Mudkip 0 Posted April 13, 2009 I picked up Michael Jackson's Thriller 25 like a month ago, great classic hits. I would also recommend Avenged Sevenfold and Evanescence.
MehMan 0 Posted May 3, 2009 Does anybody know any more classical music mixed with modern stuff? I'm thinking in terms of Muse and Starsailors Four To The Floor?
HotShot 0 Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) Try by Ghinzu, sounds alot like Muse. Also, with four to the floor, listen to the soulsavers (who themselves have some haunting songs - find Ask the Dust) remix on the (brilliant) Layer Cake soundtrack. Its far superior to the original. Also, more a general point, but I would like to point out RCRDLBL - excellent website. Updated mon-fri. Was shown this yesterday which I quite liked: Empire of the sun Edited May 3, 2009 by HotShot added URL
MehMan 0 Posted May 3, 2009 Ugh, don't like that remix. Too noisy. The original is much cleaner. Better IMO. I like the clarity of the piano and how the strings overpower the rest of the instruments, yet retain the modern beat.

dmakatra 1 Posted May 4, 2009 (edited) Thought I'd throw in a band I discovered while browsing the forums of Ultimate-Guitar.com. It's an American band that deserves a lot more attention than they are getting. They produce music that is a lot better than the measly 3742 myspace-views they currently have would suggest: http://www.myspace.com/enpursuitmusic Highly recommend you download their EP (linked on their myspace page) and play it in the correct order as it's more or less a complete 20 minute-track. Track listing should be: 1. Lost in Circuit 2. Thailand 3. The Building 4. Prelude 5. Elesde Edited May 4, 2009 by dmakatra
CyDoN 0 Posted May 5, 2009 Does anybody know any more classical music mixed with modern stuff? I'm thinking in terms of Muse and Starsailors Four To The Floor? Haggard, Globus and Triarii is the best mainstream stuff in this genre if you want something else ask.

Steakslim 1 Posted May 13, 2009 Haggard, Globus and Triarii is the best mainstream stuff in this genre if you want something else ask. I should mentiont hat Globus is actually Immediate Music mascarading under a different name for commercial purposes. Those interested in more of their music should do some searches under "Immediate Music" title. Other companies like Brand X, APM, Musikvergnuegen, X Ray Dog, and Two Steps From Hell are all similar companies producing music for trailers and commercials. You cannot find their stuff in stores, but you can find it, I just cannot say how, don't want this forum getting in trouble.
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted May 19, 2009 Quick query for those remotely interested - I'm looking for the Catherine Wheel cover of "30th Century Man." If anyone can help out w.r.t. acquiring an MP3 copy, please send me a PM or such.
