  2. It seems I am getting static_weapons.sqf error or so. And AIs seem to love to get off of their static emplacement rather than enjoying their superior firepower. AIs love to get off of static emplacement to shoot people with their smaller caliber rifles.
  3. One can only hope that it is on the dev's wishlist or plan currently.
  4. So, how does the weight system work? Why were some same caliber weapons assigned heavier mass? Like Rahim DMR uses same caliber but it is lighter than AK-12 while AK-12 weighs as much as Mk-14 with other DMRs weighing so much? I feel like knowing that will help.
  5. It seems like I have noticed a problem with some of the assets... I believe AK-12 (Despite it being AK-15 in reality), is about 2 times heavier than real life for example.I think other ones are Minimi based machineguns, they also weigh more than in real life while other rifles/machineguns seem to generally weigh around real life weights.I believe some APEX weapons and variants of those Contact/APEX weapons are also quite a bit heavier than real life base they used. AK-15 in real life weighs 4.16kg in combat weight and weighs about 3.33kg non-combat weight with RPK at 6kg combat weight. In-game AK-12 weighs almost twice as real life one at 6.7kg or so. I do hope that devs will go over the weights of weapons once again. It's sort of weird to see the inconsistency in weights which affects stamina stat heavily even before gearing out for combat.
  6. Ah yes. Zeus AI indeed. And I tried that method, works well for armed AIs but seems like unarmed AIs love to run around, making HVT missions a bit of pain. What can I do for that?
  7. I think it happens on castle towers and just in general on the walls. AIs would try to ungarrison themselves at the moment they are called. Only for them to fall to their death. Also, any way in particular to hopefully make it not override garrison feature from Achilles? I'd love to know. Other than those, AIs are great!
  8. Hello, it's been a good change of pace with AI using this mod. Thanks for that. Though, I do have a question... how can you make AIs stay in the garrisoned building so that they stop falling off the tower or so. I have noticed that if there's a tower like structure, they tend to try to walk over the wall to fall to their death. I would love to prevent them from falling to their death.
  9. Good things always leave players craving for more. At least, that is the case for me. Hence that quoted statement, heh. I do hope that you guys will have a chance to go through your wishlist post-release, because more goodies are always welcome! 😛
  10. Yeah, disappointing. It feels like they stopped half way even though they probably didn't. Still a good base to expand with mods where we get properly camo'd stuffs I suppose. Maybe Spets armor will be made too lol.
  11. Yeah, the oversized building is the reason why I cannot build a mission template on it. A bit immersion breaking. I am not really sure if they will actually do the resizing or not.
  12. I am not sure if it is allowed to ask but any ETA on Livonian buildings made alien proof by downsizing so the 'car-sized entities' won't enter and murder you while you sleep? Those big windows and doors are... quite unsettling...

    I am not quite sure that I understood you on 'tier 14000' thing. And yes, I know how to make mission only thing and I've been doing so. But still doesn't change the fact that there are no real Spetsnaz/CTRG specific (other than what Miller's Group 15 wears which doesn't fit in other terrains) armors. I can rely on mods yes, but it means if mod updates and happens to change the cfg or whatever, then that loadout becomes unusable. Hence, I would love vanilla asset.

    Since I don't know which thread suggestions can go, I will make a post here. Please reconsider Spetsnaz (and any other spec ops forces in the base game currently) being virtually armorless. They die way too easy. Recombination of existing assets would provide new assets without having to dedicate too much time for professionals like you guys at BI. Kipchak vest with plate template for AAF or new modular armor can provide decent looking armor that is unique for example.
  15. Yes, so much yes. Tbh, the promo image led me to believe that there would be some Spetsnaz with armor but I realized how wrong I was in the preview section when they released additional asset details. I second this. Oops. Saw the mod post a little too late... 😞
  16. Well, I guess that is true. But it would be cool to have the vanilla functionality to them so we can bring some alien scenarios to other maps without having to wait for or bother the said semi-skilled scripter to implement alien features in small missions for myself and friends.
  17. I am hoping for the implemented functionality to CBRN and APR really as well. But why do I get the feeling it won't be the case lol.

    Perhaps he forgot that all those games he mentioned were built for console first then ported to PC. Which means, there are no 'missing features' on those games to begin with where as ArmA would lose a lot of features that make it unique.

  20. Well, yeah... recon troops though, I always felt that they were weaker than the regulars as AI opponent. And yes, I think you and I are suggesting more or less the same. I think body armor part can be solved with generic plate template on front and back and don the current chest rig on top which I am sure they can resize the plate model as they see fit. Btw, no qualms with 'gorkas' because military sometimes choose to go back and improve their older models. And this is one of those improved with armor underneath the uniform.

    DayZ is basically a lot simpler version of ArmA with zombies and it is nowhere near as complex as ArmA. ArmA console would be really bare stripped version of the game where people will wonder why they are playing ArmA when they can have their fast paced/streamlined control games such as CoD, BF series as ArmA is neither fast, streamlined, and it is not even DayZ. Console gamers usually seek different experiences compared to ArmA playerbase. Console games are almost all fast paced. If ArmA was to come to console, it'd have to be a very much a different game than what it is. And most of user made contents require heavy scripting unless you are Zeusing and I don't think Zeus will be intuitive on console controls. And these are all additional development cost.
  22. Keep in mind though, some of the CSAT soldiers wear tactical vests. It would've been ideal to have Spetsnaz to have some sort of armor options other than relying on just the uniform armor underneath. Personally, I'd just settle for the plate carrier (retextured for taiga and other colors) underneath the current chest rig as an armor option. That way, BI won't have to make new model from the scratch while keeping the new chest rig and offer armored version of it

    "Recent reports also mention sightings of highly advanced car-sized alien entities surveying the UFO’s nearby environment." I don't know. This part of description could be bogus after all. This section is the reason why I think there's a fair amount of chance that we will see moving/AI/playable alien. But BI insist on keeping aliens secret. 😢

    I hope their 'car-sized aliens' description they have on the page still hold. Because that description seem to indicate there will be alien entities controlled by AI or playable. Just hoping.
