I have to agree to the sounds beeing baaad...

Like someone said, were´s the base?

@tpM: What are you using as reference to the sounds?

Any! mic will colour the sound and "clip" it to some degre.

So using any movie or sound file that has captured the

shot is bad..IF your after RL sound..

And yes i know what im talking about..I work semiprof with mixing and

mastring. Also as a composer and songwriter..

Going from Audigy2 to XFi - yes there is a big difference. I can hear things now that i didnt before and i have more bass. This was a clear difference when i upgraded. And i pay alot of attention to sound as its been one of my professions. I do have bass in the new sounds. The DMR could be little more "umph" but the standard weapons do sound good. If you search the forum and look how much ive been around discussion regarding sounds you would know i wouldnt settle with low bass and "air softy" sounds. :)

It just sounds very good on my rig. Wouldnt just say that for fun. That would be kind of stupid. ;)

May i kindly ask why this ticket has been rejected? Although i understand since there actually is nothing you could include it can't be worked on it, the reject shortly after i had oppened the "other thread" put's somewhat a strange light on it.

Some explaining words would be nice.

Would have sent a PM to you Sickboy instead of asking here but i know you don't answer PM's and i don't have any other way to contact you.

The discussion is about weapon sounds, not vehicles'...

Yeah for weapon sounds I use VOP... not ACE_SM. You can check their awesome sounds at http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=74004&highlight=vop+sounds

Sorry but I am about quality, not fan pride. Ace has some good modeled vehicles, that's about all the credit I can give (not to mention those models will soon be replaced with Operation Arrowhead's models).

As for the sound mod topic, like I said before, you can waste your money on a sound card from Creative Labs and pretend it has a dramatic impact on these sound mods or you can believe what you actually hear and realize there are better sound mod projects out there up for grabs. And free to download too.

Does anyone know if markings on the ACE2 binoculars are made to actual scale, and if so is it based on M19 binoculars? Was trying to use the mils to estimate range the other day, by dividing known size by number of mils and multiplying by 1000.

I cant update anymore....

The GUI stopped working ages ago it just cut out after a few seconds so i have just been running the SIX console and it has been fine for ages but today i have tried numerous times and i can't update....I get somthing like 'exhausted all mirrors' 'Error::Six::Repositories::Rsync::RsyncError'

Any help guys?

I had the same problem, then I realised I was using an old version of six updater so i just installed the new version & it was fine after that, maybe worth checking?

For one buddy you dont have the @ symbol infront of your british paras in the shortcut. You also might want to get rid of the space infront of each @ symbol.

Assuming the in-game binoculars are the same 10X40 binoculars I've used IRL, then the marking on them are actually not mils, but something else. Verified this (IRL) myself. Of course I'm not sure if the in-game binocs are the same as the ones I've used IRL, but they seem like they are.

Looking at pictures of M19 from google, it doesn't look like the binoculars we have in-game. BTW it's a 7X50 binocular, the in-game one seems like a 10X40 though I'm not totally sure.

Just want to mention...

BWMod is fully compatible with ACE 2 now...

You can get it either via SIX Updater or here:

There is a little error in the readme, there is no special pbo you need for ACE compatibility :)

also with the new Bis beta patch the US army soldier are missing body parts

Are you using any other mods that might be altering binoculars magnification? The binoculars in ACE are M22 by NWD and they are properly calibrated.

Do you have the same problem as me ?

If I use the Ace 2mod, I do not have anymore the Dynamic conversation system (talk to teamate, civilian etc...).

How can I reactivate it ?
