Texture fails to Apply to custom model - Need help.

Greetings everyone! As you read in the title, the issue I'm having is that my texture doesn't get applied to the custom model that I made unless I force my newly made character to have a specific texture. This is a problem as the model needs to be capable of having multiple textures and I think it's kind of silly to make a new character for every texture. Hi guys, I have searched the internet for a couple hours and i cant find any up-to-date documentation on creating a 3D model for ArmA 3 to use in-game. Does anyone have a link to some up-to-date documentation and/or can write some basics himself? For 3D models i use 3D Studio Max. Thanks in advance! ~ JohnDoe -
Last version (1.56) we have detected next bug (steps to reproduce): 0. Get primary weapon to your hands 1. toggle combat-walk 2. lower your weapon 3. you will be move silent without sound (your soldier is playing animation - moving and carry weapon with one hand) Bugs: 1) silent moving 2) where you push SPRINT key from these state - you will be play healing soldier animation and slow down the speed. === In version 1.58 we have detected new bug (steps to reproduce): 0. Get the primary weapon in your hands 1. Sit down with X key 2. Use CTRL+S to get down your stand (down-sit) or CTRL+W to get your stand up (up-sit) 3. Use B key to get binoculars From 3rd person you will take binoculars, that will be removed from your hands - you will be see through empty hands. From first person your soldier will play animation "seriosly wounded carrying" i think or something - they wont get the binoculars and trying to brake-dancing. Where you try to get binoculars in down-stand/up-stand OR down-prone/up-prone - all will be ok, the soldier first make his stand normal, after that get binoculars. === Need to fix these 2 bugs.

I'm stuck on this problem, my model keeps sinking into the ground, it's something on the Geometry LOD. The LOD is defiantly meets the requirements (Closed, convex hull, and has mass), but for some reason it keeps clipping into the ground. Here's a screenshot. Thanks.

3DEN show model inverted after toggling check case

Hi, I remark that the result is inverted for 3DEN attribute "show model". By default, this option is checked and object/unit is visible. Uncheck the "show model" in 3DEN for whatever unit/object. Run preview (SP). The model is still visible. Check "show model": the model becomes invisible, uncheck again: the model is back, check.... now you have an inverted toggle. Other attributes (special states) seem to work normally, so far. -
Hello. I've been getting these odd shadows on my models recently, any reason why? The shemagh uses vanilla textures, "armor1_co.paa" and "armor1.rvmat". http://i.imgur.com/hVuDs8k.jpg Thanks, Night515

Looking for polycounts of weapons form arma 3

Hey There, I've just started making my first weapon mod for arma 3 and while I feel I've got most of it figured out, I'm nearing the completion of the high poly model and I just wanted to know what are the polycounts for vanilla arma 3 weapon LODs just to make sure my stuff runs smoothly. I tried to find some examples, but all I dug up was arma 2 stuff, and I'm not interested in those. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers -
Take On Mars - Update 4.1 (FBX to TXO model convertor) released!

Hello everyone, we just released update 4.1, this simply adds a tool for converting models from the FBX format (supported by most modeling programs) to Take On Mars' internal format, TXO. This should allow everyone to import their own models into the game. Documentation and examples to come soon! The convertor can be launched directly from the game's Steam menu.
