  2. Nogovan Armed Forces - NAF: This is my first addon release for Arma3, this addon is based around re-textured AAF units. As much as i would like to have custom infantry models, that is not my strength, config and scripting is my main area of expertise. These units are a continuation of my addon releases on the Nogovan theme which started with OFP/Arma/Arma2. Any feedback would be appreciated. BACKGROUND: Following the wars that ravaged the islands in the 1980’s, it was decided that the old militia system of weekend warriors with a minimum of training was insufficient to ensure the defence of the Nogovan Republic. Permanent armed forces based on universal conscription were therefore established, built around a core of former FIA guerilla’s and returned expatriate officers. The modest resources of the islands of Nogova, Everon and Malden preclude massive investment into modern armaments, leading to an emphasis on acquiring smart soldiers rather than smart weaponry. Rigorous and extensive training programs have been developed to ensure that raw recruits are brought to a high professional standard with a variety of military skills. In joint exercises with Western militariesNogovan draftees have outperformed the foreign regular counterparts on multiple occasions. All soldiers must pass an extended basic training for a period of six months before entering advanced military training. Part of the soldiers are then enrolled in the combat arms, part in the supporting services. Due to the relatively long ininital training all forces have a firm background in basic infantry skills regardless of their subsequent specialisation. The main part of recruits enter the light infantry which provides soldiers with training for operations in both alpine and desert conditions. Nogovan light infantry doctrine places a high value on dispersed and independent operations by platoon sized units against numerically superior or more heavily armed forces, mimicking the resistance tactics developed in the wars against the Soviets. Part of the troops are assigned to the armoured corps, which specialises in combined operations with tanks and armoured personnel carriers. The Nogovan Light Horse endorses fast aggressive tactics to quickly disrupt airborne or amphibuous invasions before initial assault forces are able to establish a firm bridgehead. Its reliance on brute force contrasts with the more fluid tactics of the rest of the army. After basic military training and the light infantry course the best and brightest of the recruits can volunteer for service with the airborne company, undergoing extensive advanced training imparting airborne and amphibuous infiltration techniques, demolitions skills and use of foreign weaponry and equipment. Endurance and initiative are highly stimulated in airborne candidates, a high number of which eventually enter non commissioned and subaltern officer training courses at the ViktorTroska Military Institute.   3. Welcome to the 22nd JSOC "Ironhorse" - a fresh, Arma 3 milsim community, now open for recruitment. The 22nd JSOC Realism Unit was founded in January of 2018 by a group of veteran ArmA Realism members who felt like they could create an environment that was reliable, trustworthy, and friendly. The primary focus of the 22nd is on utilizing real to life tactics, techniques, protocol, and communication, while keeping it fun and friendly at the same time. We have Detachments anywhere from Infantry, Rotary, Fixed-Wing, PJ's, CIA, Armoured, and more! At its core, a realism unit is a role-playing unit. We strive to promote an immersive and professional environment for members to role-play in by providing a unique and structured military experience. When in-game, members are expected to act as if they are on a foreign battlefield or in a domestic training environment. For these reasons, the minimum age to join the 22nd is 17 years old, with a probationary period for those younger. The goal of the unit is to always balance the realism with fun. If members are not enjoying the experience, then there is no point in the unit existing. When there comes a point at which a decision between the two has to be made, we always have to remember that this is a game and we are here for entertainment, and we may from time to time err on the side of fun. ZEUS: We have active storytellers and mission planners to put together full missions from scratch. Alive Module: This mod has been carefully edited and tweaked to ensure an immersive experience in the world. Now, towns have AI civilians and OPFOR that will spawn and generate opinions of our unit while deployed in that area. Civilian casualties will only hurt public relations, and may even force more locals to join the enemy side and ambush us during patrols!   4. "PSZ: POLISH ARMED FORCES" SITREP PSZ: Polish Armed Forces is a mod project focusing on adding a high quality, realistic modern Polish Army faction. This means we plan to recreate in-game most of the currently used Polish Army equipment, including of course most of the signature weapons, vehicles and units, like Beryl, MSBS and Tor rifles, Rosomak APCs, Leopard and Twardy tanks, Sokol helicopters, etc. The SECOND version just got released, so why won't you give it a try? THE FUTURE The general idea is to release the mod as soon as the base is ready, then build upon it, until we have everything one could ask for in terms of realistic Polish Armed Forces faction(s). Initial plan includes PKW 2010 faction with weapons, infantry and some vehicles, which then should be supported by following Special Forces, PKW "Motorpool" and also the 2020-ish PKW faction updates. 