Was it more out of boredom or is there a reason why now these were made available? Of course you wont likely say why LOL. But hey at least I asked. They probably realized "Hey didn't we also have some old textures lying around for X and Y? Since we now have Eden out and it has this neat combo box for choosing skins, why not make it available?". Seriously, can we get over this already? I am much more concerned with the weapons on all of the MRAPS looking exactly the same than having a NATO skin for the Strider. If you want a question to answer, how about this: "With the MBT-60 Kuma having a distinct HMG mounted as the commander's turret gun, could you consider putting that on the Striders as well to give it a distinct silhouette over the other HMG's?" There's no confusion really, it's rather a completely logical question, that has been logically answered. I can agree with you 10x fold on that HMG related stuff, as well as the turret on the AA tanks with the exact same radar and such, which also needs to be fixed. I agree with this, as a logical decision to add more variety in paints, than why not do the same with the hidden attachments? Would love to see the Flash Hider make it in as a non-Epansion exclusive addition, since it's been around for ever. Think you taking this too literally as we are complaining. I personally speaking for myself do not think they will do something unless there is a reason. Hence why now after EDen? EDen follows onto Apex. They busy. No one who works just randomly decides oh wait let me just do that thing that we haven't touched in 3 years for fun. Are you that bored LOL? Since if it is a small bit of config editing that doesn't take long, this may have been done sooner No? A little weekend coding away from your actual work week to say hey community here is some extra bells and whistles. I merely asked a question because I think this is part of Apex...Somehow! Its their right not to indulge me and tip their hand. But if it is a bit of harmless work I am sure it will be replied to as we just decided why not now. If they do not say anything. Perhaps there is a larger plan to all this...namely Apex. I do know past all the small tweaks to EDen and sound tweaks and the odd AI tweak. The stuff we see daily tweaked or added on the Changelog. The only thing outstanding now is the Visual update slated to come with Apex as another free update. And Apex so we all know they knuckling down to get this puppy out the door. I had asked why before BiS put out a statement. However, I had originally edited and stated I received an answer from someone else, which explains that Eden allows a feature where you can change skins, thus why they added an extra skins. I'm completely fine with that. No complaints. I asked, I got the answer. No confusion.And yes, we appreciate more skins as long as it's not an addition to the copy paste system in which vehicles officially use, (such as the Speedboats, Rubber boats, which I believe they already fixed by adding a wheel to the civilian version to distinguish it from the others.) Variety, is by no means an issue, but duplicates, are, in the context of same vehicle being officially used for two different fections, but under a different skin. This isn't the case which is fine, as my initial suspicions of a NATO strider being used in the official game say, in an Apex Campaign, would add to the issue of already unsolved duplicate vehicles, as has been mentioned heavily in regards to copy and pasted turrets of vehicles and such.
