SASrecon 0 Posted June 22, 2010 (edited) I like the use of the 'short range', 'medium range' and 'long range' target designation. Much easier to comprehend than the 'far'/'not far', it also tells you what kind of tactics you need to use to not get shot (if most of your targets are at short range then you can use your laser instead of your sight, but you better be behind some good cover :p) ---[Edit]--- For the love of god i hope we can turn off all that chit chat+1! cole 0 Posted June 22, 2010 How come i miss alot of 'this is a preview' text in the latest screenshots people make. Am I missing something ? This is not the preview version anymore. This is basically the finished game which is sent out to reviewers so they can write a review of the full product.
Fred DM 0 Posted June 22, 2010 This is not the preview version anymore. This is basically the finished game which is sent out to reviewers so they can write a review of the full product. this. the game's gone gold 2 weeks ago, so i seriously doubt anybody is writing on the basis of a preview version anymore. santafee 10 Posted June 22, 2010 Do we know exactly which improvments from OA will also be in Arma2 if you install it together? Talking about -Radio Chatter -Improved Explosions/Graphic Improvments -Engine Improvments[other then the Beta Patches] -Better NV Goggles
cole 0 Posted June 22, 2010 My Arma2 is german version. If i buy OA english version... what language will i have after OA instalation? English or German. Quoting the big boss, German copy of Arrowhead can be fully in English, including the content of original Arma 2, as long as you run it from Arrowhead (and honestly, my experience so far is that there is many reasons to play even the original content in Arrowhead and I did not encounter any real problems so hopefully you will have no reason to use the old German only game). We tried to remove as much language restrictions as possible in Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead to make it smooth for users with different editions. On the other hand, there still has to be some limitations present even in Arrowhead. To be specific: Russian and Polish versions still will stay with the respective language locked. The reason is quite simple: those versions will retail for significantly lower price than any other versions because of this limitation. tl;dr version: Run your copy using the Arrowhead exe and you'll get it in English (or German, as the German copy will have optional English language as well)

So yes, everything you mentioned should be as it is in ArmA2:OA. The only thing that is unclear is whether the units from the original ArmA2 will be FLIR compatible... Why you would launch ArmA2 on it's own if you have OA is beyond me, but I don't think these changes you mention will be in ArmA2 if you launch it on it's own. Somebody can correct me though!
