nmdanny 22 Posted August 8, 2013 Also the suspense of waiting for those Unmanned vehicles is killing me! Any hints when we might see them? Yea, it's been over a week since the siterep and there are no news about the drone package
barakokula31 10 Posted August 8, 2013 Marid should have standard RCWS reticle The one from the Hunter, Ifrit and Strider?
Tyl3r99 41 Posted August 8, 2013 i think task destination is still bugged... @devs why is this module such a task to use? sync this to this then to this and then sync another thing to that... why not make it more simple??? i.e. place destination.... destination actually shows up.... easy job well done
petek 62 Posted August 8, 2013 (edited) I'm not sure what's going on with the "Better binocular animations" If transition from rifle to binoculars it's rifle on back. If pistol to binoculars the rifle on back magically swings to the front (in the sling position it seems most people prefer - myself included) As for the marid reticle it's different from the one in the panther (which has the same RCWS) - I still don't understand why the gunner sights in the IFV don't have Night vision options? Even the RCWS in the MRAPs do.... Edited August 8, 2013 by petek
Deceiver 10 Posted August 8, 2013 And there is no "to eye" animation anymore? It's still there when you switch from the pistol. I have a false hope that we get respective postures for 'binos in use/not in use.' Better binocular animations Is there anyone who can confirm this? Because I don't see any change other than newly added intermittent animation loop when you switch from your pistol to binoculars.

That for you need to sync the specific task to everything that have to do with it and nothing else. If they would make it simpler, mission maker would be limited in so many ways. Get used to it or learn other methodes of tasks.
comp_uter15776 1 Posted August 8, 2013 I don't find it difficult at all O-o Just place the tasks in a logical order and the rest will follow.

dale0404 5 Posted August 8, 2013 So, 12th September is the release date. When will the game be "locked" for development until after release?
DnA 5143 Posted August 8, 2013 SITREP for this week was replaced by the campaign blog - next week's will have quite some information, including statements on post-release content (e.g. fixed-wing status).

Could you also elaborate on other content as well please, especially the small stuff like immersion objects (camo nets etc), thx.
Tyl3r99 41 Posted August 8, 2013 camo nets have been all arma series I guess they will be in this one too

Kemeros 1 Posted August 8, 2013 The game is fine for release, sandbox wise, bug wise mostly and It's stable enough. But hum... Performance wise? Are you guys sure you want to release while even big rigs still gets poor performance in MP? My 2 cents.
Tyl3r99 41 Posted August 8, 2013 hmm very true I would have thought tents would be here by now :/ They aren't yet and neither is a massive amount of the "little" stuff.
kylania 568 Posted August 8, 2013 There's a whole tent section already.

There is no reason they wouldn't release more over the next 4 weeks.
Sniperwolf572 758 Posted August 8, 2013 Countdown to launch is now displayed on the main menu. :D Currently at D-
petek 62 Posted August 8, 2013 Sadly what Dale said;-( As someone else said it seems Arma 3 will actually be launching with less content than all the previous games. Maybe I've missed it but I'd like to hear from Devs on the most voted for feedback tracker issues too. Most obvious being shooting from vehicles (wasn't there an animation for this from the littlebird originally in the alpha?) and performance... Still trying to keep the faith here... but it's getting difficult;-)
Kemeros 1 Posted August 8, 2013 There have been recent optimizations in the multiplayer part. There is no reason they wouldn't release more over the next 4 weeks. That is true except no one saw any improvements from them(Yet). Maybe it needs other fixes that work together to achieve a real result, i don't know. But in it's current state, i would not be satisfied enough to release the game if i was developing it. It's a personal opinion of course.
Maxzy 12 Posted August 8, 2013 As someone else said it seems Arma 3 will actually be launching with less content than all the previous games. Looking at your join date I assume you just forgot how it was in OFP :).

I can only speak for my own and the people I play with, but we saw a great improvement going from alpha to beta with the animation updates and general multiplayer experience. After final release, the modding community can start doing their part of the optimizations in codes. We already know how great differences the server game modes can have. barakokula31 10 Posted August 8, 2013 As someone else said it seems Arma 3 will actually be launching with less content than all the previous games. Are you saying that jets, tanks, choppers, IFVs, APCs, MRAPs, quadbikes, 4x4s, transport trucks, SDVs and a huge submarine aren't enough for you? It is probably less that in the previous games, but what do you want, quantity or quality? Oh, and, Altis is the biggest map in the Arma 3 series.
zimms 22 Posted August 8, 2013 So, 12th September is the release date. When will the game be "locked" for development until after release? I guess if you stay in the Dev Branch (or whatever it will be called after release) the game won't be locked for you and it will basically stay the same. I feel like the release won't be that big of a deal and won't change much. We will probably still get regular updates and every once in a while content patches - release itself being one. @ADUILO What submarine are you talking about?
