Hi all

Any word of how big the Takistan map is going to be?

Looks like infinite land just got interesting.

Honestly, we no more care about map size. The terrain is virtually INFINITE and try to imagine the possibilities with random town generator module for example ;)

Please wait for another previews coming as we prepared lot of detailed informations for press people. However, soon it will come to the website too.

like i said like 50 pages back about the cover art: it lacks dignity.

it just is screaming in your face RAAAWR MANYLY SHOOTING AARRRGH ACTIOOOOON DEATH SPLATTER BLLOOOOOOOD GOOOOOOREEE

wrong impression of the game in my opinion.

better cover art: a solid black bakground, and only the ARMAII OA logo looming in the foreground.

its mysterious and confident. some one sees that and thinks huh, whats that?

edit: oh and yeah, all that stuff that was just released is pretty spiffy too. liked that FLIR video. looking forward to a more comprehensive features list

The content and cover are indeed a bit of a mismatch. But I don't really care...

Arma = rather classy latin name for an "elite" sandbox milsim.

Cover = Mission Battleshock Force - Ultimate Overkill Badass Company

I actually loved the OFP/resistence covers... Simple yet elegant. It tells you : this is a game where you need to think before shooting, not a a fast paced screaming shooter.

NOTE : The Arma 1 505 Games Edition in Metal box was nice though...

BIS I suggest you make a User Created Cover Award or something like this when you plan a cover for a new game. Let the Community invent some Cool Covers and then we vote the best.

BIS I suggest you make a User Created Cover Award or something like this when you plan a cover for a new game. Let the Community invent some Cool Covers and then we vote the best.

505 did that for the UK release of Queen's Gambit. In the end I much preferred the cover that the rest of the world ended up with instead.

Regardless, as soon as OA's out of the case and in my drive it'll remain there, and I probably wont see the case again until I put the DVD back inside weeks/months later, when BIS release a patch that stops disk checking. I don't really care what it looks like.

About cover: Shouting while using a silencer seems a bit off. :D

Agreed on less is more, but hey, its just a cover. ;)

EDIT: Glove freaks should be happy though. Those cover gloves look pretty neat.

Did anyone notice that the Corporal on the Operation Arrowhead is aiming his weapon with the dust cover closed while not wearing his eyepro? :D

It appears the man with the M14 rifle in one screenshot is wearing an ACU (UCP) jacket with Crye Multicam trousers. I guess this means there will be both ACU (UCP) units and Crye Multicam units!
