    Best Arma3 DLC yet

    I'm inclined to exclude APEX since its more of an expansion, as fn_Quiksilver said. I also mean to exclude concurrent platform upgrades as I wouldn't consider those as DLC content but rather content released at the same time as DLC. That said, I'd have to say my favorite paid DLC was Laws of War. Since I don't bother too much with vanilla content, the other DLCs don't do a lot for me. And with Laws of War, I found the story to be very compelling, informative, and very very well executed. It did what they said it did and provided a little bit of everything. I'm not used to Arma providing such a genuine look at war beyond the firefights, and needless to say I enjoyed it. I got the most enjoyment out of it compared to the others, even possibly APEX although I don't want to include it here. As far as free DLC goes, obviously Malden. Beautiful and very useful map, plus nostalgia points and all that.

  7. Thats looking great. Can't wait. Could probably benefit from some more scratches and wear on some areas but its all still quite good.
  8. Very cool idea. Love the idea of expanding and keeping it very utilitarian. Unfortunately I can't try it but I'll be playing around with it as soon as possible. It's non-specific but are there certain kind of regions loosely represented? Like sort of balkan areas, sort of alpen areas, sort of scandinavian areas? Seriously dig the idea of covering a variety of european geotypes in one terrain. I mean there's pantera and sahrani and stuff, but they're sort of dated and the contrasts are.. stark.

    Of course got to consider real life circumstances like work or school and all the other little things. Sometimes there are more appealing ways to spend that freetime you manage. Modding also takes time, and a damn lot of it too. Suppose the author is working on a new firearm right now, he might have already fixed and updated everything on his computer but plans to release when hes done with the new content in one big update.
  10. gaf is german stuff, kind of a long story on why thats separate. customs is just some shitty custom camos I made, its been sort of abandoned. Gorka is just a little bit random russian stuff. and then theres the main file with all the main stuff likethe g3, bdu, pasgt, fast, etc. you could put all the pbos in one addon folder if you wanted. the file on the steam workshop is merged like that for ease and such since I didn't want 4 workshop pages. so you could just subscribe there.

  12. They're very good. It's got right balance of punch and tinniness. Should be really satisfying to shoot. Can't wait to see whats in store for the other rifles.

  14. I've fixed the heap of bugs with the icons and cleaned up a lot of the coding. I renamed all M93s to BDUs. I revisited the FROG uniform project and came to results I was satisfied with. So they will be in the next update. I only made Multicam, M81, and MTP FROGs. Also, a heads up, I replaced the MTP G3 with the FROG; the classes are the same, so as to not break anything, but its been renamed and replaced to sort of emulate the UBACS uniform. I went through and did some requests where I saw fit, unfortunately some did not pan out for a variety of reasons such as lacking references, swatches, etc. That said, I've made a KSOR camo gorka, a Canadian flag on CADPAT uniforms, an AAF uniform set in a recolor of their digicam using Greek colors, and I made Greek digital and Greek desert uniforms. In addition I remade the normal Greek uniform for about the hundredth time, and also threw in some black OpsCore helmets with ATACS covers, inspired by Russian SSO forces as seen in Syria. I've got plans to redo US M81 BDUs and perhaps a couple other things, fill out any last minute requests, and then the update should be ready to go out. Considering doing AOR patterns on the FROG and maybe some Iranian MARPAT clone BDUs, if you're intrested in this let me know and it'll happen. If you've got any requests for FROGs or otherwise, let me know and I'll be sure to give them thought. Oh, the "@WS Customs" file has been unsupported for a very long time, I have not and will not be fixing any issues with that, you are free to use/continue using at your own risk.
  15. Finally in the process of catching up on everything I needed to do. Attempting to correct the many small bugs and mess-ups I've made, adding a few new things here, updating old textures. Thinking of changing the names of the uniforms to something more generic. Like BDU instead of M93. M93 is a serbian designation after all. Not sure what to call the G3, just Cryes or something? Tell me what you guys think.
  16. Yeah! It's really exciting. a Once it reaches completion will you be releasing them as a resource pack with editor objects as well ala JBAD or will ut onlu be shipped with your terrain? Because I've begun thinking of all the cool stuff I could do with these builing in editor, all the possible screenshots and scenarios.

    I've tried FHQ, I think it has a TA01 I think, but thats about all that would be any help. It also has an ITL Mars sight which was used by the US in early OEF/OIF, but I'm pretty sure it was uncommon. And its about as out of date as RHAcc. I don't think it'll make a good supplement, and I don't think theres anything else really. The TA31, as in RHS, has been around since like 2005 so its not wrong to use it I guess, and the M552 was around but I don't think it was very common, more of a SOF thing.

    Your comment on suspending the CUP version reminds me, Robert Hammer accessory pack has all the old school attachments like the Comp M2, TA01, and PEQ2. I always used it in conjunction with RHS weapons when kitting up my own old classes. Though making the addon depend on it might not be a great call. You're doing some great stuff with this addon. Thanks man.

    Would it be possible for mission makers to add classes directly to equipment lists through the equipment module? Into like apparel and weapons/ammo categories subdivided in to military and civilian grade lists? Being able to like determine how common or how rare something is on a 1-10 or like 1-100 scale would be nice too. Not sure how your system works or how well any of it would mesh though. Would be real nice for opening up compatibility and allowing greater user control and all that.
