ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead discussion thread

Recommended Posts

Simple buy digital version from some site for example Sprocket and download and play ;)

No, I'm one of the rather oldscool people. :D I need a original DVD in a original cover. (ok, maybe I'll print out one of those user made covers, cause I don't like the original one, but...) No download! :yay:

I just picked up this month's issue of the US PC Gamer and it has a big 1 page advert for Operation Arrowhead. 'Tis pretty cool, apart from mister "RAAAAAAAWR SILENCER & SAFETY RAAAAAAAAWR"...

Arma 2 got a GOTY award from PC Gamer?

Must be the July issue? don't see anything in June.

What's the point of a demo when the game comes out in less than 30 days. GIVE ME MY DEMO

So that the demo represents the quality of the game on it's release, and that you can try the demo before making a purchase. If you're going to buy it no matter what (like most of us here), then there really is no point to releasing a demo other than getting us to quiet down for a bit...

You burn DLC on your blanc DVD and you can get a "original DVD".

I'm just afraid of if only credit card payment will be allowed to get DLC.

.....though this doesn't mean to make mention of pay/free DLC issue

This got me worried. Am I able to get a DVD copy of OA after all? D:

Since I live in Finland, and my ArmA II copy is by 505 games.

Write it all up in notepad, then draw any pictures in paint... I'm sure even that will get some of us excited.

@Kristian:

If hell breaks loose you can still buy the german DVD Version with the worst localization ever in a videogame.

Except for the fact that the optics in modern AFVs are fully stabilised, and are actually pretty close to what you see in game.

The exceptions (based on content in A2) would be early model T-72s and the T-34, they should have noticable jump in the optics when the weapon is fired.

Ahh thanks then,I kinda figured modern tanks would have that.Even Steel Beasts Pro has no recoil at all. What it could then use is a good screen shake. No stabilization can remove what a person viewing thru optics feels.

No thanks :D

I'll wait either for Steam release or some English release from some site and order it internationally... But I'd still NOT like to go trough that trouble :butbut:

EB in Canada and the US were saying the same thing up until a week until the release of Arma 2.

It wasn't until EB got a ton of calls before they finally got off their butts and orders some copies.

Yeah, thats the prob, I'd be the only one in my town of 37,000 people to be calling

Same for me, but it is easier to order it online.

I invited all my 193 friends on steam to the Arrowhead group, that should give it atleast 50 more, I already pushed it from 280 to about 300.

Maybe they will tell us the demo release date?

I hope with those steam groups, they either release the Q&A(Which was due on the 30th of May...) or the Demo.

I mean...We have to get the demo eventually, I just want it sooner than later.
