is there any way to change tracer color from OFPOR to white instead of green tracers?  it's so unreal.

Also, Can I set up arabic voices to OFPOR instead of Independent?

you do know the russians/communist block countries use green tracers right?

I really love your mod but since i installed the 1.04 i have some problemes.

I can't deploy the weapon (shift+space) and i can't change the scope for the ironsight (shift+f). Shift+h for grenade and Shift+v for evaluating the distance doesn't work too sad_o.gif

I really likes theses features in the 1.02 so i will return on this version for the moment. If you have a solution, i am interest.

ps: sorry for my bad english.

-Are you running any other mods.

-Is it Arma 1.14 or Arma 1.15Beta

-Which mission are you running..

Also try those features by going into editor and putting a soldier on a map..

we have a server here in Brazil running  the ArmA the 1:15 Beta with ACE MOD 1.00 is needed upgrade to 1.02 or can go straight to 1:03 and 1:04?

Either run through the complete update process (every update), you could automate this by running the included sixarma-updater.exe.

Or uninstall the current version of the Mod and install the latest Full Setup, and install any updates that came after the Full Setup, if any.

The mod is just getting better with every update, you gentlemen make a superb job thumbs-up.gif I really like the new M16/M4 models.

Just a question, are you planning you make more weapon modifications? Like M4s, M16s with EoTech, G36s with grenade launchers, M16s with vertical grip to be specific...

We've got to draw a line somewhere and there will always, always be somebody that wants just one more variant.

Right now, I don't see that we're missing any capability given the weapon sets we have - with the possible exception of the OPFOR weapons. I suppose we are missing capability there to a certain extent...

Would be nice for opfor to get some modern weapons, all thats really needed IMO are

Rifles - ak74m and ak-107, with cobra sight/gp-30 options

AT- rpg with PGO-7 sight, and working iron sight.

ATGM - at-13 man portable and kornet emplaced.

Those would fill the current gap in equipment.

By any chance, was the wound system somewhat "simplified" in 1.02?

Russians seem to go down after taking 2 hits from everything, and I have no after effects of getting shot. I still have those falling down, screen turning black moments, but I don't have any pain afterwards, just bandage and I'm good to go, other than weapon shaking.

Maybe it's FFN, or maybe it's just the mission I was playing in-Invade Tatawin.

Also, I seemed to get to slower prone movements in 1.02. What do you think the issue might be?

Oh, and I am using the ACE mod XEH.

Bug: All of the M14 reflex/holo type sights are 'broken' for me. I get visible reticle/dot outside of the sight view.

I really hate some of the server settings out there; enforcing weapon cursors, while ensuring that I cannot use my own addon to get rid of it by checking for signed addons. I haven't seen an addon that meet my requirements so I wrote my own.

So, a suggestion to handle this: A clientside difficulty setting which removes all weapon cursors (but keeps grenades and at least the lock indicators for Javelin and Stingers), or a level it which it is done, i.e.:

0 - all cursors enabled (default).

1 - remove weapon cursor only, but leaves grenades, launchers, and lock indicators.

2 - remove weapon and launchers, but keep grenades and lock indicators (which would be my personal preference).

3 - remove all but lock indicators (which my current mod does).

4 - remove absolutely everything (equal to serverside setting).

Being enforced to play with weapon cursor ruins the experience for me, while I do not want to loose the lock indicators which happens if server has cursor turned off. For our own server this is not a problem (custom mods allowed), but joining public servers is now a big let down.

I love the new sounds, but the AH64 is still annoying as hell biggrin_o.gif I also don't like the vanilla ArmA air vehicle sounds at all. KA52 has a very good sound to it, also nice model. Kudos to that. Hoperfully a new Bradley will see its day eventually.

All in all, great updates. Keeps me busy, lol...

you can always use addons, ACE is environment, so on this environment you can use addons released by many addonmakers

Problem with 'custom' addons instead of begin part of a big unified one that 'everyone' is running, is that you can't use it for creating missions as 'nobody' is willing to download a specific addon just to play on a certain server which has this mission.

'Most' popular public multiplayer missions has no addon requirements.

