Most of the shops over the world probably have a bunch of copies already, but do they sell them? so what? unless you're dealing with Activision or EA you probably don't have to fear any repercussions. in the grand scheme of things, OA is a minor release. hm.. and BIS wont do anything against this??.. It isn't Lawful.. It's called unfair competition.. i really don't know why anyone but the other stores should give a damn, but even they probably don't unless we're talking about a big release like the next CoD. i'm happy for our German friends who could get the game early. BIS are probably happy their game is selling. Edited June 26, 2010 by Fred DM
W0lle 1046 Posted June 26, 2010 Hey all... hi BISWhy is the Game in German Media Markt Stores already free for Sale??? Think june 29th is release....??? What files are required for running the Server with Arrowhead? and how to start? June 29 is the official release, there's nothing BIS can do if certain stores sell it earlier to make some cash fast. However you are not able to play the game online before the official release date because gamespy does not unlock the keys before. So all you get is an invalid cd key error. Since none of us has the game yet we're also unable to tell you to run a server.

wolf359 19 Posted June 26, 2010 (edited) I was wondering if some of the nice germans could help update the BIS Wiki to include the new classnames for weapons/vehicles/etc?I will help when I get my copy in 2 days, but it'd be nice if somebody could get a head start on it :) It'd help the whole community out quite a bit I think. An update from my list of weapons, vehicles and characters started May 22nd (page411) based on videos showing the preview version: http://www.gameprotv.com/arma-2-operation-arrowhead-preview-video-6697.html http://www.tvtech.it/video/680/arma-ii-operation-arrowhead-videoarticolo (05:30) Anyone feel free to use it for a complete list of classnames as I will not have the time to do it. There may be mistakes as I do not have the game yet (my local Media Markt found out they forgot to order Arrowhead when I asked them today…).I hope this helps you to prepare while you wait. The new controls are shown in the manual which was already posted by others: http://cdn.steampowered.com/Manuals/33930/ARMA%202%20Operation%20Arrowhead_manual%20for%20DVD_UK.pdf?t=1277490167 / = switch weapon sights (e.g. G36, SCAR) Page up/down = zeroing L = Laser Flashlight throwing range of handgrenades = hold left mouse button Here is the list: I have added some comments in brackets for those who are new to the game - if you know all the weapon sights etc. just ignore it please. 9P117 Scud B (Tak) AA IGLA Pod (Tak AA Specialist (Tak) AA Specialist (Tak Militia) AGS30 (Tak) AGS30 (Tak Mil) A10 US (jet aircraft) AA Launcher US AA Specialist US AH64D US (helicopter) AH6J US (helicopter) AH6X US (ULB = unmanned littlebird) AK74 AK74 GP25 (+grenadelauncher) AK74 GL Kobra (red dot) AKM AKS (folding stock) AKS74 AKS74 GOSHAWK (thermal Imaging Weapon Sight) AKS74 Kobra (red dot) AKS74 NSPU (image intensification night vision) AKS74 PSO (telescopic sight) AKS74U AN 2 (Tak) (Aircraft) Asst AT specialist Javelin Asst AT Specialist US Asst AT Specialist Tak Asst Auto Rifleman US Asst MG CZ Asst MG US Asst MG Tak AT Specialist Javelin US At Specialist US ATV CZ (all terrain vehicle, Quad) ATV US Autom Rifleman US Autom Rifleman US Autom Rifleman Tak Autom Rifleman Tak Mil Character Aziz (Tak) BM21 Grad BMP2 HQ Tak BMP2 Bonesetter (medic) BRDM-2 ATGM Tak BRDM 2 Tak BTR40 Tak BTR40 DShKM Tak BTR60 Tak C130 J US CH47F US Commander (Tak) Crewman (Tak) Crewman US D30 Tak Army D30 Tak Mil DShKM Tak Mil DShKM Minipod Tak Engineer Tak Character Drake Light US Character Drake US Engineer US Javelin (AT rocket) Stinger (man portable air defence) FN FAL (rifle) FN FAL ANPVS 4 (image intensification night vision) G36A camo G36 C camo G36 C SD camo G36 k camo Glock 17 (pistol) Character Graves light US Character Graves undercover (Tak Militia) Character Graves US Grenadier US Character Herrera light US Character Herrera US HMMWV Ambulance CZ (armoured 4x4 car) HMMWV Ambulance US HMMWV Mk19 US HMMWV TOW US HMMWV US HMMWV CROWS M2 US (CROWS = common remotely operated weapon station) HMMWV CROWS Mk19 US (grenade launcher) HMMWV GPK M2 CZ (GPK = gunner protection kit, heavy MG) HMMWV GPK M2 US HMMWV SOV US (SOV = special operations vehicle) HMMWV Terminal US HMMWV Utility US Igla (man portable air defence) IR Strobe KORD Tak (MG) KORD Minipod (Tak) KSK MG German special forces KSK Paramedic Ger KSK Rifleman Ger KSK Scout Ger KSK Team Leader Ger KSVK (heavy sniper rifle) Lee Enfield (bolt action rifle without optics) M107 (heavy sniper rifle) M107 TWS (Thermal Weapon Sight) M1097 Avenger US (HMMWV Air Defence) M110 NV Scope (image intensification night vision - semi automatic sniper rifle) M110 TI Scope (Thermal Imaging Weapon Sight) M119 US (howitzer) M136 launcher (single shot AT rocket) M14 AIM (red dot brown colored) M16A2 (rifle) M16A2 M203 (+grenadelauncher) M1911 (pistol) M1A1 Desert US (tank) M1A2 TUSK Desert US (TUSK = tank urban survival kit) M2 Machinegun US M2 Minitripod US M24 desert (painted) (bolt action sniper rifle) M240 scope (heavy MG) M249 SAW (light MG) M249 scope M249 TWS (Thermal Weapon Sight) M252 81 mm Mortar US M2A2 Bradley IFV US (tracked infantry fighting vehicle) M2A3 ERA Bradley IFV US (ERA = enhanced capability reactive armour) M32 (Grenadelauncher) M47 (Dragon Antitank rocket) M4A1 (black) (rifle) M4A3 ACOG GL (painted camo) M4A3 CCO (painted camo) M6 linebacker US (Bradley Air Defence version) M60E4 (Machinegun) M67 Frag Grenade M79 (old Grenade Launcher) M9 (pistol) M9 silenced MAAWS (Medium Anti-Armor Weapon System = Carl Gustav variant) Machinegunner CZ Machinegunner US Machinegunner US Makarov PM (pistol) Makarov silenced Marksman US Marksman US Medic US Medic US METIS AT13 (antitank rocket) MG Nest US MG36 Camo (light MG) MH6J US (helicopter) Mi24D (Tak Army) Mi 8 (Tak Army) Military offroad MG (Tak) Military offroad MG (Tak militia ?)
