Congratulation on the fps rate and the stable hold when spinning around, no loss at all for me, great Also on the fps rates themselves, far better than I could ever have thought possible, running on my little old A2 pc No thanks for the fact I had bought a nice big new pc for A3, now don’t need it, or may do I suppose for Altis, who knows;) The look of the game is beautiful, no other word for it Flying around is a dream really, better than ever The actual movement anims and variety, great The sea, what can you say other than beautiful, but I don’t use it much, might later, still wonderful Thanks for the very hard work your all putting in, its much appreciated I am just now going to put soo much hope into the new purge your having on the AI behaviour. I really am keeping my fingers crossed, that at the end of this purge a more realistic sensible AI will emerge. Doesn’t have to be perfect, hope some mod/addons might help that later, but just a lot better. Because without a decent AI, well nevermind, but I appreciate the fact that its been recognised and is maybe now being thought of in a new light. We need great AI, to match your game. chortles 263 Posted July 24, 2013 ChrisB, I wouldn't get your hopes up (I personally suspect that it's going to end up being a "lifetime of the game" thing no matter how good it is at the Q3 release) but as in the other thread, I say that you should go and try to break said AI... BI needed the community at large (read: not just "a select few long-timers") to "push" things on the sheer scale that they needed for proper testing, and you might as well help "push" the AI to be as better as can be in time for said Q3 release. ;) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I don't think we appreciate the work these guys have done. the dev branch is getting a lot better too :) bigger updates! and more things added, tweaked. Suddenly (more if you open and close map fast) one GPU (usually during gameplay they are at about 60% usage each) goes like hell to 100% usage (I have seen through MSI Afterburner) and game freezes. I tried also to switch the cards, same result (of course in the other card this time). No other problems in other games of course. Thanks. Goodbye. Nothing to do with your ram per-say. Turn on, or increase the size of your PageFile. Windows 7 gets a lot of use out of the pagefile, even when it's disabled windows still reserves a small amount when needed. It's likely you have it set very low or turned off. Turning it on and increasing it to 8gb (same size as your ram) should solve your issue. If not, feel free to make a post in the troubleshooting section of the forums. Of course, you may have also stumbled into a memory leak, if you can repeat the problem watch task manager to see if the memory usage starts to climb without falling. While the game is causing windows to require more virtual memory, I don't think it's an issue of the game. Even though the issue didn't occur awhile back, the game is ever changing and newer features/content may be requiring more resources. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

twisted 128 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) This seemingly little tweak has just got even more stubborn :DIn fact it is, only the update name of the function somehow didn't make it onto Steam. The "Lock" (still with the obsolete name "Lock or zoom"), lockTarget, is no longer zooming in your view and by default is assigned to [T]. Together with "Reveal Target" ,revealTarget. The former zooming function of "Lock or zoom" is separated into "Zoom temporary", zoomTemp, which you will find in the View section and which is assigned [RMB Hold] by default. Note: Not to be confused with (zoomIn) which provides slightly different functionality, e.g. zooms in also in optics. (We'll see if a merge of those two is feasible.) Bind the new keys manually or use the default preset for ARMA 3 to see the change. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to spam me :) thanks, i was wodnering how to lock onto a heli now. one question, while you guys are tweaking keys, could you make it so that zoom in to weapon sights (usually hold RMB) can also be assigned as a toggle? i often find it hard to see figures in the distance and so once in combat always are holding RMB down. a toggle here would be nice to have if it's trivial implementation to do, if not then just keep up the good work you guys are doing. thank1 edit - doh. it already works. thanks anyway. though setting double rmb as toggle irons sigths closer does result in a funny kind of gun jig. and untoggling the sigths zoom out is a hit an dmiss affair. I thought part of the commanders job is to call out targets for the gunner?. I've done a bit more research and you do seem able to designate a target (they're just pretty bad at engaging. I need to check, but I think pagefile is 6 Gig. I solved it by switching off Windows Aero when I'm playing - I think there's an option somewhere (disable desktop composition or something similar). Used to have a similar thing - windows 7 - Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System\system properties\advanced\performance options and select "adjust for bet performance" Desktop looks not as pretty but it will help a little I think. People, no problem with LOD of lighting on the road between Agia Marina and the airfield ? or arround the gate in Agia Marina.
