ASM - Arma Samples Mod

AH64 is done somwhere on my dev hard disc, im not doing UNITS for @ASM, BAF vehicles are last on my list same as PMC.

Here is small update, i made additional 2 Hueys (I miss them in arma)

This mod combined with Arma 3 map pack terrain will make A2 revive on the real virtuality 4 engine ;)

Also just curious if all of the content will use the same sounds as in Arma 2? So will all the weapons use the Arma 2 sound, or have you implemented a custom sound?

Im using sounds from JSRS from Arma 2 like many mods on armaholic, with full LordJarhead Credits. Is it possible to find better sounds? Nah i dont think so.

@Up, would you be able to have two separate modsets, one with the normal Arma 2 sounds and one with JSRS, because my community would love to use the normal Arma 2 sounds, or would that be too much work?

Will the Weapons support ASDG Joint Rails?

considering it supports all of the major scope addons in A3 it would be extremely important imo.

i look foward to this pack its looks very nice!

It will support all attachments from A3 and FHQ (Best mod imho atm)

It would be really good with ASDG Joint Rails, there are also lot of other high quality scope mods like scopes in RH M4 or Iansky Scope Mod

Excellent news! It was something which had been concerning me; using JSRS's Arma 3 sounds, the vanilla Arma 2 sounds would sound terribly out of place. JSRS Arma 2 sounds are incredible.

I'm looking for help with Granade Launchers, i have no idea ( tried LOT OF TIMES TO MAKE IT WORK ) how to make GL in weapons, i be glad if some1 KNOW how to do it and can help me step by step. Thanks!

I don't know that but I think you can see config of a weapon with GL and maybe you can find a solution.

Are the vehicles listed in the OP the full list of what's gonna be in the first release? Looks good so far, but I hope as much as possible gets added in the future. I'm happy with this for now :)

Interesting how blurry the textures look compared to Arma3 stuff. I think just blowing them up to higher resolution and adding some sharpening might work wonders.

No. Absolutely do not do this. If you're going to put any time into textures, do it right or just spend the time doing something more useful. I cannot stannnnnnd when "modders" just upscale and sharpen. It doesn't look any better and often looks worse. You cannot make something of nothing. If you want more detail you have to put it in there, you can't just pull it out of a magical low resolution texture hat.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but it's a terrible practice that modders seem to love for whatever reason. If anything, you should be sampling assets down, never up.

God I hope this is coming soon, Arma 3 needs so much more content, please release soon. Thanks for all of the content, its awesome. Also, will Arma 2 custom mods be usable after this content is released, for instance will I be able to use the M27-IAR (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=18391) like with the A3MP how you could use modded maps after you ran A3MP? Thanks

I wouldn't think so, each item has to be configured separately which is why it's taking a long time. You could try looking into the configs and try applying tweaks for personal use.