2020(-ish) faction will be there to include the newest weaponry polish military industry is trying to incorporate, like MSBS Radon assault rifle, Negev LMG and possibly more, like ATGM Rosomak APC variant. Mod requires CBA (for ASDG Joint Rails, for example) and at this moment we are thinking about incorporating MRT Accessory Functions and Weapon EventHandler Framework for greatest possible immersion and level of realism. Also because we want everything to depict real-life counterparts and their behaviour as much as possible, while keeping the best possible visual and technical quality. A3 Bundeswehr Vehicle Retexture Pack for Arma III Introduction This mod is meant to bridge the gap of missing logistical vehicles for communities and groups using the BWMod by retexturing Arma III vanilla vehicles to Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) standards. Features Flecktarn (German Woodland) camo for all vehicles. (Tropentarn (German Desert) camo is planned for a separate future release) Custom textures for each vehicle. Custom dirt maps for each vehicle to make it feel more realistic. Accurate tactical signs. Individual license plates for each vehicle.   6. So im looking for someone that would be able to texture my Aligator vehicle from my Slovak Armed Forces mod that i have been working for some time now. Im still noob and learning all the stuff around and figuring them out slowly and texturing and rvmats are whole new segment of the modding for me. Ive already have some textures for this vehicle from Yano ´s older aligator project that he gave me to use. They are still usable i think. So if theres someone who would be able to help and completely finnish the textures please contact me. I would be really glad :) PS: Dont mind the glass texture on some places where it shouldnt be. WIP :P
  7. This mod adds new faction (Lithuanian Armed Forces) to ARMA 3. Faction currently consists of Lithuanian Land Force, Lithuanian Air Force and LITHSOF units and vehicles. Mod mainly does retexturing of various vanilla ARMA 3 textures and most popular ARMA 3 mods (CUP and RHS)textures. Having in mind that Lithuanian ARMA 3 community is relatively small, mod gives great attention to LITHSOF, because special operations are usually conducted by small teams. MOD FEATURES: - Entirely new, playable faction; - Various uniforms, helmets, vests, caps and balaclavas retextures, adding Lithuanian camouflage patterns or colors (woodland, desert and new camouflage design used by LITHSOF). Also uniform retexture with solid colors (used by LITHSOF only), ghilie suit retexture (to match more forested environment, like Lithuania) and pilot uniform retextures. - LAF insignias (mainly LITHSOF); - Mi8 and vanilla light helicopter (which is very similar to lithuanian used Eurocopters) retextures; - Land rover (used by LITHSOF) retexture; - Lithuanian names and surnames (only for land and air force soldiers). Also LITHSOF soldiers pseudonyms (for immersion, almost all pseudonyms are real Lithuanian partisans pseudonyms). Download here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=684872545 DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN MOD AND REALITY: - Lithuanian flag on both soldier shoulders (I can't change this, because of ARMA 3 vanilla uniform texture UV map, which mirrors uniform sides); - Insignia shapes. LAF currently unifies insignias to have same shape. Because they are new, it makes difficult or impossible to find a correct one. - Weapons. Not all weapons, which are being used in my mod, are currently used (or widely used) by real LAF. To avoid a lot of dependencies to be able to use my mod, I currently added only weapons from popular mods. Some weapons used by real LAF are quite specific, for example, SCAR or various sniper rifles. - Camouflage patterns. Shapes and sizes of patterns are not 100% accurate. - Uniform meshes. Uniform models used in mod are far from reality. I don't have much knowledge about moddeling, so I can't model it myself. There isn't a lot of new uniform meshes created, most mods, which you can download, are just vanilla retextures; and new meshes usually have their own issues. So after trying various different meshes, I decided to stick with vanilla. I may change Lithuanian Land Force uniform later. - Fixed-wing and helicopter pilot uniforms have same "Albatros" insignia on front. Currently this mod contains two different versions of pilot uniforms, but game loads only the one with Albatros insignia (I will try to fix this in the feature). In reality Lithuanian Air Force haven't got unified insignias and different pilots used various different insignias. - Colors of various items or their parts are not 100% accurate. I found it that it is quite hard to find the correct color, because it looks that colors appears in game a little bit different than it appears in GIMP. Also some textures there done before ARMA 3 graphics update, so some textures might look not accurate. - LITHSOF overall equipment, weapons, helmets, etc. In practice LITHSOF soldiers are quite independent on what they use, so it is impossible to have all possible variations in the mod. I tried to achieve as much diversity as possible. NOTES: - I'm only one modder working on this modification and before this mod I had zero modding experience (I have never scripted before, etc.), so don't expect mod to be perfect. I sunk many hours into this mod, trying my best to make mod as close to reality as possible, so I hope you will appreciate that. - If you open virtual arsenal, you can find items which are not being used by actual soldiers. This is because some of them are older and I have replaced them with other meshes/textures, but didn't remove them from mod. KNOWN ISSUES: - Informational error while game initializes addons: "X requires addon Y". It has something to do with addon load order, I will try to fix it in the future. Just press OK and game/mod should run just fine. - Placing vehicles in editor may give informational errors. - Placing woodland HMMWV in EDEN editor places desert HMMWV. I'm not sure, but this may be eden editor problem, because in 2D editor it placed it correctly and same happens with RHS HMMWs. Solution: place empty woodland RHS HMMWV and add units to it individually. HOW TO TRY THIS MOD? - Currently I have created only one co-op mission which includes this mod.
