Cold War Rearmed² Winter

Great work lads. Love playing bomberman again haha. Really takes me back. A few more little bugs here.

  • The XM113 or whatever (the M4) is has the M4_AIM model.
  • The Tokarev TT pistol cant use its magazines.
  • The 6 round GL for OPFOR has no iron sights mode.

Nah we're grateful for constructive feedback.

I see AK74 has zeroing while M16 for example does not. Is that a bug or is it there for a reason? AK seems to have quite heavy recoil up and to the sides as well. Im not sure that AK has so much more recoil then M16 since the cal is nearly the same.
M16 zeroing will be added asap.

I presume you talk about the AK74, in the next patch all 5.56mm rifles will have the same recoil.

I see that weapons have custom sound which is good becouse CWR1's initial sound was a bit so so:).
Thanks to the guys from ACE2 we use their weapon and vehicle sounds. Also most weapon config values are taken from there, which may explain the heavy recoil.
US officer has woodland camo hat, not sure if that is intentional.
The units are just a basic set for now, they will be improved.

Not good, really not. I look into that right now.

Edit: Just checked the russian officer, was able to fire and reload all 4 TT Mags.

The 6 round GL for OPFOR has no iron sights mode.
As said earlier, the 6G30 and MM-1 grenadelaunchers are not supposed to be used. Celery needed them for his PvP mission so I included them.

At present, you better don't use these ugly things. :D

Wow nice work Wolle and team!

Was wondering for the snow when you run around on the snow does the snow crunch under your feet,

and if not is there any plans to have this on the map?

Great XMas present CWR team.

I especially enjoyed the Kolgujev intro.

Too bad you will need to remove it when holidays will pass and it won't be as on-topic ;)

CWR is Cold War Rearmed, its a mod that brings back the OFP islands, missions and Campaigns to Arma2 and more!

This is the Winter version, as there were Winter islands and units in OFP.

If you played OFP (Operation Flashpoint) the first BIS game, then when you get ingame with this mod you will feel a guys whats the word for this...

not rememberence, dammit I cant think of it atm, but you get the idea.

no, they're not just ports. they are completely re-done. just, download the mod and play it, you'll enjoy it.

Hmm Port OFP stuff? is that even possible, and why would you, the models well no offense guys but old

and well in Arma2 they would look like crap, dont think they would work anyhow, but thats why it was redone.

ofp for ever :yay:

it will never die even not in arma II, i love the winter map but i am very very interested now in the final release of the whole thing :D

nothing to dislike in this release we get a little taste in how it might be ;-)

That`s just nice guys! :) But I still have few suggestions:

1) Make quadrant numeration letter-digital, not digital-digital

2) Make the snow Ñrunch under feet :)

Yes! I had pointed this out too, it really immerses you when you get the idea that your really walking on snow,

well for a game anyways:D

Thanks a lot CWR team, just played Bomberman and it felt awesome :)

In A1 the mod was good but A1 always felt totally clumsy in every regard, here in A2 the overall feel is very much like in OFP with nice side effects like better AI and good Gfx.

Cant wait for the Final! :cool:

Just IMHO, the mod shouldn't have done anything extra regarding weapon behavior. Adding separate classes for weapons already in Arma 2 and giving them custom recoil and sounds needlessly sets them apart from vanilla content that can be made to behave and sound differently in any case. I think that ACE2 (that CWR2 is trying to blend in with) should conform to other mods if its makers wish it to be current, not the other way around.
