We also aim for an immersive and realistic environment in our mission contents by providing a realistic Warning Order and on-going narrative with ISR updates to our deployments based on progress made/lost throughout the week. -- WHO WE ARE -- Discord: https://discord.gg/X58DwGZz Operations: Saturdays at 7pm EST (Fun ops: TBA) Upcoming Campaign: Battle for Earth We are R.A.V.E.N, a primarily North American Halo-Sim / Optre unit. We work with a heavy focus on recon and info gathering; While trying to keep a light-hearted, yet mature environment. There is no “yes sir, no sir” atmosphere and we don’t have ranks, just command roles. When in-game, members will be required to wear their proper tags, follow the orders given to them, use proper radio communication, and operate as their assigned role. When out of game, members are encouraged to relax and enjoy themselves while participating in community events. -- OUR OPERATIONS -- Every operation hosted by our unit will be run by one of our “illustrious” Zeuses featuring multiple factions and individuals. Each mission is interactive and story-driven. Seemingly simple choices that are made early on in a campaign can have lasting effects that directly alter the events that follow. We require that all members attend a minimum of 2 operations each month to maintain active status. If you are unable to attend ops for a stretch of time you will be put in reserves and can rejoin to active status at any time. Our unit acts as a private military company (PMC) employed by the UNSC and other parties. We play missions set in various parts of the HALO timeline from the main games, to the background lore, and to parts of our own unit-specific storyline! -- WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT -- We are a PMC group set inside the Halo Universe so we have the freedom to explore not only missions in the various games, but we can also carve our own path and story. Unlike other Halo-Sim units we don’t have a set side and so frequently find ourselves fighting UNSC, Innies, Covenant, and many other groups. Our style of Halo-Sim means we don't have to worry about all the semantics or rigid military structure that other groups focus heavily on such as: requiring prowords, grid references, land navigation, multiple squad formations, saluting, etc. Just stick with your squad, do what you are told, and shoot the bad guys. Our operations offer a wide range of settings in various environments. We tend to have a heavy focus on reconnaissance, but break up the pace every few ops to help keep things new and exciting. In other units, you become just a number and you make little to no impact overall as you throw your body to the wall. Here, we know everyone's name, listen to all ideas, and work as a team to carve our path throughout every operation. Currently we have two separate formations; Kestrel and Thunder. Kestrel fills out our infantry squads and is the core of the unit, providing individuals many diverse options for equipment and specialist roles. Thunder is our (primarily) aviation wing and they provide logistical and combat assistance to our main ground forces. We have several different trainings that will be available such as the basic combat training (BCT) required to be taken by all who join the unit, short training to get certified for a new specialist role, and much longer trainings and qualifications for applicants for our more advanced specializations such as Shooter (reconnaissance/sniper) and Thunder. Members are not stuck in their specific role, we allow our members to change their role at any time if they are no longer enjoying it. . We do not micromanage your gear. While there are basic kit requirements for whatever role you have there is an incredible amount of flexibility to what you can carry. Players can make their character truly unique and take the gear that THEY want to use. -- HOW TO JOIN -- Our basic requirements: Be Mature (no age requirements here). Must speak English. Microphone Preferred but not required. Have a valid copy of Arma 3 If any of this sounds interesting to you, feel free to hop in our Discord and talk to us there. There is more specific information posted there and we would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have for us.

We are a realism-based, mature team that functions primarily as US Army Special Forces ODAs. We are a community of people who enjoy working together and recreating the intensity of combat without the onus of having to role-play military rank and courtesies in and out of the game (commonly called mil-sim). The 5th SFG operates its training and missions on Eastern Time (North America) GMT -5, Fridays at 2000 EST (training and live fire), and Saturdays at 2000 EST (campaign missions). We may have other missions and training sessions during the week, but most members get together at our set times. Our tactics are based on real-world training documents and videos as well as our own experience in the virtual battlefield. We train, not like some units do where they want you to memorize Army ranks and such, but how you can become a vital part of your ODA and perhaps even lead an A-team yourself someday. NOTE: You must be 18 years of age to join, speak English, have a working copy of ARMA 3, a working microphone, a decent internet connection, and be willing to download and install mods (we offer technical support). You must be willing to work with others and communicate, get shot at, have things explode nearby, jump into and out of helicopters and airplanes, operate in foul weather and darkness and generally stay with your battle buddies. https://discord.gg/BbawGRaCCj Drop by our discord and ask any questions you might have, get support in installing our mods, setting up Teamspeak, and becoming a member of a Special Forces Group (Virtual).

We are USAF special operations unit "Cassowary Composite Squadron", and we're looking for both experienced and/or inexperienced players. ALSO LOOKING FOR HELO PILOTS and/or logistical support airmen.. Our play style is very laid back, however our forms of organization like ranks and structure are close to realistic. We have a very minimal mods list, so you won't be installing addons for hours. Be advised our group consists of younger ages including myself and our preferred age range is 14-18. Our group size is currently 10 people and we are a relatively new unit. A couple final notes, we do not address each other by rank because it's stupid for a game, and we honestly are just a group of friends looking to have some fun. For more details, comment or contact me at: a3cassowary@gmail.com or join our discord! -We have a dedicated server -North America (Central Daylight Time) -USAF structure -Relaxed -Minimal mods -Preferred ages 14-18

Hey there, Der Server a small community of friends are looking to expand our current roster of eight. We come from around the globe EU, US, and CN. With this being said our missions run around a time to suit a majority. We are a mature group but also all get along really well and can have some good banter. The community plays with an relaxed approach towards playing “realism missions” and being part of the “realism community”. We don’t expect you to call higher ranking members sir, ma’am, do rigorous training courses, or know everything out of a tactical handbook. Instead we use the available mods to develop missions which would be played in a fun manner whilst also trying to tactically play out the mission. Each week the mission changes unless it’s a campaign so there’s never any set faction or playstyle we would be playing for weeks on end it helps to keep things fresh! TL:DR: if you like to play realism missions but don’t want to have to go through the hassle of training etc with a community then this is the place for you! There are some slight rules that what we adhere to and would like future members to adhere to:- -Speak fluent English with a working microphone and headset -17 years + -Ability to follow orders from others (in-game command structure system) -Be respectful and mindful of others We have recently made a switch to discord to arrange missions and will be used as a hub for the community ongoing however we still use teamspeak for voice comms. If you are interested join and drop me a message I’m usually always available! Thanks and I hope to see you around!

Who Are We? The British Foreign Legion (BFL) is a group of semi-casual Arma 3 milsim players hailing from North America and Europe. The existing community has been around for five years and gone through many facelifts, during which time we've learned what works and what doesn't. We are now seeking to expand our ranks in order to field a much larger unit during operations. For more info, check out our Steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/BritishForeignLegion Training Training sessions are held at the discretion of the CO. An announcement will be posted at least one day in advance, and more often than not two days. If you can't make it, that's fine, but remember that you must attend training to advance in the unit. Operations Operations are generally made in-game with Zeus, however editor-made missions are used semi-frequently as well. Operation types include COIN, urban assault, parachute ops, recon, and HVT/hostage extraction. No operation is completely mandatory, as we realize that people have lives outside of video games. Mods The unit has a modpack, which is a compilation of mods that we deem excellent and beneficial to our gameplay. Age/Required Items You must be 15+ to apply to the BFL, own Arma 3 and Arma 3 Apex, and must have a microphone. Failing to meet these requirements will result in your application being dismissed out of hand. If you are interested in applying, please contact us at britishforeignlegiona3@gmail.com. Regards, Lt. Ryan, BFL Acting CO
