages. There are other, and accepted, ways of merging Arma 1 / 2 content into Arma 3. This is handled by releasing new add-ons that merge the content people already own via configuration files. We are working on an officially supported approach for later (similar to TKOH's Rearmed). We urge you to treat each other's work with respect. Please ask for permission before you take someone's mod and port it. Thank you for understanding. We look forward to all the awesome creations you are producing, and have several supporting packages being published as we speak!

  9. I have a unit that I placed in the map editor, and I was wondering how to tie them into a script such as... Player_Array = [ [P1,P2,P3,P4,P5,P6], [P7,P8,P9,P10,P11,P12] ]; The names of the units being P1...P12. Also how to removeWeapons (for example) from a specific using the select command.

    Gunner seat bug

    Hi, Gunner seat in some vehicules is bugged, when a vehicule is moving we can't shot, the view of gunner's seat is too laggy :s.
  11. Hi community! Unfortunately you've had to wait for a while for any news on Arma 3. Today we've published a brief update on our website about the project. I realize it may not be the news you were hoping for, and there are not many details as of yet. In all honesty, even we are still in the dark about various aspects, but please stick around for more information in the new year.   12. I'm trying to make a mission somewhat based on Homer Johnston's Operation Mongoose (Link) for lower player counts. 1. I'm trying to make it so that, after the in-game mission briefing, 1 player (me) should be able to make his group teleport into the sky (via addaction-flagpole) for a parachute jump. Right now, i'm able to do this for 1 player only, not for a group. It doesn't have to be from a plane. 2. If possible i would like the teleport to be somewhat random. The group should teleport to a different place everytime the mission is replayed. 3. Is there any possibility to make the players inside the group teleport a minimum of distance away from eachother? So they don't fly too close to eachother and to make sure the players need to find eachother and regroup after landing. 4.Currently i'm doing this without any HALO script, but i would like the players to be able to know their height ASL while falling, is there any easy way to add this? Thx for the help!
