My goal is to have all vehicles, variants and options that are based on chimera, leman russ, rhino and landraider hull before i start importing them into max to start with modelling/texturing

I'm now working on a 1:1 reproduction of the portuguese island of porto Santo. That's an island near Madeira.

Sat has been done taking GE images

- Terrain is 90% done. Only small tweakings left for adjusting objects positions.

- Preliminary Mask with 6 colours. Will try adding more colours to see how it ends. Textures taken form Arma 1, Arma 2 and A2: OA.

- ALICE and SILVIE modules compatibility added.

- War module compatibility added (City centers and bunkers are automatically added in warfare missions.)

- 1 airport. (Works with AI too)

- 1 LHD placed in the map.

- 99% of the road net has been added.

- Only Arma 2 objects have been used. Won't need OA.

- I would say around 30% of the objects have been added. Now I'm adding fences, walls and sidewalks (OMG, it's boring)

FINALY A PORTUGUESE STUFF im in the armed forces for 8 years and played from OFP until OA have the game series and gold editions, and i want a portuguese comunity to make great stuff, if you are not portuguese tank you, but i love to have portuguese mod to make a moder army like Leopard 2A6 like the one we have and Pandur 2 personal carrier hummer froms comandos...and so on F-16 we have a lot of units rangers commandos, airborne paraquidistas....and no mod its realy sad....but tanks for one peace of my contry TANKS A LOTTTTTT

Obviously still missing a few bits like belt loops, inner seam, bottom hemline and stuff and the normals are really weak at the moment but hence she be a WIP. Ignore the shoes and other stuff to I never got around to finishing those either :D

looks jizzin' yo. You can change the helmet on the middle guy with the Ssh68 with the helmet cover to have no helmet cover if you change the paths to use the Takistani soldier textures. Something I discovered on my travels with my naval infantry addon.

Are you planning to give them different webbing and some without 6B5s?

thanks for the helmet tip.

as for removing the 6b5 altogether, that's part of the torso model i'm afraid. i can try reshaping the vertex and uv though, hopefully the results will be acceptable.

Will you be adding any units with black skull caps or ushanka's, johncage?

yeah, those are just a few of the units.

Sounds like you've found sounds that distory with the doppler effect pretty well.

In the second video, would you really be able to hear them incoming on such an angle? Aren't they supersonic?

That round was fired charge 4 (muzzle velocity of 278m/s), which is sub-sonic.

Only charges 6-7/8 are super-sonic.

needs more of the air tearing sound incoming makes. thats what you hear when a big round goes over your head.and remember you never hear the one that gets you.

Yea, trying to get that sound... Might have to do some recording this weekend.

I liked the description in Red Storm Rising of artillery over head:

First the guns. They saw the flashes long before they heard the rolling thunder of the reports. Fired from behind another hill three kilometers away, the shells arced through the sky to their left, cutting through the air with a sound like the ripping of linen.
