  1. Recently I encountered such a problem that the name of the mission in the scenario menu is displayed incorrectly, although everything returns to normal when it starts up.   3. I would like to introduce you to a 17 years old issue that exists across the whole Arma series, A3 included. It is one of the oldest Real Virtuality engine bug and it has not been addressed since OFP release back in 2001. I wish this post could reach BI devs so one day the problem would finally be solved. Arma3 is ahead of its final roadmap that will lead to its EOL (End-Of-Life). While there were other priorities across the development cycle in recent years, now it seems to be the right time to take care of it. A bug/issue: I have recorded a short and entertaining video that explains what it is all about: The issue has already been mentioned in a number of A3 Feedback Tracker tickets: Fallen Trees Have No Collision Fallen objects have no collision detection with characters or bullets. Ai see through fallen vegetation and objects Pointing out some interesting comments/notes from these tickets: Keeping Main Geometry (Geometry) for fallen static objects may negatively influence behaviour of AI (especially AI drivers). Vehicles may not be able to drive through / will collide with the fallen objects. Lack of geometries for fallen static objects is performance-friendly. My answers/suggestions to the aforementioned remarks: If Main Geometry of fallen static objects causes improper behaviour of AI or vehicles collide with them, then Main Geometry should be ignored. However, Fire Geometry and View Geometry should be kept to provide basic feature of cover & concealment. Undeniably. However, performance-wise argument could make sense back in OFP times, not in 2018. Unnoticeable performance boost is totally overshadowed by disadvantages the issue introduces into the game (especially for PvE scenarios).   4. I can't detect some mines. I've read that detection distance depends on class, but this is literally as the mine detection guy in the first mission of Laws of War. I'm getting within what has to be 2 meters. I'm looking directly at it... This is not specific to this one mine, and it does not go away on restart. For most mines, all I do is look at them and it detects them. For 5-8 in this mission, I just can't detect them. Am I doing something wrong? I can't get past this mission without "detecting all mines." Gotta expand that newbie screen... Confusing that it identifies them by looking sometimes, but sometimes you have to use T. It'd be better if you made it all one way or the other. If I identify the first small ones I look at without any interaction other than looking at them, it makes me think "I don't need to look at the help thing, I know how to do it, because I just did it." ... Then I make stupid posts that waste people's time.
  5. Hi all I have an issue with my textures once Buldozer launches. My layers.cfg is perfectly fine and to my knowledge my textures have been converted to PAA from TGA via TexView so I don' think they're the cause. Any input or feedback on this issue would be great as I don't have a clue what could cause this. I personally think its the Sampler section of my mapframe as seen below, can you guys tell me if these values are correct or incorrect please. This is the issue I see in Buldozer so any help is appreciated.

Just to make sure - has any of you experienced the black screen issue since our last update? - Black Screen at the beginning of the encounter - gets you stuck at the waiting for players note (Last update happened at November 7th - you can read the patch notes right here: We believe that this issue was already taken care of. Hi guys, i m working on making a gendarmerie insignia with "Arma 3 Unit Insignia" but i have a little texture bug : ingame my insignia got a little withe round circle (that i dont want) but in photoshop and texview2 it dosent have it so i dont know what to do, i already put some black paint on the contour (photoshop) but it dosent change anything. I done everthing explain in this video but it still buged. So If anyone could help me I would really appreciate. ty Original 128x128 pixel PNG insignia :

    Horrible Shooting Bug

    Theres this horrible bug or glitch that on fully auto guns, when you start shooting then start tap shooting on full auto, the gun just doesnt fire so you have to wait like 2 secs and then start shooting again for it to work, this has happened to me loads and got me killed so many times. Also, sometimes when i start shooting, the gun fires but there are no visual or audio signs that show im shooting, it usually disappears after a minute or 2 but its got me killed before aswell cos i thought my gun wasnt firing. PLEASE fix this, the game just feels clunky atm

I noticed that for any of the maps where the vertical scale on the left increases from top to bottom (instead of the default bottom to top), like for example on any of the Chenarus and Sahrani maps, that there is a glitch with the coordinates. The zoomed in coordinates do not match those when zoomed out. To reproduce, open the map United Sahrani and zoom out until the contour interval changes from 10m to 20m. Place your cursor so that the cursor horizontal line is in line with one of the 2 digits on the left (example 10 in line with the town of Paraiso). So that horizontal should correspond to 100 if I convert to a 3 digit reference. Now zoom in one step closer without adjusting the position of your mouse, so that the contour interval changes from 20m to 10m. You will see on the left is now indicated 109, instead of 100 !!! Put in another way, if someone is given a 6 digit grid coordinate on this map, for example 075 095, but they found this coordinate while they were zoomed out to 20m contour inerval, then if the person who is plotting that coordinate is zoomed in to 10m contour interval and they plot that position, they will incorrect by 1km to the North. Before replying with angry rants - just do a test yourselves on Chenarus and Sahrani and any other maps where the coordinates do not increase from top to bottom, and left to right (the positive xy quadrant on a Cartesian coordinate system).
  10. So I installed arma 3 on my pc and everytime I load up arma 3 this display is with it. And it's just arma 3 it happens to no other games. Idk what it is or how to get removed it. It's just there.. Anyway I've tried reinstalling the game and it's still hear. The only way to get rid of it is by going into the steam file finding arma 3 in the steam file and loading up the game like that.. However by doing that it doesn't alow me to play on public servers and wants me to open battleye. When I do that it send me to the arma 3 main menu and with the weird displays on my screen. Now when I screenshotted it. The weird stuff on my screen wasn't in the screenshot. Idk what to do or how to fix this.. If anyone could help me out that would be great. Also these weird displays are a audio boost that on the right of my screen and it says radar signals, full range, bass only, medium only, treble only. And a radar thing on the left of the screens

