Ex3B 266 Posted December 14, 2017 Arma 2 had a script to fold the wing/rotors of the MV-22, but it had to be added specifically by mission makers. Will this functionality be present in your MV-22 by default? Any plans for an armed variant? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_Boeing_V-22_Osprey#Armament I guess an armed variant would end up filling a role pretty similar to the Y-32 Xian - but its a role that the armed version of the blackfish definitely doesn't fill. I don't know about you, or anyone else here, but the current sounds (which I believe are from ArmA 2) feel too 'plastic-y' and 'clunky' or low-fi compared to the sounds of other weapons, both Vanilla and JSRS. As much as I love those weapons, and want to use them, the sounds alone turn me away from them. Maybe you could get permission from the ACE or JSRS team to pull their Mark 16/17 sounds from their old ArmA 2 sound packs? I've noticed ever since the launch of the beta that most of the ballistic mandible helmets (called special helmets or something like that in the alpha if i can remember right) are gone. Will they be reintroduced? also, just as a request maybe if its not too much trouble, could you implement a ballistic mandible helmet where the actual helmet is an enhanced combat helmet? by default, the base helmet is just the normal combat helmet with the mandible. if you could either change or add the enhanced combat helmet with ballistic mandibles that would be epic. Here's a small update. :) In the last update to Apex Equipment, Asst. missile specialists were issued new Bergen Backpacks and all Asst. units now wear Tactical Chest Rigs. A few more changes were also made, such as giving the FIA a few Tactical Chest Rigs and giving the medic a new rifle. The M8 5.56 mm is now part of Aegis, with a few changes - a new GL sight and proper animations. Vans for Raven. Light Raven Fatigues New "Panther" livery for the F-38. (I have way too much fun with this thing) You may notice the new canopy animation, this was done to bring it just slightly closer to the real-life X-35B which the F-38 is undeniably based off of. This was part of several changes to the aircraft alongside improvements to PhysX (not in this picture, but dampers have been improved along with some adjustments to the flight model), sounds (canopy open/close and get in/get out sounds), and other small animations (engine nozzle animates in accordance to throttle). I've tweaked a few other things too, like reducing the shotgun's range, giving the EGLM 40 mm reload animations, and sorting out the MGL 40 mm so it actually works properly. New suppressed sounds were added for the M320 LRR .408 and Zafir 7.62 mm; the F-38 can now carry Mk82s while CSAT"s Buzzards can carry R-73 and R-77 missiles. Lastly, "Axiom" related units and equipment, plus the USMC stuff is being removed and instead uploaded separately as "Arma 3 Aegis - Extra Equipment", which will also get new stuff over time. Here's a lovely render of the L85A3 RIS by the amazingly talented VISCOSITY, who - alongside animator AmBanan - has joined the Arma 3 Aegis team! Go check out their stuff! Currently the SA80's new L85A3-esque RIS is being unwrapped and textured, more pics to come soon! A Flaregun is being added, modelled off of the HK P2A1 by @Josh_Yong. Pics soon! New Tripwire Flares! They also have their own unique model found unused in the game's files. CSAT's African forces needed a new, unique rifle. The idea was to give them an iconic Western weapon, albeit modernized. Scimitar Regiment will be armed with the FAL 7.62 mm instead of their current CAR-95s. A new RIS will also be modelled for the FAL. Here's a video of it in action, too! Ex3B 266 Posted January 13, 2018 I'm glad to see NATO getting some bullpup rifles, vanilla Arma 3 seems to treat bullpups as something only CSAT can make for some reason. Tiny tiny suggestion, since this does modify vanilla assets, and since you do seem to care about realism.... there are 2 vanilla weapon names that bug me, maybe they'll bug you too and you can change them: gatling_20mm display name "Minigun 20mm" Gatling_30mm_Plane_CAS_01_F display name "Minigun 30mm" No, just no. These are Gatling cannons, not miniguns. the original "minigun" was a miniaturized version of the M-61 vulcan cannon. It was essentially scaled down to fire the 7.62x51 mm rifle cartridge instead of the 20x102 mm cannon cartridge. So they miniaturaized it, it went from a cannon caliber to a gun/machinegun/rifle caliber. So they called it a minigun... makes sense. The 20mm cannon of the commanche (XM-301) is derived from the M197, which was a 3 barrel version of the M-61. Its the same caliber, its not miniaturized, its a cannon not a gun... its not a minigun. And the GAU-8 (I'm presuming this is what the wipeout uses, as its a clear A-10 derivative), its not miniaturized either, its enlarged... calling this thing a minigun is just... wrong... If you add back in the 6.5mm miniguns (since it seems you changed them all to M134 7.62mm miniguns- but it seems to me that CSAT shouldn't use these, so maybe CSAT helos and Qilins should stick to the 6.5mm fatling guns), keep the name minigun. If you were to add a 12.7mm gatling gun (Like the GAU-19), I wouldn't mind calling that a mini-gun - its not so mini, but its still smaller than the M-61 (which is basically the standard as it was the first modern gatling cannon - the Russian 23mm gatling cannon, the GSh-6-23, entered service 6 years after the M-61) Other suggestion: +350 rounds to the Wipeout, for a total of 1350, like the ol' A-10 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
