'We' are helping the non-Dev branch be more stable by reporting problems, to answer your question there are about the same amount of dev to stable branch servers, im glad some of us are helping here. afp 1 Posted August 9, 2013 Why should a sound for moving your body be useless or break immersion?! It sounds like there is a problem on your end ("I hear a beep")Regarding problems with the movement sounds; the lowered crouch produces a constant slow walking sound, crawling with the binocs produces a walking sound as well, the prone adjustment stances are missing their sound and the sound for switching weapons is doubled. :) Also, switching to the binocs with a pistol produces a overly fast and shaky, misaligned animation. The same applies to switching to the pistol while having the binocs out. The soldier is also still holding the pistol in his hands even though the animation holstered it. Indeed, the new personal gear sounds are some of the best and balanced ever heard in a game, the overall volume too is low for the moment though. I have to turn everything almost to maximum to get the real immersive sound. However, the personal sounds should be the same in 3th person view or the immersion is broken, now it looks like your character is few meters away. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The were reverted because the morning and evening clouds were looking bad, which was a shame, because they were great at other times of the day. I remember a video from BI showing volumetric cloud well before the release of the alpha, but that video just showed the cloud in the distance and nothing more. I found on the tube some videos showing players flying in beautiful volumetric cloud environment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVZPumIsTAk but I never had the chance to fly in clouds like that because every time I tried with a heli to climb toward them, the cloud layer simply start to climb too and it was impossible for me to reach and enter it!!!! So at the end I took a look to the altitude in those video and finally I figured out that to get in those clouds you have to climb to altitude from 2000 up to 5000meters! So I'm wondering: should be possible have a parameter to adjust the height of a cloud in game? And what will be the impact that volumetric clouds have on performance? Because having volumetric cloud in the game as shown in the videos is great but at that altitude I think is useless, unless for air battles, but this is not a flight simulator! According me It's not just a metter of how cloud looks like, I was thinking about the possibility to have clouds close to the ground more than how they look like (read carefully my post) so they can affect helicopter flying at low level and also shooting condition for gunner like it is in real life, because as they are right now they are indeed beautifull to look at but useless... ...and maybe also performance consuming!!! So next time reading through the various posts try to look a little bit further from the tip of your nose before putting down the first comment that pops in your head. Clear headshots should allways kill, no matter from what distance, often they dont. i searched on the tracker but didnt find a ticket for it. im aware that silencers lower the penetration of a round, but headshots, which dont kill?
