About the 13th MEU (SOC) The 13th MEU ArmA Milsim group was established on November 11th, 2018. The unit was formed to play as Marines in a fun realism matter, utilizing specific addons to increase immersion and gameplay for our community. We want to provide a good balance between fun and realism for our community. We want our members to leave training's and operations with a smile on their face and good, fun memories to share with each other afterwards. Where do we draw the line in, "Realism" We draw the line in realism, when our members are not having fun or making true friendships. We don't want our members to feel they're at work, or in an actual barracks or training. Yelling, calling by ranks, yes sir, no sir, yes ma'am, no ma'am, officer on deck, rank pulling, etc.... yeah, throw that stuff out the window, we don't want or need that here. We are friends in a community, we even call each other family. We draw the line, when it gets ridiculous and too close to real world military life. Our Mission The mission of the 13th MEU is to provide a casual milsim community that members can call their ArmA home. One of our main priorities are balancing fun and realism. We understand we are playing a game and want members to have fun along with feeling immersed in our training and operations. We treat everyone like a family here and follow the Marine Corps core values, Honor, Courage and Commitment. Unit MOS and Roles The 13th MEU provides multiple roles for members to choose from, whether you like grunt work on the ground, dominating the skies or rocking the ground with armored vehicles. Right now, since the unit is small, we are only opening Infantry roles. Once the unit grows in numbers, we will open Armor and the Aviation Combat Element. The following lists shows what the 13th MEU will utilize. The 13th MEU will continue its current campaign, Operation Home Bound, working on Phase 3 December 5th!
  3. Unit update: The 13th MEU plans on undergoing major changes come 2021. We have plans on restructuring the unit from the foundation to further grow and expand the unit. Some changes that will come: - The unit will reform squads to the real world 2020 planned USMC Platoon. - Unit reform its Standard Operating Procedures. - Unit reform of the training curriculum. - Unit disciplinary action and rules reform. The 13th MEU is also looking for potential new members who are looking to build themselves into leaders of the 13th MEU. With the 13th MEU growing, we are always looking for potential leadership, looking at members attendance, attitude, skill and more, to fill future leadership roles for the unit.     RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)

    Hello RHS team. I have a question regarding the M224. I don't ask much about W.I.P items anywhere but is the M224 still planned or in the works. I read up past posts and even on your guys feedback page from 2015 and still wondering if the M224 is still planned. I trust in you guys to make a good 60mm part your addon, instead of installing the other 2 standalone addons (which are no longer updated), which don't work well in terms of effect on enemy and with ACE ballistics and downloading the BAF mod just to use 1% of the content in the addon. Thank you.

  6. Requirements: About the terrain: This terrain will be base on the real terrain of the Korengal Valley, I am trying as hard as I can to make this terrain as accurate as possible to the real deal. The terrain will consist of all the foot paths, roads, buildings, compounds, landmarks and bases that are present on the terrain in real life. Features: * Korengal Outpost * OP Restrepo (Former site) - This area will be on map and empty for custom base layouts * Towns / villages * Roads and patrol paths * Caves and hidden basements in houses * Dried river with rocks (The base of the valleys are gradually increasing in height so water in the river will not make it with out flooding the valley.)   7. Can anyone help me with where to put this function to get it to work. I put in the init.sqf, initPlayerLocal, iniPlayerServer, initServer. Nothing, not working at all, except when I put it in the initPlayerLocal, it shows the message at the top right, Now owner of () or Now owner of (Rifleman). The enemy are being spawned in by a dynamic AI script, would that be a problem? Do the vehicles have to be pre-spawned in? Thank you for any help. DISREGARD, FIXED IT.
  8. Fort Jackson, South Carolina I have finally got my terrain builder working! I can finally continue my progress on my terrains! About this project: This terrain is based on Fort Jackson training grounds. This terrain will be a bit off from real world as it is intended and built for ArmA units and people looking for a training ground with ranges that are built according to real satellite imagery. The buildings and compounds will be different and changed, roads, foliage and geographical features will be as accurate as I can get them. There are a LOT of empty areas and ranges as you may notice when exploring, this is done on purpose for individuals and units to build their own training areas. This terrain will be modified and not resemble the real world terrain 100% and is not meant to look pretty, it is purely made for the unit I am currently in! This terrain is intended for individuals or groups to use as a training ground. Required Addons: None Release State: v1.1 Features: Main spawn area. Accurate tree lines. Multiple ranges (Both built and empty for custom ranges). Partially built MOUT area (Partially built on purpose for custom MOUT layouts). Airport. EOD area.     My server is freezing at two full loading bars. I get a real date error in the RPT and in game , when I shut down the server and get a glimpse of in game, at the top right it says Real_Date extension must be active. I have it in my server directory. I tried naming the real_date_x64.dll to just real_date.dll, doesn't work. Check to see if the file was block, it is unblocked. Any solutions? Full Server RPT
  14. Ok, looks like the newest hotfix, fixed the issue.

