  1. For some reason the game and editor got really laggy since the latest update of main branch yesterday. I am using a lot of mods but that has been no issue what so ever until yesterday. Has anyone the same issues?

    Chernarus Needs Horses! I have the system!

    Just an idea for alternative transportation: ITEM BUILD SYSTEM: 4x ropes = a lasso 2x cow leather = saddle 1x cow leather + 1 rope = reins 4x cow leather + 2x ropes saddle bags A pick axe for mining rocks for iron ore A crucible for smelting rocks into metal ingots A workshop with an anvil in some industrial areas that can be used to forge horse shoes Placing ingot on anvil allows to use a hammer to make a horseshoe 4 horseshoes can be applied to horse with 24x nails Cowboy Boots, (Spurred Cowboy Boots and Cowboy gloves gives better control of geared horses) as new items THE HORSES: The catch is to create a lasso to catch a horse, but you must first have a base and an enclosed fence for it. Feeding your horse apples and keeping a trough filled with water is how you keep it (you can't drink from it without purifying it or you'll get sick). A trough can be built from planks and nails. The horses come in three colors: brown, black and white (rare). Brown Horse: Best strength for carrying items. Best food and water conservation at the cost of speed while mounted. Black Horse: Mid-strength, mid-speed, but consumes more food and water while mounted. White Horse: Fastest, but weakest strength, consumes the most food and water while mounted. A horse can be injured, bandaged, even killed by players, zombies, wolves and bears. They can be killed for its meat, bones and skin. HOW TO CATCH A HORSE / STEALING A PLAYER'S HORSE: Requires throwing a fruit in the vicinity of a horse to attract it, then aiming your lasso, then throwing it. Success is random. Certain fruits are better than others, allowing less or more time to capture. If the horse is not geared (most likely caught in the wild) and the player doesn't have reins, the player must walk it. A horse can be rode without the saddle, but causes injury to the player much in the same way running without shoes. If a player is killed while mounted, the other player only has a few seconds to grab the reins, or else the horse (if fully geared) will run back home (only have a specified number of hours as been accumulated riding a horse as a from of building trust). All others will run off and time out, unless you throw fruit in its vicinity.

  5. Note: I'm not having an issue with the base game (all add-ons disabled) after the last update at the time of this post: Hotfix 1.82 ArmA3 vers, 1.82.144710, I'm getting a few script errors. Seems every major update for A3 breaks the mods. I don't blame BIS for that. But some people are saying to go to CUP's website and download the add-ons because the workshop can't handle huge files. Some are saying that BIS never anticipated such large downloads. What ever the cause, I thought the whole point of using the workshop was the have your mods kept up to date automatically. Has anyone else experienced this when adding CUP assets into the editor and then playing the game? No Entry 'bin\config.bin/CUP_D_RadarProtocal_RU/SentConvering.'. There's also another error I'm getting that's freezing the game temporary until the error leaves the screen. Something about a Transit function. Again, everything was fine till this last main update to A3. These CUP mods are HUGE, I don't what to have to download them all again, but I guess I don't have a choice. The only mods I'm running are CUP, CBA, Eden settings and RedHammer. These are are workshop subscriptions. I've tried the Repair feature on each and every mod. Everything show OK for the status. I don't know what to do with this, and ArmA3 is getting to be more work then it's fun. I'm always trying to fix things after each major update. Maybe I just need to turn updates off once everything is working and not update again until everything settles. EDIT Well I just downloaded all the CUP add-ons, added them manually to the launcher options, and I'm still getting bin, function.. ect..ect errors. Like I said, every time there is an update to ArmA3, something gets broke. I don't remember dealing with this as often back in the A2 days. I'm getting sick of spending all my time trouble shooting this game. BIS, stop releasing DLC's and focus on compatibility. 22 years I've been playing this since OFP, and I'm about to hang it up with this title.

