sigh, what I said is that these days w/o cloud scanning and behavior analysis on the fly the threat from 5 minutes later can beat your just updated antivirus ...

these days, there is no 0 day, it's 0 hour or less ...

I use Kaspersky and Avast and NOD and Dr.web and many others ...

trusting in single product for security is pointless even the AV companies know it and cooperate officially

Lol @ Alwarren

So do you use multiple AVs in one PC? That's the worst possible thing to do, as the AVs fight from the same resources, which makes them effectively neutralize each other and cause false positives.

Am I the only one with disabled anti-virus even though I have it? I just don't browse dangerous website and I've never had a single virus since I bought this PC 2-3 years ago

I don't even have an anti virus program. I clean my HD with CCleaner every once in a while and that kept me safe for the past couple of years.

You two guys, never send me an Email! Never!

The trick with most viruses is that you don´t realize you have one.

Well if I don't realize I have one, that means it doesn't bother me ;)

About the new Steam Server browser:

I think something might be wrong with it.

It is much slower than the gamespy equivalent and it doesn´t seem to list all Servers. Some guys in my community can´t see any of our Arma 3 Servers in the Steam Browser, some see only one (like me). Is this because of some Port settings?

Now this is downright insane.

Yay!

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see the warning post up there.

On most of the cars the light textures (headlight, brake light, reverse light) disappeared with the latest update.

I can never find half the servers with the Steam browser that I can with the Gamespy one. I don't know if it's a port setting or it could be some custom server config causing problems.

Steam server browsing service does not offer a (quality) reverse-NAT as Gamespy did. Therefore you might not see or connect to the servers not using a public IP. Please, check http://dev.arma3.com/sitrep-00050 for more info.

Campaign bug:

Supply network is bugged. The convoy is already in the outpost probably when the mission starts. I don't see the convoy moving on the route at all.

This is because of Steam and you can do nothing about it right?

So I guess that both server and clients must forward ports 27016 and 2303 to make it work properly?

So basically servers behind a NAT won't show up unless they port forward?

Hi im using a secondary computer as my dedicated server, with tophes server tool. Im no computer expert so its fine non complex for me to setup a dedicated server that way, and normaly working without any problems. But since the update i cant get the server to show up on my own or my friends computer, i can see it if click lan in multiplayer, but when i try to connect, it just stands at the loading screen. i have checked that my server and my game computer both are updated to the newest version of arma 3 (1.18). It seems that im not the only one with the server problem, when i read the forums. But i cant find any easy solution for a non computer expert like my self. Are their someone who can help me, cause this totally spoils arma 3 for me, i only play it multiplayer on my server, so any help would be apriciated? sorry my bad english...

Sixt

Got i to work over LAN, but still not working over the internet... but its playable with direct ip adress now

Make sure you've forwarded all the default ports, in particular the steam ones. Look for Terox' Dedicated server guide in the multiplayer server section for a list of them.

We are still looking at augmenting Steam's default handling of NAT (including indicating in the game what your NAT situation is), but it's something Gamespy was simply quite good at punching through.
