rasdenfasden 12 Posted August 20, 2009 AK-74 (GL) (Often is just as good as any other gun, it's useful at all ranges that you typically fight in.) DMR (it's outrageously good at long range) M16A4 ACOG M203 (when I want to hit a guy between the eyes at 600m then blow him up)
Schurer 0 Posted August 20, 2009 Preferably an M4 with ironsights or the M249 (Ingame) In real life I'd much rather stick with the German MG3 and an ELCAN sight - you just gotta love that sound it makes in the morning :-P
Desert 10 Posted August 20, 2009 DMR > M16A4 ACOG > G36 :p
MadCatChiken 10 Posted August 20, 2009 G36 cos it looks awesome, DMR cos it has a good capacity range and power, AK-107 with PSO, PKP because its a fully auto sniper rifle.. and the KSV.
cossack8559 10 Posted August 20, 2009 Love using the AK-47 and the AK-74 at the moment :D
cjsoques 0 Posted August 20, 2009 I don't recall the name of the weapon here is the description: US Light Machine Gun Weapon Dark Green in Color Has 100 round clip (I think) Has tracer every three or five rounds It seems to be slightly smaller than the M249...it's so much fun
max power 21 Posted August 20, 2009 In ArmA with NWDs ballistics, I really really liked the Dragunov. I dont' really have one in ArmA 2 yet, but I once used the m8 automatic rifle / scope variant that that thing was pretty smooth. Lots of bullets, some zoom, but not a lot of recoil. -Paladin- 10 Posted August 20, 2009 I normally love G-36s. It was my favorite in OFP and in ArmA but I don't like it in this one. It sounds odd and I can't hit anything with the suppressed version. its buged you hit your self when you shoot to often looks like its not aimed, that what happen to me. the bullets dont fly wher they shood. :(
GoOB 0 Posted August 20, 2009 The Hunting Rifle is my favourite, low tech is the way to go.
otrebla_snake_ita 2 Posted August 20, 2009 Before or after its been run over with a tank (to get that "well-seasoned" handling quality)?I also saw that some Russians villagers pulled a WWII Soviet tank from a scummy pond using a tractor (it was actually completely submerged in the mud itself) and got the diesel running with little trouble at all. That's one of the most reliable weapon in the world XD it's strong and nice aesthetically. Not really accurate, yeah, but I just say "never mind" about that point: I love this weapon =)
JackandBlood 10 Posted August 25, 2009 Depends on the job at hand. Guns are just tools at the end of the day. Damn straight. Someone famous said something to the ends of like "My favorite weapon is the one I got ammo for". That said the DMR feels an awful bit like any of the 5.56 NATO guns, and has the stopping power to boot.
Beagle 684 Posted August 25, 2009 The G36..as soon as BIS puts the Aimpoint back in as in 1.0 In the Meantime its the AK-107 PSO.
STALKERGB 6 Posted August 25, 2009 Have to say i'm not really a fan of russian weapons but have been enjoying all Ak varients... maybe its the noise they make :) Loving the M1911 :)

Fudgeblood 10 Posted August 26, 2009 Mk 48 Mod 0, 'tis an awesome gun. Otherwise it's the XM8 MG or the M4A1 with holo and GL.
quickdraw_01 4 Posted August 26, 2009 I use the M16 ACOG M203, or a SAW with atleast a 4X Zoom. Is there any difference in the the range of the M4 and the M16 in the game?
pj[cz] 2 Posted August 26, 2009 M16A4 M203 ACOG for complex mission and M1014 or Saiga for CQB :)

I don't think so, just accuracy. But I'm not even sure that's different since they both use the same ammo, which means same ballistics. Im not sure if accuracy is defined by the ammo or the weapon
Mudkip 0 Posted August 26, 2009 ;1420195']M1014 or Saiga for CQB :) That's really stupid... I wonder why they even bothered to put shotguns in this game if they only shoot slugs...
cjph 0 Posted August 26, 2009 ;1420195']M16A4 M203 ACOG for complex mission and M1014 or Saiga for CQB :) Ditto for its flexibility. Plus the SPR or MP5SD depending on the mission. cjph