  7. Hi, im new at this Forum. I have used the search function but dident find anything what is helping me. I ask me if it gives a way to encrypt the .pbo file. That just People that i wand can open it. I wand to encrypt them to safe my work. It gives things then skins or scripts that i dident wand sharing. And normal each user ther gomes on the server downloading the mission file, and he can open it. I wand to encrypt them that the user diden`t can open it. Gives it a way to encrypt the .pbo or is there no way? I hope you understand me and sry for my ba english
  8. So, I came from the city to my home. I start playing arma 3 and realize that the microphone just doesn't work. This worked in all other applications. I've done anything, it's literally everything. I even reinstalled Windows, nothing helped. It works in the 32-bit version. But this is not the solution to the problem.   9. Please please please bohemia you need to sort out being able to ban xbox players. It is sullying the experience for many people. Allowing the, although few, players who keep on trolling by Shooting out tires on supply trucks/destroying vehicles at spawn hindering match progress, and now, with free building, using up supply's at the start of the match too stop progress. Also using grenades to TK at spawn and then themselves respawning to avoid negative ranking to avoid a temp ban. Spamming proximity and radio with nonsense and racist comments, spaming text chat with racist comments. Please do something or at least update us on some progress to fix this issue. You will lose players otherwise and with the limited amount of people playing I don't think you can afford to lose many. Today I hopped on, as soon as I joined I noticed a players name and knew the match and matches thereafter would be filled with trolling and greifing. I knew that once that player would be temp banned eventually he would just return with on of his many alt accounts, of which I have captured video evidence of from a previous match. The guy then when on an alt and did the same stuff to the opposing side. The same game there were at least three people actively tolling and greifing make gameplay pretty much impossible. Fix it it.
  10. We have a free building system in the game where we are able to build up checkpoints and place some assets and compositions down. I was thinking why not add more assets? The options we have right now are relatively limited anyways. I have been asking for this a while a now through the feed back option from the menu in the game already. I think we need to be able to place more objects into the game, and with the final strike update introducing mortars in reforger we need a place to put them in, Maybe something like a mortar pit that is dug down a little bit beneath the top layer of the map? Amongst that, I say more importantly we need plain old trenches! Think of all the ways a trench / trenches, can improve the somewhat stagnant; repetitive gameplay of your average conflict match. I’ll give some examples… •Adding cover to open areas •Higher chance of survivability •Greater defensive success with or without trench having ability to add machine gun turrets from it • Discreetness •Pure awesomeness Defending in my opinion is almost non existent when a large hostile force comes to steam role you and your 4 man squad at Simons wood where you have next to no cover most times except for the little plot of trees behind you or the house to the north of the point. This can be a common issue with other objectives as well. With the trench system you can strategically place defensive trenches either close to your base or a few hounded meters away and open fire from that position at the dirty dogs trying to over take your point you just fully supplied. (This would be a bonus if you could add spawns points only on trench’s within range of base.) Lets talk about the potential accessories you could pimp your trench out with. •Overhead camouflage netting for when the helicopters FINALLY arrive LOL •Machine gun post •Sand bags •Barbed wire •Munitions boxes for regular small arms ammunition, explosives and even light artillery rounds for the mortar. •Lanterns •Radios How you would build the trench is simple. the mechanic is in the game currently when using the supply truck. All you need to do is drive to where ever you want to set up and start building once of course you have acquired the supplies needed. the basic trench is cheap enough but will still leave a dent from your 1000 supplies. The basic trench would consist of a wood reinforced pit with no added accessories. 300 Supplies. Added over head netting would cost 400. want a turreted machine gun in there? 650 what about the machine gun, netting, sand bags barbed wire and munitions box with spawn point? 1000 some might say that cost too much, I think it does to an extent , but it will keep people from building them literally every where. One idea I had with this free build trench system was when building; you get to choose the length and depth of your choice within certain limitations. Obviously you can’t make a 20ft deep trench. As you expand the trench length wise it will of course cost more supplies. Anyways this was my idea. I really hope the arma devs would implement this one day. I hope you guys share my interest and would raise attention to this much needed feature! Arma 4 will need this. does anyone know if the devs even read these or anyone whose involved with arma reforger? please please please spread the idea around and make this stick out like a sore thumb 👍🏻

  12. So i tried to play Arma 3 after seeing that 3,7GB update but i can't connect to servers because of "wrong version of the game". This is the same for the modded and not-modded version. Veryfication of local data doesn't work too.
  13. Morning, Just looking through the notes and I can't find anything about there being a stealth bomber now delivering the air drops, did you find one hidden down the back of the sofa ? Please bring back the plane that drops the crate as being able to hear the plane meant you knew it was arriving as opposed to maybe seeing the message at the bottom of the screen - which you aren't always looking at if you're currently being shot at. My problem is the workshop continuously trying to update, it is fine but as soon as I subscribe to one single mod in the workshop it goes crazy and continuously tries to update a zero byte file, the only way to get it to stop is to delete all the mods, I have uninstalled steam and Arma twice now but the problem returns as soon as I pick any mod and subscribe to it, here is a short youtube video of the problem https://youtu.be/jz4Ri0HlWbo As you can see it goes so fast it flickers with its constant download tries, it also uses 20% ish cpu power and continues even if I start a game, my settings are to stop downloads when in game, I'm pulling my hair out over this and have spent hours searching google, steam and these forums for an answer, if anyone can help me with this I would be so grateful.   24. Hi, First of all, im sorry if something on the post isn't understandable, im spanish, but ill do my best to explain my question. ArmA 3 has right now a lot of attachments for the guns; i've seen from dlc to mods a lot of customization. But for now, the guns only have a few ways to be customizable. I know that (for example) SPAR-15 is a shorter cannon version of the SPAR-17, so basically you can "customize" the barrel lenght (by changing weapon). But its something that i would like change myself; not by changing weapons, but changing the cannon's lenght. I don't know if this feature (and more, obviusly) will be added in a future update (I really doubt it) or in the next Arma game. Thanks in advance
