Arma 3 crashing after 30mins - a couple of hours consistently

I'm having a consistent issue in which playing any mode or scenario ( quicker in intensive multiplayer servers) where Arma 3 will freeze essentially locking me out of my computer, where I will then need to do a hard manual restart. I have so far monitored the temperature of my laptop before and after this issue occurs, and the cpu never gets above 60 degrees and the gpu 70 degrees. I mostly believe the problem is to do with enough RAM, I have 16gb (although with nothing open at desktop it says 6gb in use, which I'm unsure of why). I tried manually increasing virtual memory allocation (set initial paging file to 20gb, max 30gb) I have attached the most recent normal freeze rpt file. I have been trying to find a solution to this for a while now. I stream and wanted to stream Arma and SP was my go to. So I have some mission by Tomahawk and others I play and about an hour or so I freeze hard into the stream and can't alt-tab out its a complete reboot. Any ideas I can send my pc specs and all rpts needed I just need to figure out what's up I have did two reinstall's and wipes. I don't know what else to do.

I'm having a few problems with ARMA 3 (only arma 3), i have tried a lot of things but can't solve. 1° After a random time playing, the video freezes, or turns into a black screen, requiring hardreset. [FIXED: Changed the game to start at 32bit plataform] 2° The GPU is being used 100% all the time (even in Main menu) [FIXED: Enabling Vsync] 3° The temperature reaches about 83°C (only game that i play that reaches this temp) [FIXED: Reducing Sampling to 88%] 4° Sometimes the GPU uses more energy than the recommended (75w), the max it goes is 76.3 w, don't know if it is normal or not [FIXED: Reducing Sampling to 88%] My PC is quite new (4 months) and i have the recomended specs for ARMA 3. -Win10 -GTX 1650 4vram -I5 9400f (6 cores) -16gb ram *I also had a problem related to BSOD "genuineIntel.sys", but it was fixed, but the freezing still happening. (Reminding that these problems are only happening in ARMA 3)

Returning to Zeus from remote controling AI takes forever

Basically I like to use the editor and play as Zeus to set up scenarios on the fly. The issue is that whenever I stop controlling an AI unit (using the remote control function), the game freezes up for a minute or two before returning to the Zeus interface. Ive seen plenty of game footage where the transition is smooth and only takes a few seconds. I should also mention that going from Zeus to controlling an AI unit does not freeze the game and only takes a few seconds. Any help would be appreciated, I feel like half the time I spend playing is waiting for the game to un-freeze. -
Hello everyone. After some advice, ive been playing arma years and litearlly the other day bought a new gaming pc, and after downloading arma, and playing a few games last night on singleplayer and king of the hill, it was just fine. I load it up today and as soon as i load into a game (spawn in). The game will completely freeze, i cant use task manager as the cursor doesnt appear so i have to do a restart, ive tried a few basic things and looked some stuff up to find that nothing i do fixes it. Every other game i have works fine, i guess its just arma being arma 😞 i run it on the 64 bit ver, my basic specs -- AMD RYZEN 7 2700X 4ghz Corsair 16GB DDR4 @3000mhz MSI GEFORCE RTX 2070 ive made sure graphics driver is up to date etc... ive made sure everything is plugged in right considering its a new pc. ive tried running arma 3 as an admin in compatability mode, Nothing is overheating when attempting to play the game, nor was it last night when it was working. Ive tried un and reinstalling battle eye ive tried running a memory allocation command in the local startup thing, ive optimised all disks etc scanned for viruses etc all windows updates are done Im currently reintsalling but im not hopeful that itll work, because, its arma... Any help would be appreciated, ive been playing arma years and i dont want to stop now, especially with a new rig which i can run decent graphics settings on! Thanks!

This isnt the first time but when it has happened before i just exit the game and come back at a later time and its working fine. But all day today, ive jumped on vigor 5 times and when im in an encounter the game glitches as im running or trying to loot something or do anything and it makes me jump around all over the place. For example ill stop and look at a crate and as im holding the x button it glitches and puts me in a different position so i go back up to the crate and hold x again and it glitches and puts me in a different position again and keeps doing it. It is impossible to play like this. I hope something will be done to fix it

