I have a question regarding the new DLC Laws of War and the showcase mission In the showcase where you get to try out CAS and choose the right one without killing civilian you can choose what kind of bomb the incoming jet gets to use. For examble you can order the new cluster bomb. But i dont seem to find any way to edit the CAS module so that the selected bomb is used. I can only choose between guided and unguided. I know if you choose an non virtual CAS provider with artillery you can choose the type of ammo but why not with planes. Hope someone knows more about scripting than me or knows how they did it in the showcase. PS. I know theres a way to force the plane to use a specific kind of weapon by disabling all others but that doesnt seem to work with virtual Provider.

Hi guys, I have a problem with weapon 3, when I try to start a mission of any campaign, the game automatically starts me the first mission of the Laws of war DLC. Instead the scenarios work perfectly. I tried uninstalling the DLC from the game by deactivating the installation from steam, but then I had problems starting arma 3, so I reinstalled everything with the steam file integrity check, but the problem persists. I also tried finishing all the DLC missions to see if the bug would go away, but no dice. I've already tried asking for help on the Arma 3 steam and reddit community but no one really answered me, I hope someone here can help me.

Good morning, I just recently bought ArmA 3, so I started through the campaigns. Thing is, there's a point in Laws of War campaign where you need to lay some mine dispensers, but I can't seem to be able to do so. Have tried other things such as charges in the VR Arsenal, and everything works fine, but the APERS Mine Dispenser. The character does the animation as if it was laying the mine, but it doesn't acutally appear on the terrain, nor dissapear from my backpack. Tried looking for similar problems here in the forum, but I couldn't find any topic about it. Thanks in advance!

Cluster bombs (submunitions) force early cluster deployment
Lala14 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS - CONFIGS & SCRIPTING
I've been wondering if there is a way to make cluster bombs or submunition based ammo to deploy earlier than expected. I have tried to do setDamage 1 on the ammo but this doesn't cause the submunitions to deploy. I think this may be something Bohemia may need to add for this to work unless someone else has a better idea!- 2 replies

Laws of War Showcase : Collateral Damage (Steam achievement)
Baraz posted a topic in ARMA 3 - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
This is a very minor thing, but it might be an oversight (not as designed). Having zero civilian VR casualties, therefore zero collateral damage, does not give the Steam achievement, unless you also have zero soldier casualties on your side. If a few VR soldiers on your side falls, it blocks this achievement. Considering the purpose of this DLC and the content, if the user applies the rules of engagement and laws of war explained, it should congratulate the player with the Steam achievement. An armed combatant, fallen in the line of duty, should not count. Am I wrong ? (i.e. Did I have a civilian causality and did not notice? Pretty sure I would have failed the mission outright if that was so) -
Just want to put this out there in case anyone else is experiencing this. I've been using Zeus on the multiplayer server I play on with no issues for a few months and ever since the Laws of War update I can't use the map without my game crashing while using it. I can open the map and change camera positions once, beyond that any time I open the map it crashes my game instantly and references a memory issue. I have no problems operating Zeus as long as I don't use the map, but slipping up means restarting the game. Anyone else dealing with this?

Hi there. As the DLC "Laws of war" is about to be released (although already available in dev-branch), I'm just curious about your opinion. As for now, many countries have signed the Geneva convention and (try to) respect the laws of war. However, as stated even in the DLC, these are just theory. Things can definitely change IRL. As for what we know today, (Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc...) many conflicts are not 1 army vs 1 army / 1 country vs 1 country. Nowadays, we have more and more 1 army vs insurgents - which is quite diffcult to handle. Hence, the laws of war may not fit the current state of warfare - it was adapted once, but very difficult to actually adapt to modern conflicts. So, do you think: 1) the laws of war as we know do fit in the reality of today's warfare? 2) it is sometimes acceptable not to follow them? 3) a modern army can actually win an asymetrical war/conflict by following the laws of war when the enemy doesn't? Just as an example: - what to do when the enemy is using a school or a hospital as stronghold with sniper and mortar nests? - can you consider the death of civilian acceptable to ensure the safety/success of a mission (for example, to ensure they don't raise the alarm)? Note: I made this poll non-public so people can't know the opinion of others - so do not hesitate to vote!

ArmA 3 Laws of War - Whereabouts of Chernarus
pipewr3nch posted a topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
In the ArmA 3 DLC "Laws of War"'s showcase "IDAP" you can examine a "survivor's stories" info display. This display shows that the location of Chernarus is at the Caspian Sea. My question is: What happened to the Green Sea? -
Hi there. In the last OPREP we can see there were several ideas I'm just curious: what were they? What could this DLC have been instead of Laws of war? Thanks

G'day Thought I'd quickly create this for people to provide feedback for the DLC if you're trying it on the Dev Branch, also as other DLCs have had their feedback threads. I'm downloading the update now, but just reading that there is cluster bombs has gotten me a chub, so I'm keen! EDIT: Unless a Dev of course wants to do their own official DLC feedback thread, that go ahead and do that! All good :)
