Hi, Im trying to setup a server with some mods. Hello im trying to get a dedicated server to run for myself and some friends. Im running it off Ubuntu 18.04 and SteamCMD latest copies of everything. Im trying to load up and run the Vanilla Antistasi BluFor Mission. I have everything installed and I execute the server with the following command in my terminal ./arma3server -config=server.cfg It launches the server using the settings from my server.cfg file which I copied from the dedicated server guide section on these forums and you can view my exact settings here. Download server.cfg The server boots and I can join it however I see 1 error on the terminal when its booting up which reads. Warning Message: You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted. a3_characters_f and then the whole console gets spammed when a user joins the server with Mission Antistasi.Altis read from bank. and nothing happens client side, the server just idles there and any user connecting stares at a loading page for 3 minutes before the server auto boots you. Anything im doing wrong here I am new to the dedicated server side of things. If anyone can include their server.cfg or any pointers i can do please help. Direct instructions would be nice.

I have just installed steamcmd and Arma 3 on a dedicated Ubuntu-based server, and have been following this tutorial to help me set it up. As described at the top of the document, arma3 is installed in /home/steamcmd/arma3/ install, but the config files etc are in /home/steamcmd/arma3/public. There is also a script in /home/steamcmd/arma3/public called start.sh which should start and configure the arma server. ./arma3server can be executed correctly from /home/steamcmd/arma3/install, and there is a symbolic link to this executable in /home/steamcmd/arma3/public. However when I run ./arma3server from within /home/steamcmd/arma3/public, I get the following error: 2:54:04 No product.bin found, using defaults for a core engine. Running Steam on ubuntu 19.04 64-bit STEAM_RUNTIME is enabled automatically Unpack runtime failed, error code 1 Error: Couldn't set up the Steam Runtime. Are you running low on disk space? Continuing... Press enter to continue: I have narrowed it down to the fact that when I run ./arma3server from /home/steamcmd/arma3/install, it uses steamcmd.sh (located in /home/steamcmd/). However when I run it from /home/steamcmd/arma3/public, it uses steam.sh (also located in /home/steamcmd/) which I gather is a legacy executable. My question is how do I make it use steamcmd.sh instead of steam.sh, as steam.sh causes the error. Thanks for any help.

Hey guys So I'm having a problem with the starting parameters for my server. I'm just trying to host a small server for my friends and I and for some reason I can only load one mod at a time. For context I'm using a LGSM server install on an Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. The mods are loaded in the root directory of my Arma server install and no matter how I set up my content I can only load one mod. Here is an example -mods=@RHSAFRF;@CBA_A3 this only loads RHSAFRF and if I set it up this way -mods=@CBA_A3;@RHSAFRF this only loads CBA_A3. What could the issue be?

So I'm trying to load mods on my server but no matter how I copy over the files (either links or an actual copy of the dir) it still doesn't load the mod when I launch the server. The directory also has all lower case but it still does not help. The server runs good otherwise. Anything input would help thanks!

Hello everyone! This is my first time posting here and I just need some help troubleshooting my server. So I've been having some issues and currently I'm getting a segfault when I launch my server. I was having issues prior to that as well where the server would close immediately with some lock out error and before that my server would not load mission when voted it would just kick me back to voting another mission. Any help would be great! thanks again

Well the Arma Gods have rained their blessings .. not Ryan Blessings ... over us Linux users :D And it makes us so happy, I mean "Screw windows 10 and their facebook ways!", Linux for ever and ever and ever.. Vulcan API and all that niceness. that said.. The damn Server Browser doesn't work on 1.82, and I did verify my data, and it did work properly on 1.80, all other Steam Linux games work properly.. What is going on? Can anybody help? Does it work for other Linux users?

Hi, i'm really sorry about this but I'm getting a pretty serious error on my Ubuntu 16.04 Arma Server. Every time I shut down my server, with CTRL - C, i get the following error. This happens, all the time, everytime, with/without mods. It started the moment i first launched the server and still happens weeks later. It dumps huge core files (2GB), which isn't good, my storage is running out rapidly. I dont know whether It is safe to do so or not, or if there are any unexpected reprocussions after deleting them. How can I stop these damn errors? Please help, It's really frustrating. Let me know if you need any other information, i will happily get back to you as soon as possible. Fin

Woah it's so good to be able to play on real servers... You guys must bring this experimental build to bar with main branch.. I mean Guys Don't screw me after this taste of actually being able to play on KingOfThe Hill servers with more than 2 enemy players.. I don't have Windows. End of line! Anyways Few small issues.. "SuperKey" takes me back to Desktop on Ubuntu 17.10 Gnome (On Sa-Matra missions it is used to view info on other players) Solved super key issue by switching gnome superkey settings left to right Opening door with Action menu is... Maybe it's my own keybindings... I have to do furder investigations (Default action doesnt activate) Solved by rebinding keys. Voice chat doesn't send data to other players, i can hear others the automatic microphone volume thing works i believe! But nobody can hear me. Dunno how this was solved but it works now. (restart maybe, or trolls didn't answer to me :D) (or the 500kb update) The game settings configuration changes don't save. It Default every time I log on to a new mission(server) or restart game. I think it was due to file coudn't be saved by game (accessed) Edit - Redefining issues as PARTLY FIXED by configuration changes. I will make bug reports on bug tracker asap..

I know this is a long shot, but I'm determined to make it work if possible. Trying to get this going on Ubuntu with PlayOnLinux (PoL), using the default POL steam installation. I get the error "Cannot find suitable format for depth/stencil buffer." while trying to launch arma3.exe. I've reinstalled and tested DirectX a few times and installed .NET 4.6 and everything, and I've tried basically every module available in the PlayOnLinux menu. Anyone happen to know what causes the above error? Extra info: I know my hardware is good - ArmA 3 linux edition works just fine , but it's stuck on 1.64 instead of 1.68 so I can't join any public servers :( (And other games run fine on my windows Steam in POL)
