That might be, but the same did the FDF mod team in OFP. Just work on the mod and release it when it's done. Obviously that worked well wink_o.gif

Sure it might be disappointing when there's absolutely no information about the status etc. but for the mod team it's better as they can work on it without being bothered in the forums with complaints (and there's always someone complaining when screenshots are released) or with a flood of suggestions and questions that needs to be answered.

Patience... you won't be disappointed smile_o.gif

sweet! damn i remember that place from old ofp, but i forgot the name already of the town tounge2.gif but looks wonderful, only a few more trees in the background missing i think. thumbs-up.gif

I don't know whether to be stunned at the difference in quality or stunned at the similarity to the original!

Looking good, nice to see the team is being utterly true to the original (even down to the placement of the trees!wink_o.gif.

Man... Malden really was a miserable looking place wasn't it? Excellent job on the remake, guys. You've certainly captured the essence of the island! I'm very interested to see what you've done with the verdant Everon, my favourite island.

All of this is good ! September will bring some new life to ArmA : QG and CWR...

ArmA sure needs some new stuff to stay alive, right now. I'm really looking forward to this stuff. Good job on Malden inport wink_o.gif

I agree regarding the ground textures, but the terrain features are great.

For me Malden was the best of all OFP islands (including Nogova). Loved the terrain and vegetation.

Then I think you will love CWR when it comes out. Playing old missions on the new Malden with new units is quite enjoyable smile_o.gif

I'd like it if CWR installed like a mod with gameplay tweaks that would make it play more like OPF.

Like:

- No zoom on sights.

- Toned down a.i. (long range acuracy and pinpoint "radar").

- Concealment in the bushes.

Because with all honesty Arma's SP/coop is not as playable as OPF was..

Will you be using grass in the CWR islands?

You can only turn grass off by having terrain detail very low, i like smooth terrain confused_o.gif .

I would rather keep the grass. It doesn't make sense to release a mod for a game with reduced graphics. Stock ArmA has grass, so addons should have it too.

Now I wonder how much progress CWR has made with the units smile_o.gif
