MrHuachuca 10 Posted September 7, 2014 Hello everyone! First off thank you for considering on clicking on this fourm! Below as you can probably see is a bunch of spoilers. Just so its not all jammed up and so much writing click on the spoiler below in a neat way to find out about this mod but let me introduce myself a little and what this mod is. So I'm [2NT] Pvt. Tristen. I'm a Helicopter Pilot for the Arma 3 Gaming Team "2NT" I fly so far only Ghosthawks,Littlebirds,Chinooks and the blackhawks. I'm still in training for other aircraft. I'm 13 years old (14 years old on this upcoming September 7th) and started playing Arma 3 when I was about 12. When I first got Arma 3 I thought it was pretty boring. Not as realism as I thought. I was thinking sandy deserts, Real Present Military Vehicles. I mean I liked arma 3 but I wanted it to be more realism. So 3 months ago I started on a new project that I have been working on ALOT called Arma 3 Madness Mod Pack. Now I never really thought of releasing it to the public but I just now changed my mind. So below you can explore what's already done, what's being worked on as you read this, and also what will be in future updates. This is a big project that I'm committing to develop for a long time. The download for the MOD is not present as I have to get the file prepped and make instruction manuals for each aircraft (read in section "Advanced Functions") and much more. I hope you guys have a fun time reading and enjoy! The download to the mod will probably be released in around Late November! Gear I take any suggestions! It will take me some time about 1 month for your request to be in the updates though. Ask anything! If your request is already in the mod pack its fine! There's a lot of mods and too much to know them all! Even I don't know them all! ------------------------------------ I AM ALLOWING PARTHNERS! mistyronin 1181 Posted September 7, 2014 I'm sorry because I may be a bit off, but I don't understand. Spartan0536 189 Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) I have the sneaking suspicion that he intends to recruit people to help him make this possible, and I dread looking at that small arms list..... Addendum: The Barrett M82, AI AW50, and the M2HB .50 are NOT Anti-Tank weapons, they will defeat light vehicle armor, this is why they are designated ANTI-MATERIAL Rifles, not Anti-Tank. RSF TheCapulet 59 Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) What's with all these middle-schoolers coming up with big ass lists of what they want, and slapping a WIP title on it? I thought people were being a bit harsh a while back when I first started seeing it. Now I'm understanding their annoyance a little more. That's enough content to keep any full professional team of developers busy for a very long time. Edited September 7, 2014 by TheCapulet orthography

Spartan0536 189 Posted September 7, 2014 Yes acctualy. The barrett, AI AW50, and M2HB .50 are under class of Anti tank. I did all my research to get the right classes for each weapon---------- Post added at 05:17 ---------- Previous post was at 05:16 ---------- Perhaps when John Browning designed the .50BMG after WWI it could penetrate the early tanks, but even with modern API ammo you will NOT be able to penetrate modern armor or even the armor of a WWII Sherman with a .50BMG. The US Military classifies the M82/M107 Sniper Weapon System as an ANTI-MATERIAL rifle, as it will defeat LIGHT ARMORED targets such as HUMVEES or up-armored vehicles utilizing "bulletproof" glass, but I can guarantee you that it will NOT penetrate the armor of a modern medium/heavy armored target. If the M82/M107 was truly an Anti-Tank weapons system we would not be issuing AT4 CS's or using the FGM-148 Javelin, we would have sniper teams deployed using API rounds. I will make this easy for you sir, Anti-Tank = Ability to defeat complex armor systems to either disable or complete incapacitate the armored target from being combat effective in an active area of operations. Anti-Material = Ability to defeat light armored targets or engage targets behind hardened blind barriers to neutralize the threat. There is a reason why an AGM-65 Maverick is classified an ANTI-TANK MISSILE, there is no such thing as an ANTI-TANK .50BMG round.
BadHabitz 235 Posted September 7, 2014 I think you'd have a better chance at getting help if you would show a sample of what you've already done.

The GAU-8 was invented to defeat soviet armor in Europe if the cold war ever went hot. (They just happened to decide to build the A-10 around the gun.) And that uses a 30mm depleted uranium round to defeat the armor. The .50 BMG is only 12.7mm. There are a few 20mm anti-material rifles out there but I do not think they can penetrate modern armor. That is one very long modlist.
Grumpy Old Man 3547 Posted September 7, 2014 Wow, what a huge project, I take it the OP will be 30+ with children before getting this stuff done. Kind of doubt that it's possible to do even a fraction of the original feature list in the time span mentioned in the OP (started 3 months ago with planned release end of november). Sounds eerily familiar like all these overly ambitious "revolutionary new" altis life script helping requests that show up from time to time. Anyway good luck on your project, if there's anything A3 needs, it's more content variety. Cheers
Tankbuster 1747 Posted September 7, 2014 What's with all these middle-schoolers coming up with big ass lists of what they want, and slapping a WIP title on it? I thought people were being a bit harsh a while back when I first started seeing it. Now I'm understanding their annoyance a little more. That's enough content to keep any full professional team of developers busy for a very long time. How can you say that? You are being so unfair! He's added a poll! A POLL!! nohalfmeasures 1 Posted September 7, 2014 Hmm... I find this hard to believe; I'm not sure for a 13yr old whom has had little education in programming if any at all could physically do all this alone which is what I'm assuming since there doesn't seem to be any credit as to regards for other people helping and you claim you have already done allot of the listed features. Not being rude but to me it seems like your a 13yr old with a great imagination and looking for people to help you bring these ideas you have had to fruition. midnightm3nace 10 Posted September 7, 2014 Guys I thought the ArmA community here was supportive. It sounds like an awesome mod. I say go for it, and if it doesn't work out then it doesn't work out. If it does, then we have ONE HELL OF A MOD. ---------- Post added at 16:31 ---------- Previous post was at 16:27 ---------- Stop giving him sh*t. And actually in certain cases, the AS50. and the M82/M107 ARE anti-tank, as they can penetrate Apache armor. There are cases where they were used to penetrate the armor of APC's with HVT Individuals in them, I believe, and a round was designed to penetrate the armor and then let the bullet go all over the place inside and mess up everything and everyone. Apache armour is nothing compared to tank armour, it literally wouldn't get off the ground otherwise. Now if we take an example tank, the Challenger II, one of them in Iraq took 14 RPG hits and a LAW (Brit version of the M72, it was captured from the Marines) into its belly and it wasn't penetrated, now we compare that to a rifle, even a bloody big one. And as to why people are "Giving him shit", because nothing has been posted, there are many threads where people have said I'll do this, post a huge list and then disappear of the face of the earth. Whether or not this guy is genuine, I don't know, and until then I'll refrain from calling BS, but people have a right to be sceptical.
deltagamer 612 Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) So is all the listed content going to be made from scratch or is it going to use existing mods from other community members and/or the ArmA sample models? Its a lot of work for one to do and for some reason I get an Altis Life vibe from this, do you plan on having servers set up to a similar fashion just like Altis Life as you mentioned servers in your first post "Make custom pro server". EO 11277 Posted September 7, 2014 Hard to say if this is just vaporware without any screenshots or a video to back it up, but if it's genuine....you have my support and i wish you all the best with your endeavours.
sgtsev3n 12 Posted September 7, 2014 wow, this is a huge list. if you really working on it and if you really release it, then WOW! how is the quality of the stuff ? high poly models ? and please dont give this to altis life. altis life does not fit in arma since arma is a military game and these altis life fanboys should stick with theyr few weapons/vehicles. please make a rule that its forbidden to use this package on altis life servers. anyway, if you would release it, i would download it for sure.