So just started to get our headless client up on our servers, ran into a few issues, one is, the headless client freezing the server after 10-20 minutes gameplay, which I had to shut down the HC to unfreeze the server and continue playing. Note that I was only able to start the HC on the server once, I restarted the server to see if that would fix the issue of the freezing, then I started getting errors in my RPT Now after attempting to find the fix/put the HC on our other server, HC will no longer start up and is stuck at Loading Core Configs. Checking the RPT, this is what I get. Hosting through ArmAHosts. Windows Dedicated Server Box. Latest versions of ArmA. No mods on either servers or HC. RPT Log from HC All of our servers are up to date along with the HC. I also deleted all the Cache.CH files I could find on the server box. That did not help at all. I believe this to be the first successful launch of HC on our server, with the freezing report. Thank you for any help given.
  16. Hello, is anyone else having an issue where they can't access the Mission Operations computer on dedicated server. I uploaded our pbo on our dedicated server and I go up to the computer and nothing shows up to access it. I go into editor and test it and it works fine. Any solutions?
  17. The 1st Ranger Battalion is not new to the ArmA scene. The 1st Ranger Battalion has been around since late 2013 and has been in the community for 3 years until switching the unit to the 509th PIR. The 1stRB has been revived from the original founder. The 1stRB strives to be a Milsim environment for players to enjoy and have a great Milsim experience. The 1stRB provides weekend operations and training on Friday's and Saturday's. Friday nights being training and Saturday nights being private unit operations which is organized and executed like real world operations. The 1st Ranger Battalion is not a place for every one though, we like members to maintain a mature attitude and follow unit SOP's when in unit events. The 1stRB also enforces discipline upon its members, to keep the organization in top notch condition and keep a good public image. The 1st Ranger Battalion will be operating just like the real Ranger Battalion in the U.S Army. We will be conducting different raids, patrols, assaults and even some defense objectives. The objectives can vary from High Value Target take downs, hostage rescue, intel gathering, capture and more. Our missions will be ran as a campaign and the outcome of each mission will vary on how we do. Most of our missions will be using an addon called ALiVE, which allows a dynamic mission to be played and progress to be saved, we do not use Zeus or MCC in our missions against our own troops, so don't expect any sort of heavy PvP. The 1st Ranger Battalion provides multiple training courses to help our members gain the knowledge and be able to coordinate and work with each other in the field. These training courses will provide basic knowledge for the unit when operating in the field. It is mandatory for every member to go through the necessary training depending on the MOS they have chose. The 1st Ranger Battalion operates on Friday's for training and Saturday's for deployments/operations. Each official unit event will be based of U.S Pacific Standard Time. Every official event will be scheduled at 4pm PST. ABOUT THE SERVER Our public Insurgency server is a Dedicated Server built to run fun ArmA 2 style Insurgency ACE & ACRE missions, but with ArmA 3 with updated and modern versions of addons such as ACE and Task Force Radio. For those who played ACE and ACRE Insurgency servers back in ArmA 2, we are trying to revive the gameplay style along with other servers doing the same to provide a fun and realism experience on a public server. This server will be up 24/7 unless updates or restarts are needed. The server may under go mission changes as we like to switch the terrain up from time to time, so don't worry about having to play the same terrain over and over again. We will keep the mission style to insurgency but some missions may have a slight difference depending on the scripting that went into the different missions. These missions are pulled from mission devs that are not part of our group, but will be modified for a better experience, such as adding ACE, Task Force Radio and CUP Terrains. HOW TO JOIN To join our server, all you need is the required addons and the latest version of ArmA 3. REQUIRED ADDON LIST ACE3 ACEX CBA A3 CUP_Terrains_Core CUP_Terrains_Maps Task Force Radio HOW TO PLAY For those of you new players that have not played these style of missions, we will describe how to play. Insurgency is a mission of clearing red grid squares that indicates towns or buildings, within those red markers are hostiles. You objective is not only to clear red squares to turn them into blue or green squares, but also retrieve intel of ammo caches in the region. Intel can be in forms of cell phones, radios, documents, pictures and even talk to civilians for intel. Once intel is acquired, red question marks with a number next to it will pop up on the map. Those question marks will give the approximate distance in meters of the cache from the marker. Once you find the cache, you are to detonate the cache. Once all 12 ammo caches are detonated around the map, the mission will end and restart or move on to the next insurgency map. If players do not want to cache hunt anymore, that is fine. There are also randomly generated side missions that generate around the map, such as, Eliminate HVT's, destroy IED factories, Destroy enemy convoy, Capture and much more. These missions will also give the players rewards such as new vehicles and equipment back at main base if the task has been a success. Being part of our server with the Task Force Radio addon requires all players to join our Teamspeak server for communication. This allows players to have a better realism experience having to use radios to communicate from one side of the map to the other. This also allows better organization in the server for multiple teams of people to communicate with out stepping over each other with default in-game communications.   20. Unit Update: Cadet program opened. The 1st Ranger Battalion cadet program will allow younger members from ages 14 and 15 to enlist with the unit. Being part of the cadet program means that those members will only be able to reach certain ranks and certain abilities until they have met the age of 16. Cadets can only enlist as infantry as of now, however in infantry they may choose from infantry roles, Rifleman, Grenadier, Automatic Rifleman, they may also choose from Sappers (Combat Engineers) or Medics. Cadets will only be able to make it to Private First Class (PFC), which is a member that has completed all mandatory training, Basic Combat Training and Advanced Combat Training. Cadets will be under close watch due to age and possible maturity levels. Reserves program opened. The 1st Ranger Battalion reserves has opened and will allow members who cannot fully attend official unit events on Friday's and Saturday's to still be part of this unit and attend events when they can, however, every reserve member must check in at least once every month, if check ins are not made, the member maybe discharged from the unit.   21. Everytime I try to generate layers for my terrain fron Terrain Builder, I always get this error. I don't know why, I tried all the things I can think of, and would like to find out whats going on. It worked about 1 month ago when I first got into trying terrain making. But this is just out of no where. I have my P: Drive setup and everything.   22. Yeah, I was looking at some images, but another thing I was keeping in mind was frames. I am working on a new version with some areas with dense treelines and some more hilly/mountainous terrain for small ftx's in those type of environments.