Naturally there exists exceptions, but also look at the numbers of players they have. I for one never bother downloading a specific addon just to join a Domination server with three people just to have a certain aircraft or whatever.

Back on track.. Any specific reason the AK-47 uses 5.45 and not 7.62? Config not ready yet or something? Although I do find some references of AK-47s chambered for 5.45, they appear to be quite rare.

he see fit..Like the game Americas Army Online i think...

Not possible to our knowledge in the ArmA engine, hence we use workarounds for such features, like the Attachments and CQB switching system.

(oh just remembered, ACE attachments system just lacks an interface atm; anyone willing to help out in that regard could speed up the finalization of the system)

For some reason Monty you seem hell-bent on turning this thread into your own little emotional, drama queen, pity play, that's really unfair for a mod you supposedly enjoy using, I'm going to PR you for 48 hours, and yes that is a little harsh in this circumstance but you seem to only respond to the extremely dramatic, so please, I implore you, think about your actions in this thread and ensure that when you return you show people you weren't talking rubbish when you said that you like this mod and you give feedback on it (as non-constructive as it might have been) because you only have the best of intentions for this mod.

I will also be cleaning up this thread so will delete some of the OT/Emotion charged posts by various people.

You're right, there might be over seventy-thousand-eighty-two variants of weapons if you would listen to every petitioner for new weapons and variants, and I understand you don't wan't to waste your time to make new models for every M4 with the laser sight on the other side of the rifle smile_o.gif

I was just curious about it, because I'd love to see the M16A4 with EoTech and top-railed G36s with grenade launchers and diffferent sights. Of yourse you shouldn't rush to make 24 new weapon variants for only one man's request, if I don't have them, I will still survive this horrible loss biggrin_o.gifbiggrin_o.gifbiggrin_o.gif

Anyway, I can still do it myself, I'v heard putting different parts onto guns is just some kind of copy-paste procedure, and is not very hard to do. If I figure it out how to do it, then I will ask for permission from you to make some new wep models.

Other: the chevron of the Cobra sight is very dim for me, and it's barely visible when I'm looking at some objects.

Other other: in the mission editor, some addons that works with the mod are invisible in the editor's list. For example SchnapsdroSel's mercenaries are working fine with it, but the civilians are not. I've put some of his civvies onto Rahmadi in normal ArmA, then I've started ACEmod, opened the mission, the civs were there. When I move the cursor over it, it writes "Civilian1(City)" and when I click on them, the character class shows "Iraqi civilian 1".

And this is the case with some addons, they can be played in the mod if they're already in the mission, only they are not listed in the editor's unit placing window.

I have 3 SF/Force-Recon Type of mission here and in ALL of em i actually would LOVE to make your SCARs to their default loadout.... however no SCAR-L ACOG-EGLM-SD Variant, as well as not Eotech/Ironsight/Doctor with SD + EGLM, keeps me avoiding your pack at every choice....

Ever thought that a EGLM can be used too even though having a SD gun? Can be used to illuminate/smoke-mark targets/Hunt-IR, etc....

Instead i see dozens of other sights/optics, no one really uses...

I would say, look a bit more into the HK416+HK417 model variations Panda has made... they are almost perfect - theres everything for every choice without the need for massive "uncommon" sights/scopes.

Non ace weapons i find do not work well with ace weapons/ammo, and if its not in the ace package unlikely it would be used online or in missions.

I'm also keen for more variants of weapons... but by this I mean with fewer attachments, especially in the BLUFOR department. Don't get me wrong, the number of weapons is simply beautiful, and I understand the majority of the attachments are for cosmetic value only at this point in time, but I'd love to see a nice, plain M4 or M16A4 without a Surefire thangy or CQB grip on them, especially for use by rear-line units and/or tankies. smile_o.gif Some A2 series M16s would be nice too, since the standard ArmA ones are a bit lacking in comparison.

Oh, yeah. A new M16A2 and one with M203 would be lovely. Low priority of course, but hopefully we can see them some time in the future ^^

Can anyones tell when in pilot the action menu show "swich to remote" what is it for?

How can I launch missile from pilot ? When I fire the missile it always show "No Lock". banghead.gif
