Nuclear Weapons

ACE2 supports the following tactical weapons.

* B-61 bomb in the 0.3, 1.5, and 5.0 kiloton configurations. The weapon can be deployed in low-drag ( "B61 LD" ) or lay-down mode using the normal ArmA2 fire mode selection action. Low-drag mode has the same flight profile as a Mk82 bomb. Lay-down mode deploys a drag chute to retard the bomb's forward speed.

* SADM - Special Atomic Demolition Munition. Man-portable, but fairly bulky and very heavy.

Besides blast, additional damage that varies with object type and distance occurs in a wave travelling outward from ground-zero. Later on, a fallout zone will form downwind of ground zero. This zone will deliver damage over time to unprotected personnel.

OMG I can't believe this ? will it really be in ACE2 , 1 kiloton man portable atomic bomb :eek:

i have a question too: has the su-27 flanker a fully 3d cockpit? what armament? pls write back!

Whether it is or not Chernarus is barely big enough to make use of the stealth. At the expected ranges of engagement any remotely modern radar would 'burn through' anyway ^^

Really sorry if i missed this bit, but does this mean that you have to add a gasmask for example from start of the mission, and cant be taken off. Like being able to take off/on during gameplay?

Player Identity

In order to use goggles and masks properly, ACE2 needs to know information about your player profile. Alter the Identity section in the ..\ArmA2\@ACE\userconfig\ace_clientside_config.hpp file to match your player profile.

If you have a gasmask in your inventory (items) you can put it on or off during the mission (via action menu).

You'll find gasmasks or special glasses for example in ammocrates. They are normal items like the map or watch.

In the last "couple of features video", when it shows the backpack system, you can see the soldier carring tactical glasses. Guess its same thing for the masks.

No. We only have our custom sounds for weapons, explosions, sonic cracks etc made by me, Fromz and Sgt.Elias + Robert Hammer's heli soundmod implemented.

Indeed. Dont forget guys, the release might happen on Monday or it might happen on Sunday (13th of Dec).

Either way some peeps will bitch if its not released on Monday. :yay:

You should really consider putting TRSM Tracked vehicels soundmod in ACE, they are the best, most realistic Sounds I ever experienced for Tanks. You can really hear the turbine Engine of the M1A1, the shrieking of the chains on asphalt, and when a Russian Tank drieves by you and you have a good Subwoofer, then the whole House is vibrating

Please test the Mod out and consider taking the Tank Sounds out of it

Yes it has a full 3d Cockpit, animated Instruments and HUD.

Armarment on 10 Hardpoints for the Su27S Flanker B are currently:

4x R73, 6x R27

4x R73, 4x R27, 2x 2xS8T (80Rockets total)

4x R73, 2x R27, 2x 2x,1x S8T (120Rockets total)

Might add a Version with 40 S8T for less ground attack capabilities.