    Minor Bugs and Annoyances

    Starting with the most obvious, When you start a game, your gun has full ammo plus what you took, the starting ammo, when you leave will be in your inventory and cannot be taken out. The knife will stop stabbing after two stabs. The Mosin. when you pull back the bolt it has no noise and when aiming has no animation which makes it hard to know when you can shoot again. Can you please make the ammo stationary in the stash? The larger number at the stop makes it to where when i try to take bullets out i stop taking the one i wanted

    User can't play online

    I don't my game is dead when i go in vigor the game just said "User can't play" my friend can't play too and we don't no why ...
  14. So, yesterday i switched from EXPL, LNCR, SLCR to MRKS,AMMO,DSNR. Today i wanted to switch back and pressed ESC to cancel the loadout. After changing perks, when i pressed "change loadout", the primary weapons list was empty while i was equipped with the default TRG. The twist is that under the list it said that i am fully equipped with other stuff (machine gun, launcher, handgun)...! Note 1: This only happens with primary weapons list. Note 2: Happens with all servers. Note 3: Restarting game doesn't change the state of issue. Quick update : Making a new profile and switching to it, won't change anything. Quick update 2: Validating game files through steam also no change.

  16. Is that something known? Any solution exist? Footage: If I set series of r2t cameras for the player, then do same for u1 unit, some of u1 unit textures turns black instead. Then, if I remove r2t from the player, the only working r2t textures for u1 turn black too. All r2t turn black if you activate splendid cam. Note also weird splendind cam behavior (view switch), when launched during activating cameras sequence. Used repro. EDIT: a theory - excluding splendid cam it may have something to do with some hardcoded limitation in amount of r2t used simulatanously. When at the last part I'm using this: _x cameraEffect ["Terminate","BACK",(format ["rendersurface%1%2",_foreachIndex,""])]; instead of: _x cameraEffect ["Terminate","BACK"]; black textures on u1 gradually start to show proper image as cameras are terminated on the player textures. This theory is confirmed by a fact, if I reduce amount of r2t for the player, equally more are properly displayed on u1. That limit seems to be 8. If that's actually a limit, can it be lifted/raised? There's also weird splendid cam behavior to be explained.

    My gun jams

    This has happened 3 times so far to me and i have lost 2 aks and 1 m4 because my gun won’t fire. The bullet counter goes down but the gun is silent and no bullets come out this bug is starting to get on my nerves because i only needed one m4 to get the blueprint please help

    Looting bug

    I noticed last night, there was a player in the water near the boat docks behind a building slowly making his way to the extraction point. I saw and killed him well before he made it to the pile of bricks (I saw his character fall over and die) When I jumped into the water, I was right on top of his body and could not loot his box. I could see it, and see his body still but couldn't loot his box. I'm guessing there's a bug to where you can't loot boxes that are in the water? Has this been brought up already? Just trying to help. Thanks guys! Having a blast on your game!!

    Stuck on map screen

    It basically is loaded because I can hear noises in the background and I see the feed at the bottom of the screen but it won't get off the map screen. If I do manage to get pass, it then takes forever to load then times out. I could really use the help I haven't played in months. (same results with and without mods)
  21. First of all, congratulations for the game, the basic idea it's fantastic and I can not wait to see how the game will continue to develop. I bought the game preview on xbox, and I hope to see the full game soon. I love the system you used to avoid making everyone "Rambo" running around and not caring about tactics and dangers. Dying and losing everything makes the tension rise, but at the same time give the freedom to leave when one wants to allow anyone to get a loot anyway. I noticed that there are some bugs, like the automatic weapon that locks up during automatic fire. And only in PVP mode. In the shelter everything works fine, the same problem I had with all the automatic weapons. As for the ideas to give you, it would be nice to allow a group of 2 or 3 people to take refuge together and play in a team. Customize some weapons, give a little more time to look for loot before radiation arrives. Offer a little more chest launches. Being able to surrender so as not to lose everything that was taken, sharing the loot if yu surrended. (I do not know if it would create some sort of exploit, but it could be an idea.) Improve the Spawn system to not be already with an armed enemy behind the back. A pair of binoculars to study the area. I hope it has been helpful. Continue on this path anyway, because the potential is enormous. Good job.

    Arma 3 Launcher wont start

    So my friends arma 3 launcher wont start giving the following message: Unexpected error occured, "Set property "system.windows.FrameworkElement.Style" threw an exception But the weird thing is that he can play arma III by opening it via its installation location. We want to play arma with mods but i cant find another way to play with mods without launching the launcher He has a legit copy of arma III and we have played it with launcher but after he updated his windows 7 to windows 10 it gives the error We tried: -uninstalling the game -Running as administrator -Deleting every data file of arma* -Searching the web for help but nothing helped but sadly we cant figure out how and why this happens Does anybody else got this in the past and how did you fix it?
  23. Hello, i'm developing a King of the Hill mission at the moment and encountered an issue. The mission is running on a dedicated machine and everything is selfmade except extdb3 for the database connection. So the problem now is: When i'm trying to pick up items on the ground it won't let me do this with the scroll menu. Normally you can pick it up with the scroll menu, either by selecting "inventory" or by selecting "take ......". I hope you get what i mean. The same appears when i'm trying to open ammo crates or other kind of crates. it just won't let me do that. The scroll menu just won't appear. The point is, there's no error, no indicator why i keep getting this bug. I've also tried this in 3den editor. While i'm in editor the bug (or glitch) isn't there, so everything works normally. And the second problem is, the vests a player equips keep disappearing. i guess this has do to something with this "no scoll menu" bug. because there is no error or log entry aswell. Hope you guys can help me, thanks.

    Can't Pick up crate in water
