If you want some random analytics:
If you look at the time between the release date and the expansion release for previous titles, the average percent of games time-to-sequel that the expansion was released on for each is around 27% of time-to-sequel.

Considering when APEX was released, Arma 4 is looks like to have a average release date of around April 7, 2025, and the best case (33% of time-to-sequel) is February 20, 2023.

So it looks like Arma 3 might end up to be 10 years old until the next sequel. Average time between titles is around 4 years (and we're already past that point :P) and longest case so far is 5 years, 7 months (OFP to A1. If you read between the lines of various official communication, it's a record that is probably going to be broken).

 

But then again, lumps of salt, it's only 3 data points. :tounge_o:

 

games in general are becoming larger and more complex, its no surprise that production time is increasing

Now that BE Port is default at 2306, can it be changed otherwise? I am currently using 2306 for my RCON connection.

 

It wouldn't be an issue to change the rcon port, just curious if the BE port is changeable.

this is not BE RCON port, it's BE's own traffic port

 

BE RCON stays -1 (2301 default)

BE traffic from today's DEV branch onward gets +4 (2306 default)

 

the reason is get rid of some those time-outs, mass kicks and other stalls

so if someone of you running those 100+ player servers and getting those, it's time to test at some point vs DEV branch or at least RC when it comes

ArmA II was released in may 2009 and I used to play it untill 2016 until the server popilation began to stall.... it's barely populated now.

ArmA: Armed Assault was released in 2006. So the ARMA series, if you dont include OFP, is 11 years old.

Both on latest dev-branch, no mods running. In the first mission, the Kamsyh will wobble a little bit on the spot, then stop. In the second mission, the Slammer needs quite a lot time just to start up the engine, remains idle on the spot, then shuts down the engine again after a while.

I can provide a third case if necessary.

In the first mission the Kamysh did wobble for a sec, but drove away. How often does it happen? I tried 3x.
In the second mission the WPs are too close to the Slammer so the AI is able to complete them without moving. You can try https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/setDriveOnPath for such situations.

Happens every single time. :/ I've also had reports of at least one other person a while ago.

First vehicle will drive to his first waypoint, then stop. Then the second vehicle starts and goes until he has reached his second waypoint, then he stops as well.

On current stable branch this works without issues.

 

I wanted to record a video, but NVIDIA decided to make their video recording software retarded, so it doesn't really work anymore.

/Edit: Got it to work.

 

 

 

As far as I am aware, this happens since the tracked vehicle overhaul started. Wheeled vehicles are still working as before.

Unfortunately not the first time this happens - one might think BI would prevent stuff like this based on previous DLC/expansion dev-branch test releases.

 

Buuut still - better dev branch then stable I guess )

Are you still experiencing the issue? Sometimes it may take some time for the Steam licenses to propagate, but our Publishing experts are telling us it should be good to go now.
