They didn't mention black water mercenaries either, but we just saw them being confirmed...

BIS wouldn't show off units in OA then just not include them...

Exactly.

As far as more Opfor goes, even though there might not be alot in default, there is a mod that reskins russians to desert and theres an Irananian Mod already and probably an Israeli Mod going to be released as well. Also forgot about the Iraq addon (even though its kinda unrealistic to have Saddam's troops in OA).

Maybe the British and Blackwater units are going to be included as a surprise, maybe as future DLC, but it's not complete yet, but will be shortly after release?

I do hope they are, us Brits need some love too.

I just hope both those forces are with OA by default. That would be amazing!

Go BIS! Now all we need is that community Q&A thingy to be released...

I'd say they'll be DLC as you'd probably want to showcase you have the brits/sf in from the get go if they're included with release not hide them away. I would love to be wrong though.

DLC isn't really the "Bohemia Interactive Way", my guess is that the brits and stuff will be included from the start.

My thoughts exactly. I've never seen BI releasing a big chunk of new units right after the release of their game.

we need the FAQ answers and OA's demo to be released now.

I hope it's soon. Even if it is the preview missions we've been watching for months. I just want to get my hands on the Apache,

Do try and keep up...

Official DLC plans and after release support

As usual' date=' Bohemia will try to provide the best after release support as possible (as our past track record shows). This time, we also have plan to release some significant DLC for OA, more details about these plans will be revealed later.[/quote']

Yes. 100% Correct. :)

I mean I don't REALLY care if the Brits and the PMC's come as a DLC. I just want them to be in the game, one way or the other!

I just don't see why BIS would display screenshots with British Army in it and have a video made which showcases PMC's in it, then just not inculde them in the game. Seems pretty stupid to be.

Yet, It would be nice to see them in the stock game right out of the box. :D

@Defunkt- DLC could mean Patches. That's probably what they are referring to as I've never seen a DLC for any ArmA series game before. Unless when they say "Signifigant", they mean a huge bunch of new units. I mean, that would be cool aswell, just as long as those mercs and brits make it into the game. :)

They've always released patches, including patches that include new content, the language clearly indicates something other than their usual past practices; "This time, we also have plan".

Hardly:

BI are quite capable of trying something new. And please, stop stressing over the brits, of course they'll be in the game in one way or another. It might be from the get-go, or it might be in a DLC, but there's no question we'll get them.

Seeing as everyone is indulging in wild speculation, my (wild, speculative) bet is that there'll be some British units in the game by default and much more later in a DLC. The Brits deserve a fleshed out faction after all. I'm basing that on nothing at all and am probably wrong, so someone please take it as fact!

Where did the rumor that brits would be in really start anyway? I dont check this topic all the time but last time Brits came up there was just a bunch of guys wishing that they would be in.

They are not mentioned in this article, so i doubt that they will be in the default game.

Pretty cool if they get the British Armed Forces, German Special Forces and Mercenaries in alongside the US, UN and Taki's.

Or maybe it'll be released in a patch like Eagle Wing...?

Well, if those guys in the pictures are British then i guess its safe to assume that they will be in the game.

I seriously doubt BI will ever release DLC you have to pay for, they know the community can make a bunch of models for free.

All we can do is hope that those British troops will be in OA. I'm pretty sure the PMC's will because I saw in a preview a few weeks ago, a screenshot with one of those 2007 Chevy Tahoes in it...and why would they include that and not include some epic PMC units...? So I'm pretty sure those will be in OA on release...Now I'm just hoping to see them brits! :D

Much more plausible scenario:

The stress of developing OA drove the BI dev team to turn to binge drinking, resulting in them forgetting to publish the Q&A as well as releasing VBS3 screens accidentally.

I don't see a bad side in that. Finally, binge drinking pays off. :D

He's implying that those British screenshots might of been of VBS3 and not OA...which would mean...Not British Army for us....:(
