Me it's random, sometimes 504, sometimes 502, sometimes it works after 5 min of waiting, sometimes works perfectly during 30sec.

@froggyluv you found the page... i would have looked for it but i had a 504 error :D

 

@Jervant the 504 and 502 gateway errors are still happening... I couldn't get on the forum for 12 hours last night and has been a frequent problem for at least a month.

 

edit... as a sidenote... when it happens it happens across both my laptop, the gaming pc, and my android phone. So it isnt a cache issue that i can see or something that might be specific to one type of device or setup. One thing I havent tried is using Int Explorer instead of chrome to see what it does but I use chrome on PC and samsung internet on the phone.

After the recent forum update I can't change my signature's picture. It always hungs for 3-5 minutes and then says: "Unable to retrieve signature image dimensions for [link to the pic], please try another image. It happens even if I try to resave that same image which is already in my sig. I've tried several image hostings (imgur.com, radikal.ru and my own website) and different formats (jpg and png). Someone says it's a forum's software bug connected to the image size restriction and can be bypassed by disabling the restriction.

I noticed that formatted text, either with color, size, bold, or underlined wont save if you copy something from another page or post to an existing post within the same thread,

haven't tried outside of a thread, but i do know text does save if you typed something up, left the forum and came back later and you could continue it.

 

So the question is, is there something broke for existing posts within the same thread, or am i missing something, because im working on one of my threads

and copying an pasting from one post to another and the formatted text just pastes as regular text. Can you guys look into this. Thank you for your work on the forum btw :)

I don't have errors anymore, but the forum pages are sometimes not loading anymore. Not really better to say the least.

48 hours with no forum access at all. Could get to the main site, but any attempt to access the forums meant watching the browser seeking icon going round and round and round and round, and no forums whatsoever... What the hell is going on BI? This is the first time I`ve got on here in 2 whole days, and this is 2 days after a DLC was released. There`s simply no excuse nowadays whatsoever for a flaky website.

I can also confirm. The forums will often give me 502 gateway errors or take 4-5 minutes to load any page. Even attempting to add a hyperlink into a post is hit or miss.

I knew there must be a thread on the gateway errors. The forum has been unreachable several times per day for weeks from my perspective. I've also used sites like this to verify it's not just me:

Forums are badly optimized I would say, Invision Power Board uses more HW resources than vBulletin used before.

 

Maybe changing/"increasing" some values in www and database server configs would rectify these problems.

i already thought the forums are down now... who the fuck thinks about using https instead and it might work...

I cannot sign (all the account controls are missing) on FF 57.0.4 (adblock on/off). When I click on "Sign in now" below the topic (while being logged out) it does nothing except showing (seems broken) this:

There are no errors (only warnings) in the console.

I've already cleaned bohemia.net cookies. No problems on other browsers.

I have a suggestion for the forums:

Currently the notification system works like this: A user does an action that creates a notification on my end (let's say he quotes a post of mine).

Now I get a bleep-noise and at the bottom of the screen a notification pops up, which allows me to directly go to the post that has the quote. Additionally the notification is added to the list of notifications in the top right corner, showing a little sign that a new notification has been added. Clicking on the new notification in the notifications list, I can go to the post that has the quote just as much as using the bottom screen pop-up.

 

By clicking on the entry in the notifications list in the top right corner, the little sign is being removed and the notification is being marked as 'read'.

But if I click on the pop-up at the bottom of the screen the notification is not marked as read, so I have to click on it again in the notifications list if I want to remove the little sign.

 

I suppose it would be better if clicking on the pop-up would mark the notification as read too.