Hi there. I'm currently running a high-end ryzen build (ryzen 5 2600 + gtx1080 + 16GB DDR4 3000Mhz RAM + MSI x470 gaming motherboard) which is much better than a previous build I played arma on. Though I am getting much better performance in general than my old AMD build, my game freezes (no "not responding" error on windows) for about 30 seconds and then resumes. What's interesting is that thought the video and controls freeze, audio still comes through just fine. In single player, the game will stop, video freeze, and controls lock up, but I can still hear ambient sounds. In multiplayer, the video will freeze, controls lock up but I can still hear other players talk in real time, so the game is still technically working. I have absolutely no idea how to fix this. I tried verifying the game cache on steam and a few other basic troubleshooting methods but I'm lost. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Terrain builder objects moving by themselves

Hello All so i have started to play around with terrain builder working on a good size terrain but seem to have an issue when placing objects when in Buldozer i can select an object and move it then move to the next one only to see the object i have just place move by itself a few times i did wonder if it was a memory issue or CPU issue as its like its freezing or something but i have an i7 CPU and 32 GB of ram so the pc should be able to handle it This wouldnt be a problem if i was placing trees but is an issue when placing walls and buildings does anyone have any ideas that can help me ?- 1 reply

Frost dealing damage (below 0 temperature)

Hey guys, I am working on a winter misssion and was thinking if there is a way to simulate lower temperatures inducing pain unless the player is near some objects such as working vehicles, fires, inside buildings etc. As far as I'm aware, Arma does not handle lower temperatures (i.e. changing temperatures at all, to something like below zero) which would help us in sniping scenarios, where temperature does matter, but that's besides the point. If it's possible to create something like small amount of pain (ACE3 Medical) induced to the player whenever he's not around a certain type of object or potentially a specific-size-marker for a long time, that would only go away when the player is near a fireplace or in a building, that would be splendid! If someone knows a way to do it, I will be very grateful. Thanks! Adam -
When I start up Arma I get the launcher I hit the big play button and then I get to the main screen. Then when i wait 5-10 seconds then the music cuts out, and I cant click anything i and the only way I can get out of it is going into task manager (Which I have on my taskbar) So I cant play and I just bought the game 3 or 4 days ago and I haven't been able to play

Hi. I've been experiencing lag issues whenever I move. The game crawls to 5 fps before completely freezing. I googled this topic and came upon this thread that gave me the solution for it https://www.reddit.com/r/arma/comments/3deiu1/arma_3_my_game_freezesthe_fps_drops_whenever_i/ This problem has recurred but this time, the conditions are not the same. I have had Malwarebytes installed for a while now and the game ran without any problems yesterday, Any help will be highly appreciated. My specs are Intel i5 6600k Geforce GTX 960 Kingston HyperX 16GB DDR4 RAM 500GB WD Caviar Blue HDD

I'm working on a mission that doesn't have re-spawns and designed for quick firefights. My intention is to design a mission for a dedicated server with the following: If all Blufor (players) are killed, failure If time runs out, failure If all Opfor units are killed, victory Notify all players (even dead) when there is one player remaining Notify all players (even dead) when there is one enemy remaining have the same number of units and type of unit on the enemy side, i.e. 1 autorifleman blufor and 1 autorifleman opfor (shown in the initServer.sqf is already working) My experience with multiplayer scripting is limited and I'm struggling to understand why it works in local hosted multiplayer (as the host alone) but not on dedicated servers, issues include: After starting the operation using the action (see flowgraph) the LastMan.sqf will start running immediately, even with 2 blufor players Server, after starting the operation using the action, will stop updating unit positions and AI will not react. All players except yourself are running in place, coupled with sudden spikes in framerate loss when initially activated and unable to kill enemies. Enemies don't react to being shot or standing directly in front of them even. this problem isn't present on the locally hosted Possibly an issue of the server ending the mission locally but not for clients (just a guess)? Mission must still be working enough to continue the countdown timer, mission fails properly when timer reaches zero Maybe I should be getting rid of triggers entirely? But it always seemed like they synced across multiplayer better Using the trigger and (count Thislist < 2) is that when all remaining players enter one vehicle, it counts as one unit and starts the trigger Tried using setting the triggers to server only and using Bis_fnc_MP but led to the mission immediately ending upon starting the operation action Code Flowgraph Mission Source https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B85GbOCq33caWlhHNW1KcENzV00/view?usp=sharing Thanks for the help on this issue -
Gaming freezing/stuttering and reloading graphics

Hi all, I was playing around with my Arma 3 settings, and I managed to get around 40-60 fps average. But I'm getting problems where randomly I go from 60 FPS to like 3 FPS, and then the level of detail drops to the lowest and everything graphically reloads, like shadows, objects, and players. Then everything goes back to 40-60 FPS. This happens every minute. How can I stop this from happening? Also now my launcher is turning white, but eventually it goes back to normal.- 1 reply
