Because there are also switches that need to be animated on a weapon itself since they are there unlike on weapons of "leading technology giant DICE" that can't even program basic AI or ballistics in their cutting edge game for 8 years old hardware. I'm not against it, but if BIS won't do anything about switches it will still look like it is now - you select automatic fire but switch still points at semi. Haha, if they need to animate the fire-selector, maybe they should animate the moving parts of an LMG first. That isn't happening, so why do you think the fire-selector should be animated either? In air without parachute in alpha, there is actually many clipping with the border of the sea in 3rd view. And in night, if you are in altitude, the lighting were very bad. Not really a guide as all the slides and adjustments he make he actually says he doesn't know how or what effect it has on the performance lol. TSAndrey 1 Posted June 4, 2013 -standing near wrecks kills you for no reason -vehicles(especially the ATV) get broken just by touching a rock or an object (I actually got killed by food basket) -you sometimes can't take stuff from crates, instead you need to put items on the ground and then get the items -AI is insane!!!! Sometimes items just vanish, can't pick up backpacks and so on. 4-It got better but isn't great yet. Set precision to a lower (.4, .3) value at configs. (#3480) Exactly, thanks for the links. Did I also forget that the reloading sounds are too loud (or atleast have a bad distance sound falloff). Yeah which is a shame. BI has such a high quality game here, but little things like this selector mode and feedback (both visual and audio) from changing fire modes, really it's that small details that make the whole package look that much better. I know this is just an Alpha and it's purpose is to get major bugs and issues fixed, but to me there's no reason we shouldn't ask them to work on this little issue. You can't deny that the way the game currently toggles fire states is extremely bland. It's lifeless, there's no connection to the gun at all. It's just an indicator changing on your HUD, that's it. That's what bothers me the most, followed by the lack of change in the fire selector when you look down at the gun. Ah maybe in Beta or something we can be a bit more demanding on this one. Get back and am geniunley blown away by how good it looks and runs. great job bis. and the sniper rifles with that bolt action reload just friggin rock. keep at it, defintely feels like its going in the right direction. fatigue blur was surprising to see as being more pronounced but easy to get used to.
